Reviews of Loulou - French Cuisine & Wine Bar
It was our second visit here, returned because I really enjoyed the meal the first time round. The food was consistent and we tried different items on the menu this visit. The pasta was just a tad bit too dry for my liking, but the squid was an interesting dish - fresh, burrata was great with sweet cherry tomatoes and dessert was fab.
We came to Lou Lou for our anniversary dinner and it was the first time, but definitely won't be the last time.
I had the Grilled Tenderloin which was medium rare and wow, the meat was chewy and totally melts in your mouth. It was 1 of the best steak we had, compared to other well known steak restaurants.
The croustillant d'Escargots was very special and we like the combination of escargots & mushroom, plus a little crispy side.
Pâté en Croute was abit on the cold side but still, the taste was good.
Lobster Bisque comes a in big bowl and was creamy and with lots of lobster chunks.
Overall, the experience was great and service from Dexter, Precy and another beautiful lady(I had forgotten the name)
Was totally commendable. It was our Anniversary that day as I had mention on my reservation details, we was presented with 2 glass of CinCin champagne and a slice of Pistachio Cream Brûlée which we feel appreciated.
Overall, experience is good, except that the next door was another famous Michelin chinese restaurant, so if you are seated near to the entrance, is abit distracting.
We would definitely patronised again and highly recommended!
Really love the food, it is authentic and
delicious! Good portion, can be for sharing and
cooked excellently. The service is also top
notch, especially by Jeff, he is very friendly and
accomodating.
I think the star of the show is the Pastis
Flambeed Prawns. Love how buttery it is and
you can really taste the garlic. 5/5 stars!
We will come back here again!
Visited on a Saturday for brunch. Probably one of the best deals out there for free flow brunch (25$ for 1.5 hours; top up a bit more and you can get free flow oysters). Service is superb and you won’t have to call to top up the glasses.
I’d love to try their dinner menu next.
It would have been a great dining experience if the indoor actually has the full benefit of air condition. Wide open door that allows cool air to escape and warm air to come in, making it around mid to high 20 degrees celcius and ruined the experience eating while sweating.
Food is great, the kitchen is obviously well prepared and well coordinated. Dishes arrived promptly without too much waiting time despite a good sized crowded.
Service is attentive and the staff did their best to make sure everyone is served.
Wine list is decent and affordable.
But would not come back again because eating indoor should be a sweat free experience.
Menu is online. Very nice service staff. A lot of seafood choices. Prices also reasonable.
We visited for a birthday celebration, and the experience exceeded our expectations. The food was delightful, with generous portions and exceptional quality. What truly stood out, however, was the impeccable service. The staff was attentive, cheerful, and genuinely seemed to enjoy being there, which added a warm and personal touch to the evening. Their attentiveness made the whole experience feel special.
Despite the sophisticated nature of the dishes, the prices were quite reasonable, especially for Singapore, with both the food and the wine/champagne priced on the lower end of the spectrum.
I highly recommend this place—it’s a gem!
Amazing atmosphere, great food, wonderful service. Specially recommend the Pâté en Croûte, steaks, and Strawberry Mille Feuille. Definitely give it a try.
The food here is really good and I had a great dinner here. I had their signatures and all of the food are extremely well prepared and delicious.
Service here is top notch and Dex was so attentive and so helpful. I would highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a good date night.
Perfect sanctuary for a girls brunch❤️ My girlfriend brought me here and I absolutely loved the cozy & quiet ambience, the service (very friendly staffs), clean bathroom (which I am very big about) and most importantly the FOOD (which was also very affordable as a set menu)!!! LOVED their stuffed calamari, croquettes, pebble-like pasta(?), monkfish and dessert!! Though we were here with 3 girls during daytime, but I can see this place easily transition to a romantic dinner place for couples in the evening. I also heard they serve different brunch menus on weekends with freeflow, so I may visit with my hubby and kids soon! Absolutely loved it today 👍
The food was great and the restaurant had a nice ambience. Featured here is the Pissaladiere Nicoise, the Beef Tartare on Bone Marrow, Stuffed Calamari, Grilled Pork Presa and Strawberry Mille Feuille Carame. They also serve aperitifs and traditional cocktails that are not in the menu. Definitely would return to try out the other menu items!
Food was decent French fare. But the atmosphere outside with the nice seating was what we came for. Can get warm even at night.
Beef tartare with bone marrow was amazing. The stuffed calamari was done to the right texture, except the stuffing was a little salty for my palate. The pork was impressive & succulent. The service staff were very attentive & service was top notch!
Revisit this restaurant within a month due to their dishes which are so yummy especially the wagyu and lamb
The staff is still very friendly and helpful, we all had a good time tonight again
We came to this restaurant to celebrate b'day basically followed the high review score from Google map.
It turns up that we love this restaurant a lot for their excellent service especially from staff, Jeffrey who always keeps his smile on his face and even brings us a cake with candle and in the same sings the b'day song to us. Awesome
And of course, their dishes are super yummy, we recommend the sharing board, ribeye steak.
The wine price is quite reasonable, too
Friendly staff and high-quality food! Also enjoyed the atmosphere... not too loud/quiet or empty/crowded.
The only downside is no free dessert on birthday, even though we braved a cockroach that had wandered in after the rain and over to our table :( Thankfully, the waiter caught it.
nice and cosy atmosphere, have a lunch pre birthday celebration with friend. Really enjoy their beef tartare with bone marrow and truffle risotto. Free flow prosecco is quite a good deal if u enjoy bubbly
Going to explain the reasons for the ranking.
Food - Rating: 5 Stars
Every dish we ordered at this restaurant exceeded our expectations. It's rare for me to praise every single item, but this place truly impressed us. Of course, taste is subjective, but here's a breakdown of what we enjoyed:
- South West Duck Rilettes: The only critique would be the slightly hard bread served with it; toasting it lightly could enhance the experience. Nevertheless, the rillettes were bursting with flavor.
- Sobraada Croquettes: These had a unique and pleasant flavor profile without being overly intense or salty.
- Truffle Risotto: Perfectly executed risotto is hard to come by in Singapore, but this one struck the right balance—no sogginess like Chinese mui fan and a sauce that infused just the right amount of flavor.
- Grilled Tenderloin: A standout dish for us. In a city where wagyu beef reigns supreme due to its fatty texture, finding a non-fatty yet tender and flavorful beef dish is a rarity. This dish checked all the boxes, impressing even a non-beef eater like me with its tenderness and flavor complexity.
- Pinot Noir: We complemented our meal with a bottle of Pinot Noir, enhancing the overall dining experience.
We shared these dishes between both of us, and the portion sizes were ideal for us as we prefer sampling various items.
Service - Rating: 4 Stars
The service received a rating of 4 due to a slightly rocky start upon arrival. Despite indicating a preference for indoor seating when booking, my partner was initially seated outside as the indoor area was supposedly fully reserved. This misstep left a sour impression, especially considering the sweltering Singaporean weather. However, after a brief wait and some discomfort, they eventually accommodated us indoors.
Atmosphere - Rating: 3 Stars
The atmosphere scored a 3 mainly due to the initial seating hiccup. Clearer communication regarding indoor and outdoor booking options could prevent such incidents and enhance the overall experience. Once settled, the ambience was pleasant.
In conclusion, this restaurant boasts fantastic cuisine worth visiting for. With minor adjustments to their booking system, particularly in clarifying indoor and outdoor seating availability during reservation, the overall dining experience could be further elevated. Nonetheless, the quality of the food remains a definite highlight, making it a destination worthy of consideration.
We went there in a very big group of 12 pax last Saturday night. Ordered 2 starters, 2 sharing boards, 9 mains and 3 desserts to feed all of us. We were stuffed and satisfied with the food😊 all the side dishes were different for the grilled rib eye and pork pluma which were picked by our waiter😌 it was super fun and interesting to try so many things in a single meal. I particularly loved the sharing boards, grilled rib eye, pastis flambéed prawns, strawberry mille feuille and champagne infused pear. The other dishes were just ok for us but still decent. It’s hard to find a place like this where most of their dishes really impressed us, as usually only one or two dishes would be great in other restaurants. The only downside of this place was that the food was a little slow to be served, maybe because this place is still very new. Hope to see you guys improve on this, anyway will definitely come back in the future! PS: I need to specially mention again for the rib eye (cooked to medium)- one of the best steaks in SG🥰
It was a busy night at lou lou but service staff was attentive and prompt.
Wine selection is good. Food options are wide too.
We had the platter board. Grilled Lamb. Fish skiwer and lobster.
Save room for dessert.
Overall a great experience. Price is mid range to high but its worth it.
Came here for lunch set menu. At $28 this is one of the better value lunches around the area. We went for the pate & duck rillet for starters, pork secreto was juicy & tender, calamari main course was very well executed. Dessert was average.
Service is warm and welcoming. Kudos to Jeff & Sheila. :)
We had an enjoyable dinner at Loulou, a French restaurant at Keong Siak. Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice ambience.
Had the 3 course set lunch with salad nicoise and grilled monkfish. Fantastic! Nothing was over-flavoured or over-salted, which is a sign of skilled cooking. The fish had a wonderful charcoal flavour, and was perfectly complemented by the sides of garlic parsley mash and pilaf. The salad nicoise was also fresh with just enough dressing, tuna and anchovies.
All in all, the meal was fresh, balanced, healthy and flavourful. Would come back again for sure.
We struggled to find the best wine bar in China town but we chanced upon this place. So chuffed with the amazing service, curated wine and delicious food! Definitely recommend!!
Every dish was great! Good to go with family and friends whom you can share food with, to enjoy the variety of flavours and delights.
Lobster bisque was great, but pricey.
Rib Eye requested medium rare, came out kinda medium but usual I should have known this is SG — always order rare or rare+ if the kitchen can.
Prawn in garlic butter sauce with French liqueur(licorice flavor) was quite good too.
Jeff gave us fantastic service. The food was nice especially the flambéed prawn. Love this.
Awesome bistro with beautiful interior as well as Al fresco section.
We tried many items across the menu and were fully satisfied.
Food was excellent for the price. Our mains were generally good - the stuffed squid was nice & executed well, pork was done well, trout was excellent. Dessert was simple & fairly well done & presented. The menu is primarily southern france or Provençal. Service was attentive. Overall a good lunch & we plan to return for brunch.
Had a BD celebration lunch here with family. Parking can be difficult to get. Food is ok, mix of French and Mediterranean style
Made a last minute booking to celebrate a dear friend's birthday. Am so glad I chose this place. The food was amazing! Loved every single dish. Beside the food - the service was excellent too! The gentleman and the 2 ladies - all very attentive and sweet! And happy that they didnt forget that I was celebrating a birthday. :) They remembered the candle for the strawberry dessert. Definitely will be back again!
Came here twice, chance upon this place as my boyfriend did some research and brought me to this place! Just went for dinner with my friends again last night, the service staff remembers me from a month ago which surprises me. Food consistency is there but meat was not as fantastic yesterday as I had the first time. Overall it’s one of the good restaurants in Singapore to bring your friends and family. Thanks for the service!
First but definitely not my last time here at LouLou. Service was great as staffs had good recommendations and always looked out for us. Served us complimentary Baguette and butter to start which is authentic. Got the Lamb Chops, Grilled Seabass, and the Deconstructed Lemon Meringue Pie. Mains was absolutely amazing with a great portion size. First time trying Ratatouille so I didn’t know exactly how authentic it is but it was good personally as a side dish. Dessert was decent for its price but probably not the best from the dessert menu. Open kitchen concept was pretty cool for the views. Overall great experience and the best lamb chops I had in my life so far and will be back to try the oysters, steak, and wines next.
Had lunch on a Tuesday. Delightful service. Kudos to Jeff. Food was delicious - keep up the great work, Chef.
Interesting and affordable set lunches. Attentive staff and good service. Would go back again.
Setting a bit dim.
Had the loveliest evening at Loulou. Jeffrey and Raymond went out of their way to ensure everything was perfect. The restaurant is beautiful and felt cosy but also had a nice buzz on a Wednesday night. We tried the croquettes, stuffed calamari, grilled gambas and souffle. Every dish was generous, well presented and had so much flavour, would recommend them all! The birthday suprise complete with candle was an extra special touch too. Will definitely be back to work our way through the rest of the menu! Thank you!
It’s so nice to have a restaurant that believes in customer experience. Thank you Pamela and Jeff
Portion is value for money. Service is excellent. Taste for Poulet Basquaise was a tad strong due to the tomato paste.
This is great French restaurant with a good variety and tasty options.
Super good place for diner. Fine and ellaborated but not too sophisticated place to have diner.
Excellent wine selection!
Desert are good.
Don t miss the 1$ oyster thursdays!
Good ambience great service enjoyed the lunch.
Lovely French restaurant. The “rouille” that goes with the bouillabaisse is to die
for.
We had an Excellent service from Jeffrey
Seriously lovely food. Burrata, charcuterie and fish. Really really good. Southern French cuisine. Staff were attentive and exceptionally polite. A brilliant evening. Class act.
Great food and service. We had the lamb rack, duck rillette, grilled sea bass and Parma ham with melon. The last was a little underwhelming (but what could I expect from ham and melon), the rest were 👌
Fantastic little gem!! Very authentic french cousine, served in a cosy and welcoming atmosphere by very friendly, smiling and attentive staff! Big thumbs up to Jeffrey for a wonderful evening and meal! 👍🏻
Will definitely be back for more!!
Very good food and service, we had a great lunch and a great time, we also appreciated the live music.
We will be back definitely.
Cosy restaurant with french cuisine. Food is great, presentation of dishes not great, personnel is taking care well of the patrons.
Brunch menu and drinks free flow is a great deal. Reservations is a must to get seats.

Great food and great service from Jeff
In my opinion, besides being a rather small restaurant, the food served is quire a disappointment. The portion is small & pretty pricey.
Lovely place with great food and wine. Wonderful atmosphere - will be back for sure!
Awesome food, environment and service . Great lunch set
Everything is perfect, grilled the must order!
Loved it
Super tasty, great waiters.
