Reviews of Muchachos
Love the foods there especially the nachos!
But the portion for tacos could be more for the price :)
Overall love it and will come again for their Taco Tuesday deal
Wanted some tacos, but a shame that they're not available. So had birria ramen instead as it's all the craze at one point. A little oily as birria tend to be, but umami is there on every slurp. The buttermilk fried chicken tenders though are really dry, the gravy was not enough to save it, will steer clear of this.
Looking forward to trying their tacos, hopefully they're available next time to redeem themselves.
friendly staff and quick service! love their taco tuesdays but be prepared to come early since they have limited seating
Decent taste but amount of chicken in my quesadilla not alot. Fish is dory so not worth to get fish in my opinion.
Two Thumbs Up for Taco Tuesdays! Tried a variety of tacos for takeaway. They were all delicious! Better with salsa. It was quiet in the early evening, so is definitely a good time to go if you're planning to dine in.
I've been a fan of Muchachos and their burritos since they've started, so I'm pleased that their food is still delicious. Til next time!
Hmm, this place was not bad, but not the best either. I think my quesadillas could be a bit saltier, and the burrito bowl was missing some hearty guacamole! The location was great though, glass windows looking outside, you can people watch and enjoy your meal.
This Mexican restaurant is a fantastic spot for anyone craving authentic burritos and quesadillas. The burritos are packed with fresh ingredients a must try, from perfectly seasoned meats to flavorful rice, beans, and tangy salsas that bring everything together. The quesadillas are equally impressive, with melty cheese and crisp tortillas that offer the perfect balance of textures. Portions are generous, and the menu offers a good range of toppings. The friendly atmosphere and vibrant decor make it a great place to enjoy a meal, though it can get busy during peak times. Overall, it’s a must-visit for Mexican food lovers! Love the vibes and really friendly staff.
Nice Mexico food. California burrito is the recommended one, inside is beef & French fries. Very nice. Hope can be a little less salt, then would be perfect :)
(still too salty for me after 5 years hhh
So glad we found this place! As a girl who grew up in the US, near the Mexican border and had real Mexican food, this is the closest place I’ve found in Singapore that mimics true taco flavors. We devoured the Carne Asada, the Barbara, Birria taco, and burrito. We will be definitely coming back!
🌮🌮🌮 Have been seeing so many #birria posts on my feed that I was so excited when @muchachos.sg finally brought it back
The birria quesataco is a crispy tortilla wrapped with oozing cheese and tender beef, dip it to the chock full of spice conssomé, and top it up with hot sauce
That's how it's done
The consommé is the liquid that the beef was cooked in so you' already know it's a bowl of rich and spicy goodness. The added fresh onion and coriander cuts through all the richness and brings up much needed freshness
Great Burritos! Fresh hot burritos that are value for money.
But be ready to queue for at least 15 mins if you’re going there around lunch time during weekdays.
Also the place is quite small and is completely full during lunch hrs and could get a bit noisy.
Yum yum Mexican food. We ordered the beef tongue taco and a chicken quesadilla! Both were great though I was especially drawn to the beef tongue which was superb! The queue tends to be a little long during lunch so do plan ahead. But all good things are worth the wait. I was just really sad I didn’t order the guac... will be back.
Nice burritos 🌯 heavy and tasty. Guacamole 🥑 also very good.
Few improvements needed, the queue is damn too Long. About 20 minutes and the place is Super noisy.
Closest california style mexican food in Singapore. I've been searching for something that reminds me of home.
Food:
Sourcream, guacamole, horchata, cholula hot sauce, and options for different meats (carne asada, lengua, carnitas, fish and etc are on the menu without special request/ask. Recommend quesadilla and breakfast burrito
Service:
Were friendly and speedy
Ambiance:
Felt like I was at a california restaurant!
Price:
Good and comparable to other mexican restaurants.
We were looking for delicious best value taco reasonable quality. And we found it today!!!! Highly recommended Jeff and Jane approved.
Came for their taco Tuesday promotion and was not disappointed. What I liked about this place is they stick to traditional recipe and ingredients - like how it would be served in Mexico or in the US. No need to fancy it up with expensive ingredients and make it overly complex like so many places in Singapore do. I thought the chicken and shrimp stole the show. Steak was quite nice as well. I’ll return for sure.
I had a hankering for Birria Tacos and after a quick search, I found this place. I tried their Birria Tacos and was very satisfied. I think it might be the only place with this dish. It's not easy to find and the staff is small. So they will be very busy. So please be patient.
Ordered the chicken burrito. Portion is big and very filling for a person. Other than a little salty for my palate, I like the texture and softness of the wrap.
If you have trouble finding this place, they place a red-neon-light skull at the shop front. There's no obvious writing about their name by the way. Serves variety of beef and chicken burritos and quesadillas. Recently they introduced lamb to the fray. Slushy margarita was available as well. Price has gone up over the year.
They have moved to Frasers Tower ground level for past 2 years (as at 2020).
Nice spot along Amoy Street with self service. It was packed on a Friday night, and free seating, so do come early.
Had the California burrito which is filling, and had fries in it, good for sharing.
Worth checking out when in the area!
The lengua (beef tongue) burrito and the cheeseburger are must tries. It’s only $3 more to upgrade to a double patty too! You can afford to skip the buttermilk chicken.
I visited when Muchachos was celebrating their 6th anniversary and gave 50% off, wow it was amazingly good. I had 4 tacos and they’re one of the best taco places I’ve ever had!
One of the best Mexican places I’ve visited so far. Love the steak burrito which was reasonably priced ($13.50) for the amount of meat and ingredients packed inside.
Cool Mexican place. Good enough selection for a quick bite. A refreshing change for dining out in this island. Pretty cool with the backlight (hence this blueish pic). Recommended.
As someone who grew up eating tex-mex style food, these guys knock it out of the park. I've tried a number of things across the menu and all was very good. Food is also made pretty quickly.
Super tasty Mexican in a fast food type space. There’s no atmosphere worth hanging around for but the food is definitely worth a stop. Loved the birrea tacos and the quesadilla. The corn tortillas for the tacos are really mild and thin — nice change from the denser more sour versions across the island.
This place used to be great, but unfortunately quality of food has dipped and not that easy to recommend anymore. My burrito when unwrapped smelled like raw dough, so I had to return it. They put it in the steamer for 2 more minutes, after which it still smelt a little raw, but this time I tried it and it felt fine. Overall I feel like I've visited this place enough times for now. Good enough for people to try it at least once, whether or not to return its your call.
So so food. But… order the birria. That’s the best here
We had a very good frozen Margarita and carnitas fries, this place has the closest I have got to the mexican flavors in Singapore. Staff was nice and helpful.
Chicken torta is good even though it is abit salty.
The food is quite delicious but with the profusion of great Mexican places, it is no longer the top of the pile. You would go there if it's the right place for you at the right time. But for the absolute best, there are other places. Portion sizes are enormous though.
Had tacos, we liked fish taco the best.
Followed by the non spicy chicken tenders. Salsa verde (green) had too much onions so we scraped them out haha
Red salsa with more tomatoes would be nice.
Drinks are expensive would pass.
Space is very echo-y so its slightly noisy with many people.
Awesome burritos, good choice of meats. Great for a casual dinner. I think the serving sizes are also generous. My favourites are the fries carne asada, the burrito bowls, specifically the pork is top notch. I'm not a huge fan of the beef, but i think it's my particular preference and not a criticism of how they cook it. The shrimp and fish are also really well prepared.
edit: visit 2 a year later -- no improvement half decent is generous. disappointed.
half decent Cali burrito. too many french fries/a bit on the salty side. they have Cholula, which is nice, but any self respecting burrito joint has a far superior hot sauce selection!
The food is really nice, especially the fish taco. It's so crispy! It is a self-service restaurant, we can help ourselves with free ice water. Food served fast.
Glad that I've found them after their temp ceased operation from the previous location. Their steak quesadilla are still so good, probably the best I have had. Must remember to add guacamole that greatly enhance the taste.
50% off for all HEALTHCARE WORKERS! Tried muchachos because of the generous discount. Its my first time trying muchachos. Parking was hard to find as it is in the cbd. Motorcycle parking can be found at the hawker centre facing the shop. The quesadilla was really delicious and flavourful! Ordered the LENGUA quesadilla. Lengua is tender and tasty. The portion was just nice. The California burrito on the other hand, OMG, too much! The fries in the burrito make you full.. the price however a little pricey without the discount. For salsa and guacamole, we have to buy separately as it is not provided even for the tortilla chips. Nothing special about it either. Have to wait a while for the food to be ready. Ambience was great and a number of seatings available.
Ordered pork burrito, quesadillas and nacho chips with guacomole. Burrito was big and filling. Love the quesadillas. The wrap was soft yet crispy. Would be better if salsa was added in the guacomole and quesadillas. Good ambience as well! Highly recommend.
There are plenty of eateries in this street but most of them are much more expensive than Muchachos. The food is really great for lunch. Nothing fancy or modern but tasty and delicious. It also has a seating area at the end and free ice water. Overall the place is highly recommended and also deliveries at home with the main companies in Singapore.
Big portions and flavourful. Love it that my burrito remained intact despite the multitude of ingredients stuffed inside even after several bites! Would still prefer Chipotle or Wahaca (in London)! Worth giving Super Loco a try as well for Mexican lovers in SG 🇲🇽
Table was dirty but staff was more than happy to clean it and efficiently cleaned it after we told them.
Food was great. I had the lengua burrito which was beef tongue. It tasted pretty good.
this place used to be located at kyeong siak Street. it got relocated here and I visited on a Friday night. food is pretty good, my fiancee loves the food even tho we rarely ate Mexican food. if you want good Mexican food can try here.
food too good forgot to take pic heh heh
Best burritos ever. I had steak and fries burritos and it was amaazzzinggggg.

The best Mexican in Singapore, no doubt. Their quesadillas are to die for and I'm so happy we came here. Decent atmosphere, good for small groups. Can get crowded on weekend nights.
Incredibly good food. Really loved the warm atmosphere of the place too. Definitely a go to place for Mexican food.
Liked the casual ambience and affordable Mexican fare.
the food was decent - though i regret getting the tacos (the best flavour was surprisingly the tongue) as most of the other meats didn’t compliment as well - maybe the burritos were better.
Birria Quesotacos con Consomé: 4.25 stars
Not for anyone on a diet. Greasy fried crispy taco filled with beef and cheese, served with a flavourful salty soup
Every bites is worth the calories!
Easily the best burrito in Singapore. Listen, I know burritos. I grew next to Mexico, and this place tastes like home. Quit goofing off at their competitors because this place is legit.
First time eating at the new place. Food is as good as before.
I'm from San Diego. With that being said this place is as close as its gets to the real deal in Singapore. The main cons are that prices are a bit on the higher side and it doesn't open late :(
Great food, wish they had normal drinks though. 6 dollar Mexican coke is just come with sugar cane instead of corn syrup like many of the regional variants.
Great staff team, great food (the quesadillas were delicious) and great atmosphere. Went for a dinner on Fri after work hours.
I brought a steak burrito to go. They were friendly and the food came out quickly.
The price is 15.8 single.
The size is quite large. Compared to a 300mm water bottle, it is similar in length and thicker. It's full of contents inside. I'm full.
The taste is exotic, but not too bad.
The taste is just so so.
The food is okay, the speed is fast, but the location is hard to find
The california burrito for lunch is good, the dough is softer than stuffd
I loved it! A little bit of Mexico in Singapore.
Great burritos, tacos et al.
