So glad we managed to try the Bakudan because they only limit it to 5 sets/day!! Every dish is so good, I'm definitely coming back 👍🏻 I think staff here are Japanese too so make sure you let them know the food is OISHIIII 😋

Other than the truffle somen & fried chicken with ponzu radish, the rest was meh 😅 Wouldn’t recommend the deep fried small fish… Miso eggplant was ok ;) The alcohol was tad disappointing (i ordered chilli green spicy & citrus barley sochu and daiyame sochu), perhaps too diluted that i can’t taste any alcohol 🥲 Total damage $78

Seemingly simple food done so well! (total dmg was $102 for 2 people, for dishes shown here + 3 bottles of Tiger beer). This place really makes unassumingly looking food taste so so good. My favorite is the omelet done perfectly (moist and juicy on the inside) and the seaweed side dish which is served hot, which I appreciate. The fried chicken with grated radish and ponzu took me by surprise, I didn't expect it to pair well initially.

Location easy to find, amazing service. We ordered their signature omeltte and it was so soft and fluffy. If you are coming for lunch, they have affordable lunch bentos going for $10 as well. Would definitely come back :)

Hidden away in the basement in a non descript mall, the food was surprisingly good. All 3 beef dishes were good with one being excellent being medium rare. Gyozas, monk fish liver, fried small fish and omelette were tasty. The only disappointing dish was the baked potato with an overcooked egg and strange tasting texture

THIS IS A HIDDEN GEM!!! A hole in the wall izakaya run by a Japanese couple that has just 4 tiny tables. It took a while for the food to arrive because there's just the one lady in the kitchen. But the wait was so worth it. My curry was flavourful and the meat was melt in your mouth tender. And the omelette was indeed all jiggly and フワフワ and super tasty!!! My colleague got the ikura & raw egg rice and she was singing its praises as well.

The melty Hokkaido scallop yukhoe was the most delicious. The sashimi and fish are overall delicious. The red bean liver and dashi rolled egg were also delicious. The service is also good and it seems like it will be one of the restaurants I would recommend to others. I ordered a 3-roll set of sushi, but the toppings were too thick and the wasabi was too strong, to be honest, it was the most disappointing. The Wagyu Yukhoe was also a bit too salty, making it difficult to finish it. However, other than this, I was satisfied with the overall taste. After writing a review, I was glad that the second drink was free, but the total cost for two people was $200, so it's not cheap, but the taste was good, so I think the satisfaction level was high.

Morinaga is a small, hidden tavern located in a quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of Orchard. This store has a warm atmosphere and courteous service that will make you feel at home. Each dish is carefully prepared using fresh ingredients, and the sashimi in particular is extremely fresh. There is a wide variety of sake available, and by enjoying it with your food, you can have an even more special time. Be sure to visit us for a special night in the orchard.
