First time try. The food was superb. Very delicious. But not cheap. Didn’t manage to take many photos as was busy talking and eating. The first photo shows the lobster porridge and the second one was the bamboo. They were fantastic.

Had Our Xmas Dinner Here. Service Staffs Were Super Attentive N Polite. The Lady Who Served Us Even Placed The Lobster Nicely For Me To Take Pictures😁. All The Dishes Were Good As Usual. Just Tat During Payment Time, My Partner Had Told Cashier Tat Wet Wipes Were Unused. But Was Still Charged Into Credit Card Payment. It Was A Hassle To Make A Refund N Charged To Credit Card Again. Therefore We Just Took The Wet Wipes And Left. And To Add On, Not Sure Why There Wasnt Any Set Menu For 2 Pax.

Love Australia lobster porridge was nice & fresh. Steven chicken taste good too. Personal recommend this 2 dishes. Price is at the high side, environment is quite noisy. Service is not bad, friendly staff. But staff serving food & cleaner wear same glove to serve food, exchange tableware, clean up table. It was kind of unhygienic to do so.

Being a Singaporean, live seafood is a classic! And I am glad somewhere like Orchid Live is still around! The portion is fairly large and the taste of their dishes were great! I really like the pricing and promos they have from time to time! Their Alaskan king crab, Australia lobster, and lobster porridge is a must! A definitive order is their signature Steven Chicken, this dish is my favourite! Overall this place is a great alternative to some of the other well-known brands in SG. If you live in the north area then this is surely the place to go! Will definitely go back to visit whenever I have to chance to go up north in Sg.

Delicious 👍👍👍 took the set and includes very good dishes. Yummy fried chickens(must try), scallops with vege, tasty and big chili crab plus fried buns, fried squids( crunchy 👍👍) lobster(thick and juicy 🤩)porridge taste is heavenly. Steam sea bass. Great for family gathering. Also got free Udders ice cream . Prefer the chocolate favour.. 😋

The location is more accessible than the previous location and the restaurant environment is very cozy! The staffs are very prompt to assist to refill tea, help to fill up the bowl of porridge, changing to new plates and clearing the shells! Their signature lobster porridge is very flavourful!

Lobster porridge was great as usual. So was the fried chicken. The chicken meat was somewhat de-boned and make it really easy to eat. Overall, seafood was fresh, service was prompt and reasonably priced!

Stevens chicken is a slightly sweet version of shrimp paste chicken. Ordered 3 servings of those. The lobster species had the most meat I've had so far. They couldn't tell me the species though. Booked a outcasts room with minimum $500. They try to push the set menu but we ordered straight from menu instead and got what we really wanted to eat instead. There were manila clams in the aquariums but didn't see it on the menu.

Visited Orchid live for celebrate Father’s Day for my dad during off peak season to avoid the crowd. It was easy to get to at home team Ns. Easy to locate too and convenient to get to. Service was great and they made sure my parents were happy. Loved the food. My parents loved the Steven’s chicken and the lobster porridge was yummy. Not forgetting the Fried sotong in Thai sauce! Slurp! That could definitely be a dish you can have with a friend over some beers too! I heard there’s another outlet - chicks n lobs. I’ll want to try that out. Overall, great experience and would definitely recommend to check it out too!

Love the lobster porridge. Lobsters were big and fresh. 👍🏻 Chilli crab is delicious too. Rather different from other seafood restaurants which usually taste sweet. Steven’s chicken is a must order! Recently ordered a 20pax Steven’s chicken for my kids birthday party. It was so good, gone in minutes!

Served very fresh seafood. A nice place with alert staff though a little noisy when I was there during the weekend. At the end of the dinner, we were served ice cream foc! Kind of a good spirit to reward diners. I was so busy with eating only remember to take a photo of the Alaska King Crab. 😄

This is my 2nd time returning to this restaurant for its signature lobster porridge. We ordered the set dinner meal for 4 with Australian lobster. The original lobster porridge uses about 1kg of the local spiny lobsters (small and medium sized ones) whilst the Australian lobster porridge uses one medium/large lobster at about 1kg - 1.1kg each. Between the two, it’s clear that the Australian lobster porridge is very much tastier and meatier also. We get to steam the 2nd lobster with garlic and this is strongly recommended. The waiters and waitresses are very attentive. The restaurant decor is simple and functional. I would recommend this restaurant if you want good food.

Ordered the $398 set and promo dungeness crabs for delivery. Food arrived still hot (close distance to my home) and earlier than expected timing. Great food and portion. Taste wise is great, except for the cream cheese crab which is a bit sweet. Will order again next time Jan24 update: ordered again but it's a disappointment this time. The Boston lobster are so tiny and meatless, and doesn't seem to be 600g. Crabs are also less meatier. Won't be eating a 3rd time anymore

All my three siblings are walking directory for good food in Singapore. Orchid Live Seafood is one place we will always go to satisfy our crave for good seafood and of course, the hot tasty lobster porridge. Uncontrolled greed always set in when we begin to order - claims, crabs, steam fish, abalone, prawns and of course the famous must have chicken wings! I like their new location at Home Team, and I am sure business lunch or dinner can be added to my future trips here.

Ordered 2 person set dinner $88 that included lobster porridge. Porridge was a bit too salty compared to the previous visits. All the food arrived less than 10mins after ordering. Kailan was too hard... restaurant is clean and spacious.

Service is good. It isnt overly crowded. (I was here a long time ago) It's not that cheap if you're looking for cheap food. This is chinese restaurant stuff with chinese retaurant quality food. What I tried: Stevens Chicken, Lobster Porridge, Cold Crab & Patin Fish, All of the above are awesome. The cold crab is my favourite here. Go ahead, order for each person one cold crab each! You wont regret! For any cold crab craving (thats a mouthful) Ill definitely be here.

Not a very accessible location but the lobster porridge and Steven chicken is definitely worth the trip. Not many seafood varieties to choose from thou. Parking can be a problem as well due to limited slots available.

Cream cheese Boston lobsters were so good 😋 The image shows 2 lobsters as there's an ongoing 1 for 1 promotion. With one bowl of rice, it's about $80+ for 2 pax. Would love to go again at this price. The broth was really yummy!

1. Lobster porridge not boiled to sizzling hot to boost the aroma. 2. Claypot tofu veg is also not heated sizzling hot to boost the aroma. 3. Pig trotter6jelly is a big disappointment, no belly meat, coriander, soy sauce spices and jelly is too stiff unlike those in hawker centre teochew traditional pork jelly that can dance. 4. The yam paste is just like kaya, no aroma, coconut milk and lightly oiled surface. Overall this is not a teochew style restaurant.

This restaurant is SO reasonably priced, it's actually on par with having a quality seafood meal in JB. The lobster porridge is divine, the lobsters are sweet and juicy, the portions are generous, the freshly steamed soon hock is meaty and the flesh melting, the prawns sweet and crunchy... it was so good. We paid about $500, seven or eight courses for eight people. Everybody left incredibly full, and we're pretty big eaters, mind you. We were so impressed that we booked a slot and paid a deposit to come back for mother's day. If you want a great seafood meal that won't break the bank, this place is your best bet.

I ordered 2 pax lunch set. Comes with lobster porridge, signature chicken and a vegetable dish, supplemented with Udder ice cream. I can say the porridge was really good. The atmosphere during lunch hour is very conducive, with enough air-conditioning as not crowded. Recommended for casual dining.

Lobster is definitely fresh, soup savory and tasty. It made sense for 2 pax to go for the package deal 88++ , one veggie dish , one signature chicken dish. Price is still on the high side, a little under staffed despite having only half the place filled on a Saturday. Plenty of parking and easy to find.

Super difficult to hold a conversation here as the place was really loud and enclosed. Relatively crowded on a Friday night. Pretty average food to me. Steven chicken was simply fried chicken with some sweet and savory sauce over it. Long beans were quite soggy but tasted alright. Steamed fish, spinach with egg, Thai style tofu and fried baby squid were good.

Famous for their lobster porridge but to me , it's kind of overrated because there's msg in it. I know because my tongue became kinda numb. Lobster was sweet but for a big pot of porridge, the lobster was only enough to serve 2 halves for each person. Porridge was also 60% filled with soup. Love the fried chicken but alittle too sweet. Stir fried broccoli with scallops and carrots but scallops weren't the beautiful off white or white color and also a little broken. Fish was good. Got a mosquito bite during the meal too. Overall not how I thought it would be for a $300+ for 6 pax with only 2 small black pepper crab.

It is not recommended to come on holidays, please wait at least 30 minutes. The four-person package is $240++. Whether it’s worth it or not is a matter of opinion. 🥢

The location and atmosphere are okay, but the food is just average. This is my first time eating porridge like this. It should be called lobster soup with rice.

It’s a small farm. It’s worth staying together if you don’t care about the environment. It specializes in live seafood. You can eat abalone and lobster for 300 yuan, which is enough for 5 people.
