Reviews of Nana Bunsik 나나분식
Nana Bunsik at NEWest stands out not only for its affordable korean street food but for its DOSIRAK which is quite hard to find in Singapore!! 😍 The last time I had Dosirak was at Nami Island in Korea and I had so much fun shaking my bento box so imagine my happiness when I saw it on their menu.
Spam Kimchi Fried Rice Dosirak ($15.80)
Man this was soooo filling! The dosirak comes with spam, kimchi, kimchi fried rice, sunny side up egg, seaweed and anchovies. Ultimate comfort food where the flavours mixed so well together! The kimchi here is more on the sourish side so the dish didn’t get surfeiting towards the end.
Yangnyeom Fried Chicken ($13)
Apparently fried chicken is only sold at nights but we lucked out when we asked if they could fry a batch for us hahaha. This was good; generously coated and rather addictive.
Spam and Kimchi Gimbap ($11.80)
Bursting with ingredients, I would say you have to get this to share if you aren’t eating the dosirak of the same flavour. They have a variety of gimbap flavours to choose from and I would love to try the crabmeat mayo one next time.
Small shoutout to their potato salad that comes as part of their banchan. It was so creamy and delicious!
p/s look out for the crocheted korean food by the side of the wall! uber cute hahaha
New Korean restaurant in Newest serving very good street bites. Gimbap, Kimchee Pork Belly, Ramyeong, Tteobokki.
Food tastes good. Really like this place.
Update 12 May 2024: ordered Sundabu Jjigae and Pork Bibimbap. The latter was especially good. The pork was sliced not too thin so that the pork skin forms a kind of chewy rind and the gochujang sauce was not too overpowering.
Happen to passby this Korean eatery open at NeWest and decided to try as my family loves Korean food. Abit skeptical at first as its operated by a young couple.
But i was quickly slapped in my face by my naive thoughts when the food were served.
The food that we ordered was expectionally tasty and the prices was very kind on my wallet. The shop ambience is also very cosy.
Special recommendation on the Ramyeon and Sotteok which i have shared the photos in my review. Very very tasty.
Will be back to support the young couple and you should really give it a try if you happen to be nearby.
Lovely and cosy eatery :) we got the noodles (pork belly ramyeon & this cheese ramyeon whcih i forgot the name im sorry) and a drink each - it was a v comforting meal and would love to come back to try the dosirak! They're also open til late so it's a nice place to have a drink and supper too
Great stews and hotpot rice with generous serving of kimchi! Good place to get your Korean food fix after too much of kdrama
Good lunch option. Staff are very accommodating.
Soft tofu stew - hearty, spicy, strong kimchi
Original Ramyeon w/cheese - very hearty & filling
Spam kimchi fried rice dosirak - filling, tasty, slightly greasy
Original gimbap - well wrapped and stuffed
Tuna Mayo ball - cold and fully filled
Many extra portions of potato banchan
Had lunch here with a party of 6, averaged to $24/pax. Overall a bit pricy for the location.
Can likely have a filling meal with just the potato and tuna ball.
the food is very authentic! i LOVE the seafood stew. Strongly recommend getting the seafood pancake and gimbap for sharing. the portion is just nice, the staffs are friendly too
Nice authentic korean food in the cutest interior :) not too hurtful on pocket either. Loved the topoki and original gimbap!
Went to Newest mall to look for dinner out of curiosity. There were very few eateries that were opened and we settled on this small eatery. Food was really disappointing in terms of quality and portion given the prices. The regular ramyeon was similar to instant noodles with supposedly mozzarella which can hardly be tasted at $12, the chicken bibimbap was of the size that is slightly bigger than my palm at $17.90 with so little chicken. The fried rice with spam is about a young child’s portion. Overall, it was more than $60 for 3 pax with no drinks. We had to look for something else at somewhere else to fill our still hungry tummies.
Had dinner multiple times here. It is a cosy authentic Korean bunsik that offers many staple Korean dishes and they open till late!
Great place for dinner/supper if you’re in the West as it is also conveniently located along the highway (just exit the highway and you’re there) or by bus as there is a bus stop right in front of the mall.
Their ramyeon is very rich and flavourful and definitely one of my go to dishes. Along side their fragrant japchae. Do note, their potato salad is highly addictive.
Overall, don’t expect a fancy restaurant but one of the best authentic, simple and humble hidden gem for Korean food.
Their kimchi pancake is one of the best I have ever tasted! Highly recommend their original gimbap, spicy chicken and japchae! The staff were very friendly and food was served fast too. It’s a must visit place if you enjoys Korean food!
No frills Korean fare at pocket friendly prices n friendly service. Too bad no soju to go with.
Very tasty authentic Korean food. Especially the gimbab and pancake. But prices are on the slightly pricier side.
Ordered a main set for 2, i must say best korean food i’ve had in awhile in Singapore. They serve really authentic korean food and the service was impeccable.
Very nice place for simple Korean dishes. Service is very friendly. Food is good, I like the dosirak best. The ambience is very nice, cozy n relaxing.
Very kind workers ♡♡♡
Fishcake soup was yummzz
Came here during their soft launch, can’t wait for their extensive menu next month. Love their spicy pork belly rice bowl!!
Place is accessible and food is affordable.
Super genuine Korean food and helpful/flexible staff!
Delicious potato salad, cozy cafe & attentive staff 😋
good food and good service
Another new hidden gem of the WEST! Say reals its a must try in your life time
