Very good place to have a meal. Prices are above average, but the food was worth it. I ordered the duck Wellington, fried baby squid and Caesar salad. Every dish was full of flavour. The wasabi mayo was very potent. Be warned.

The food is delicious, ordered sirloin steak, fish and chip, tempura mushroom and mushroom soup. The steak was nicely done. Fries were great. Ended off with creme brûlée and salted caramel ice cream!! Be prepared to wait during meal hours..

Everything here is….POWEEEEER. Fries was crispy/flavourful , PrimeRibeye Medium was….POWEEEEER. and the rest of the dish was also…..POWEEEEER! The friendly and top notch service delivered by the staff on 18July 1900hrs-2100hrs was the icing on the cake. Overall……POWEEEEER!!!

Fantastic food. Cook to perfection. The lamb rack, meat is tender without any strong lamb smell. The bone marrow. +++++ with the bread. Would be better if they could offer heated teppan or fire to keep tulang warm.

Reservation seamless, you can even pre-order. Very friendly staff. Food is delicious and ambience is nice. Lamb shank is really good. My striploin was closer to medium well than medium but it was still good. They were nice to let me try the 3 sauces. Fish & chips nice too but portion not as big as I imagined. Overall, very satisfied.

Had the Lamb Rack, Truffle Fries, Duck and Bone Marrow. Everything was so so so good except that bone marrow was abiiit salty. Lamb was cooked medium rare. Duck was very juicy and thick slices. Creme Brulee was really good! Not too sweet. Very refreshing wash after the savoury food! Staff are really friendly too.

Excellent food! The tenderloin is cooked to perfect medium rare! The Lemak Chili Padi Pasta has a unique yet familiar taste and the soft shell crab is full of flesh! Even the fries are good. My boy hates veg but finds the chimicurri tasty! The blue cheese sauce is great too! We had our classic crème brûlée on the house cause it is my son’s 15 th birthday. Thanks to our waiter sadeva for being so attentive!

The Lemak Chili Padi Pasta stands out with its unique blend of pasta infused with local flavors. While I enjoy the right level of spiciness, I'd prefer it a bit milder to balance the other dishes. The well-cooked duck slices complement the dish nicely. The Soft Shell Crab Pasta steals the show for me with its well-balanced taste and delightful textures. Although both pastas are a bit dry, I assume it’s intentional; personally, I’d prefer a bit more sauce. The al dente pasta texture is just right for me. The juicy Prime Ribeye Steak, though possibly slightly overcooked for 'medium rare,' remains delicious even without the sauce. The accompanying sauces are well-balanced and enhance the overall flavour. Considering the high food standards, the prices are reasonable. The staff wad very friendly too. We’ll definitely return.

Perfect medium rare tenderloin with super delicious blue cheese sauce! Good service. Waited a bit for the food but understandable as we came as a big group on a weekday after lunch hours. Came here for company lunch and I'm sure we will be back! Oh their creme brulee was awesome!

Cozy cafe with amazing food selection. Visted here twice! Highly recommended the Fish & Chip. Crispy fries, fish wasn't dry. Pasta Aglio olio. Flavourful, not dry either. Wings was spicy, a great choice for starters! Lava cake to end off my meal. Will come back to try the creme bruleé. Overall service was great. Waiter did a great job, remember all our orders. Food is good. Price range from $20 and up. Store’s surrounding can be improved, especially in terms of cleanliness but I understand it may not be in their control. There were some junk placed beside the shop😅 Carpark is a little difficult in the area. Staff were all friendly though.

Came here to treat my husband to his birthday dinner. We ordered the lamb rack, roasted duck, and their signature bone marrow. Waiting time is about 30-45 minutes as everything is made from scratch. Simply said, the food was AMAZING!! Everything was made to perfection right down to their mashed potato with pumpkin puree. The bone marrow was too good it sent shivers down to our spine, and we had to order another one. We are excited to come back here and try other dishes. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Loved the duck wellington (order a day in advance, aak for a bit more gravy) and the ayam betutu, which was nice and moist and very flavourful.The waiting time was a bit long, esp for a weekday lunch. A big table had got there just before us. Attentive service.

Went there for my dad & nephew birthday dinner,15 of us.Reservation process was fast.Our 1st time there & i must say that their service & food was really great! Cosy with attentive staff. Ordered their salted egg soft shell crab and it was SO GOOD. Sitting here thinking of it now makes me wanna go get it again.. it was that yummm. Their steaks were done nicely too, well seasoned and doness was perfect!

Overall the food and drinks were good! The service was good too. We ordered the soft shell crab aglio olio and smoked duck aglio olio. For drinks, the mocktail Mojito and A&W root beer float. Truffle fries was not oily and tasty. For desserts, we had the Creme Brulee and it's good for sharing!

Date of visit 27 feb 2023 Time 630P One of the most underrated places i have even been to. Very nice music/good ambience. The service is exceptional by the staffs especially the indonesian guy with the ear piercings. He was awesome. Ordered Squid Ink Pasta 8/10 The pasta is delicious 😋 😍 But the squid could be a little bit tender. Steak 7/10 It was normal piece of steak but it was thick. Cook medium rare as what we ordered. The highlight is the duck breast with mashed potato and pumpkin puree. 10/10 because i love duck so much and it is so delicious. Would definitely come back to visit this awesome place. The service was wonderful. The team reached out prior to our reservation to take our pre-order to be in time for break fast. Walked past this cafe a few times on my way to my Prata fix down the road. It’s usually packed and saw good reviews. It was as good as its reviews. Squid ink (pedas) Pasta was shiokadoos! The waitress did highlight its really very spicy when we ordered. And boy, it’s really spicy. It came with the whole squid which was cooked perfectly. Lemak cili padi pasta was good too but would skip this and opt for their non spicy pasta The service was impeccable. The complimentary Pandan creme brûlée was a sweet touch to end our meal. Would visit again.

FOH service was as expected. The male server was very attentive and accommodating. Food was well plated and tasted good. Portion was just nice. Squid ink pasta was the highlight. Nice kick of heat in the dish. Barramundi was cooked perfectly. Downside of the place is the long wait time for the food to be out. There were 3 tables but the wait was agonising. Ordered at around 7pm and food came out around 7:30pm. I know it’s iftar timing but the place was barely half filled. Perhaps they are understaff in the kitchen or something. One thing for sure I won’t be there if it’s full capacity.

Ordered the Lemak Cili Padi pasta and Salted Egg Soft Shell Crab pasta and both dishes were amazingly delicious. Had the Pandan Creme Brulee for dessert and it was super yummy. The service staff was also really friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this place, and would definitely be coming back for more!

The service & atmosphere was good! Unfortunately, the food wasn’t very good. My colleagues and I ordered the lunch set - pan seared salmon + mushroom soup / chicken thigh + salad. The mushroom soup tasted a bit off, a little too “cheesy/creamy” but the pan seared salmon was really good! The salad didn’t really have a very good dressing but the chicken thigh was well marinated and grilled - unfortunately the fries on the side was a quite salty. Portion-wise, was great! Waiting time was a bit slow - maybe only 1 chef in kitchen so it’s okay! Overall, the place was really aesthetically appealing. Nice decors and lighting!

this was our 2nd time as a group dining here and the dishes were delicious and on point. we had the tempura mushroom (fits our palate so well!), pan-seared salmon, prawn laksa pasta (spicy but soo good!) , chicken ala carbonara and 2 desserts as pictured below. We loved the taste of each dish and the service by the staff were top notch. we had a gentleman staff who ensured we had sufficient water throughout our meal and also gave off friendly vibes during our dinner. definitely a place you wld brg friends and family over. they also have a musollah so its an easy option for meals!

The duck wellington was tender and juicy ! The durian creme brulee was really nice ! You can really taste the durian meat in the dessert. Another great dish we tried is the laksa pasta. A hidden gem in one corner of Macpherson. The Pasta Black ink squid, Pasta Lemak chilli padi with duck, Fish & Chips and the Kids Pasta Carbonara (so cheesy) and Marinara sets, are all so so so good! The menu offers a very wide selection and the staff are all friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this cosy joint. Will definitely be back. Good for Iftar too, with available prayer room and kurma to go around. Before we left, had left overs and we even packed and the packaging are also done nicely. ✔️ A good 5/5! My kids also loved this resto!

Squid Ink Pasta tastes like dry laksa—well-seasoned and portion was generous with a whole squid! Cordon Bleu was pretty good as well; chicken was moist. Not life-changing, but you can definitely have a very decent meal here!

Simple fusion food located in the east. The taste isn’t overpowering nor too much. It hits your palate just nice. It has toilet and musollah, very convenient for Muslim customers. Other than that, nothing too special about this restaurant.

Steak was decent, loves the fries. It’s flavourful. Got them to increase spice level for my laksa pasta, glad that they were able to do it. It comes with slight kick which I like, but it was too sweet. It was creamy, but they went abit too much on the sweetness level for the laksa, that it got me feeling sick before I’m even halfway through. Prawns wasn’t fresh, it’s dry and hard. Didn’t finish my pasta in the end, can be improved.

Everything was so good from the appetizers to the mains and the desserts. During my reservation, i added a note to check if they have cake. Irma messaged me on my phone to update me which i appreciated alot. I always love malay food and everything on the menu has a twist. It was so hard to make choices cos they have alot of interesting and yummy looking dishes on the menu. In the end, my friend had the prime rib while i had the squid ink pasta for mains. We also had the truffle fries and mushroom tempura (nicely done!!) for starters. I am bad a describing food, all i can say was the food was superb and we definitely go back there again to eat. Serving time is a bit long but i guess that's why the food is good! So be patient and wait. The place is spacious and clean, and bright making it a enjoyable space. Thank you PMS for the complentary dessert for birthday celebration. Grateful and full :)

This restaurant is great! The staff is really attentive and friendly. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Place was quite hard to find, service was great - everyone was very friendly and provided a complimentary creme brulee for my friend’s birthday. The barramundi was pretty good but the oven baked bone marrow unfortunately, smelled very bad (wasnt fresh, left out long, bad batch? no idea) took two bites and i couldnt eat anymore. Sides were okay too.

1st time coming here after 3 tries. 1st try, wife was called back to work, 2nd try whole family affected by Covid, 3rd try and almost did not make it because of the rain. Order appetizers and tomahawk and dessert. Verdict, superb and when I go through the menus I can bring my kids along next time as their choice of food are there (kids fussy eaters). Price wise, reasonable. Will I come back next time. Definitely.

The honey glazed smoked lamb rack served with potato gratin & charred asparagus is the most perfectly cooked, succulent & scrumptious lamb dish I have ever had so far & it’s a must try if you are a lamb meat lover! Do start with their delicious appetizer like truffle fries which I had cause the lamb rack needs to wait at least 40 mins but it’s definitely worth the wait & not to mention their excellent customer service! Will definitely come again 💯👍

Superb attention to details. Coming in as a solo parent taking care of 2 young kids have been manageable, thanks to a very tight and united crew. Food was served timely despite a full house. Although the burger patty were a little saltier, and the pasta a little more cheesy, I will come back again to try other things on the menu.

I’ve been here twice and the food is great - the squid ink pasta was especially delicious. But what is even better is the service here - their servers are super friendly, kind and helpful in making recommendations. We dined with 2 small children, so it was extra sweet to have the staff interact with them so kindly and patiently. They even have the kids ice cream on the house! Thanks for a great experience! Came specifically for the beef Wellington but it was so popular it sold out. It must be so good! So we tried their squid ink pasta and their rack of lamb. Finished off with their choc lava cake. Everything was superb! Will definitely come again and try everything else. 10/10!

Came by with the family for Sunday lunch to explore café around MacPherson area. Was surprised to find this lovely café. Menu options are plenty with dessert and drink options. Also has some kid's menu items. It wasn't so crowded and ambience was cool and relaxing. Service staff was friendly and quick with service. Food was good, I had the salted egg soft shell pasta & hubby had the salmon on mash. Tasty and portions are decent. Will definitely visit again.

Went there with my wife/family 2 days in a row! First, it was on a date with my wife and then with the family. Simply because the food was excellent and service worth going back for. Always smiling and always courteous. They were ever so attentive to our needs and empty glasses. The dishes were very well prepared, and the presented just like at a hotel. Absolutely amazing food. I ordered the Chicken Carbonara and waffles. All tasted amazing. Had to wait for a while, but some good things are worth waiting for, in this case the food. We were looking at what to eat and we came Across Pestle and Mortar society! We Decided to drop by because the pictures looked good on Instagram! The Food was as good as it looks in the picture! Ribeye Steak with Black pepper sauce was Great! The Creme brûlée is definitely the best one i ever tried! Definitely will be coming back again.Staffs were very friendly and welcoming.Definitely one of my favourite places to go!Highly recommended!!!

This cafe nailed food and hospitality. The food was nothing short of excellent. We had the salmon, salted egg soft shell crab pasta, short beef ribs and bone marrow. Salmon was perfectly cooked, pasta was delicious, ribs were tender and bone marrow was satisfying. Only verdict would be the ex price, but I would say it is 100% worth it. Hospitality was a game-changer too. The staff were very friendly when it came to recommendations. Also, I told the counter that it was my son's birthday, which was the reason we came. They then decided to give him a free Creme brulee as a bday surprise. Overall everyone enjoyed it and we appreciate the effort they put in to giving us an amazing experience. Will definitely patronise again!

Prayer area available, that's definitely a plus👍👍 Feedback - As its an air-conditioned restaurant, having fan on might not be necessary as food served gets cold faster. My husband and I enjoyed the music selections while we had our dinner earlier. Dimmer lighting may help to set the mood a lil better too. Overall wonderful experience.

Excellent service with warm hospitality. We ordered oven baked barramundi, truffle fries, striploin(medium rare was cooked to perfection 🤩) and 2 kids meal(marinara &nugget). It was my husband and daughter's birthday, they gave complimentary creme brulee with a scoop of vanilla icecream. We totally enjoyed our food! Highly recommended to all foodies out there! Visited earlier for my birthday lunch, and i left a happier man. Food was ridiculously good. We started with the buffalo wings/drumlets and requested the sauce to be separated. Batter for the chicken tempura-like crispy. Sauce was balanced. As soon as the appetisers were demolished, we were served the salted egg pasta with fried soft shell crab and need i say more. The dish is a no-miss main that has been a crowd pleaser since the birth of time. Next was the ribeye steak. I asked for medium rare and indeed it was. We got the three different sauces of which my favourite was this blue cheese dip. I wished i had that dip for the buffalo wings as well but i guess they will meet in my tummy instead. Next was the star of the show. The bone marrow dish was what i came here for. It was beautifully presented, one bone marrow split in half, topped with some caviar, laid on a bed of salad greens and some pomegranate pieces, served with a few pieces of sliced baguettes oven baked with garlic and cheese. Oh to die for. Last but not least, the sliced duck on a bed on mashed potatoes. I’m sure if i had ordered just that it would be an awesome dish, but the bone marrow was just…. Too good. Service was EXCELLENT. And since it was “still my birthday” i got a complimentary durian crème brûlée and i’m just a blessed. Thank you Pestle & Mortar Society!! :-) 10/10.
