Reviews of Red House Seafood Nanyang (Clarke Quay)
The crabs were big, superb and succulent. The place opens after 530pm. Be prepared for very steep prices (up to 88 bucks per kilogram). You are given all the necessary tools to get every single morsel out. Plus make sure to order fried buns. They go so well with the sauce!
On the contrary of most reviews, the Sri-lanka crab was the only good part of this restaurent. It was full and fresh. I didn’t like the chili sauce. Fried bun was also nice. They poured me jasmine tea before they asked me for tea and charged it with water towel. Don’t let them give you tea or water towel unless you want them. They cost about 3 dollars. At least, the manager was kind enough to tell me the price of chili crab before they put the order.
I felt not balance between the price and taste, If you coice crab, it shall be Slilanka crab.
I have been the Little Red House customer since 2008. Now their dishes are still the excellent favours among others. I had introduced to my HK friends n relatives, they all very satisfied the food .😋
The price is something for me
But definetly delicious. The chilli crab isnt my taste. Dont really like the taste of its flavour, so its not my fav. I just bought three dishes and the bamboo clam is delicious so do the pok chay with scallop
Tasty and authentic Singaporean Chinese seafood.
But pricy. Cost us about $60 each without crabs.
Service was good and fast without needing to wait for a long time for food to come. Ask the servers for recommendations if you're unsure of what to order
A rather touristy seafood restaurant in Clarke Quay. Food is fine, only fine, not outstanding, unfortunately. Chilli crab was too sweet, fried rice was too dry.
Food was tasty. We were there on a thirsday night, restaurant was pretty crowded and our dishes came one by one, after a 30 min wait. I felt that the dishes could have be served together, or at least not take so long.
Staff tried to be attentive and the trainee waiters were hardworking.
Total bill came up to sgd1000 for 15 pax.
patronize here over all other crab chains! excellent crab far exceeding jumbo. and better than long beach. service is also very good attentive local servers unlike jumbo where it's all from china and refuse to serve in English and show strong bias to tourists. will come again.
Chili crab was out of control tasty. I definitely reccomend. A 2 pound crab with some buns and a pitcher of beer costs around 150 Singapore dollars. Worth it! Super fresh and not a hint of saltiness.
Majestically located at Clarke quay is this pinkish Chinese restaurant.
Very nice seafood, the salted egg crab is delicious. Fish with asparagus is great.
Good service. The waitresses very friendly and responsive. Food also very yummy n delicious. Dining area is clean and tidy. Price is reasonable and affordable. Really make our day. Recommand all of you to take a chance have ur lunch because of the good service.
For an expensive place, could have been more upscale, but the chilli crab that we ordered was great. Make sure to buy the buns. Buns ans crab will fill you up
Wonderful for dinners with family and friends! Food was pretty good. The atmosphere and service were great as well:)
It was moderately hot and delicious. I want to go there again.
The food is delicious and the service is good. I recommend it.
Taste is good. Crab is big. Service is great. Food display so so. I did not make the payment I don know if it's worth it. Service standard they change plate for each dish you have. They offer glove when you order crab. 😀
Excellent sea food but very limited options for non Sea food lovers
1. The food excellent
Raw sealife cusine material is
Awesome.
2. The service is excellent.
3. The service top notch
For very e long I did not even spot this place in the busy Clarke quay. It is somewhat hidden amongst all the pubs and the restaurant situated along the river. I got introduced to this place through a colleague who was a localite in Singapore. But I must say that this place does have delicious servings of crab and seafood. Highly recommended if you are looking for a relatively quiet place which involves some amount of fine dining in the relatively noisy and happening place of Clarke quay
I was told i had to try the famous chilli crabs there, but the chilly turned out to be wayyyy to spicy. They could have served us dog or rats, none would figure out what that was....we also had lobster, nothing special, they charged us the wet towels, every piece or small bread bun and the tea which we didn't order....that shocked me....in a restaurant where the price is not quite low. Would not come back
Had the bamboo pith soup, the Wong bok was undercook, both the mushroom and Wong bok were cook separately from the soup, making the ingredients bland and not flavorful. Sambal kangkong was lack of spiciness and dried prawns fragrant. The fried manitou was pretty good. Personally find the chili crab more on the sweet strong ketchup side. Was quite ok overall.
I loved their soup and their lobster promotion is satisfactory. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, staff are efficient and provide excellent service. Dim sum was also good and a must try.
Food was great, and service was friendly and efficient. We had the Chilli Crab (with buns) which was a great choice (if not totally messy). Worth a visit if you're in the area.
Great chilli crab- but had to pay for water (they don’t provide tap water). Unsure if this is a Singapore thing (but have been to other restaurants who provide tap water fine). Waiters don’t speak much English so I think Mando is the way to go. Chilli crab is actually that- chilli (perhaps that is intentional given they charge for water 🤷🏻♀️) but definitely more chilli than what I’m used to. Have been here once before 2 years ago so this paying for water is a new thing.
Next time I’m here in Singapore, however, I’m sticking to the usual chill crab joint
Fantastic food and staff.Highly recommend if you want Chilli crab.
Very good service, very good taste food. I’ll recommend to my friend
Delicious food and good service
I had a great dinner here. The place is a little cosier and quieter than another crab restaurant like Jumbo. I also appreciated the attentive service provided.
I am a Jumbo Seafood member and frequent there lots but decided to try out this place last night with about 16 of us and wow !!! The food was so much better , you could feel that the food was cooked without rushing thru the wok , the crabs we had were fantastic and many others ... the place was quiet and nice too ..
A Singaporean food restaurant located on the riverside of the Singapore River. The bread rolls here are a must! The Chili Crab also is a must! Tastes nice!
Wow the food was amazing! Crab was very fresh
Had the ala carte dim sum lunch buffet. Great variety, good food that was promptly served, warm and personable service from the staff. Thanks!
It's delicious.
Food is generally OK but IMO service is always lacking. Staff can be more attentive and service oriented.
Custard lobster is a must. Food taste and servings are good, but quite pricey.
Good food good place
Crabs are very big in size, deliciously cooked with different sauces.
Looking for crab dishes, this is the place,5 star food(in my opinion)friendly waiter
The price are reasonable and the service is good
Food and service really good !
But it is ridiculous that a restaurant located in the hottest area of Singapore shut down at 10 pm !!
Enjoyed the chilli crab with JTB Mybus meal plan.
Good restaurant for seafood. Price is reasonable
The food was good enough but not that affordable.
Fresh ans nice. Will recommend to my friends
Excellent good...kitchen closes strictly

[RED HOUSE SEAFOOD Robertson Quay]
Subway (MRT) North-East Line・
10 minutes walk from Clarke Quay station.
Singapore's famous dishes
A seafood restaurant where you can enjoy chili crab.
There are two shops that are famous for chili crab.
・RED HOUSE SEAFOOD
・JUMBO SEAFOOD
⚫︎Creal Prawn 👍
A dish of cereal and shrimp stir-fried in butter.
6 large shrimp.
The texture is more than plump.
This sweet and salty cereal is addictive.
It's quite delicious.
●Stir Fried Bloccolini With Fresh Mushroom
Stir-fried oyster with broccoli and mushrooms.
It's big and filling.
●Singapore Chilli Crab(1kg) 👍
1kg is just enough for two people.
The crab used for chili crab has a large shell, so if you want to enjoy crab meat, we recommend using at least 1kg of crab meat.
Small ones may be loose.
chili sauce with eggs
Chili crab is a giant crab stir-fried with its shell on.
The chili sauce has the sweetness of tomatoes and is not too spicy.
There's plenty of sauce
You can enjoy it by dipping steamed bread called mantou.
If you have plenty of stomach, you can order fried rice with bean paste.
Thank you for the meal.

The environment is very good, suitable for gatherings with friends and family. Most of the meals are very satisfying, and the variety of dishes is also very rich. The last dessert, taro and sago, is also very delicious. The average price per person on weekends and holidays is about 43, and the average number on weekdays is about 32. Table reservation service is provided. Will stay again.
I only reserved seats over the phone. I was nervous at first because you can only make reservations in simple English, but it turned out to be okay! Jumbo could be reserved online, but I couldn't make a reservation on the day, so I decided to try Red House!
I've eaten at Jumbo before, but I thought this one was more beautiful and all the rice was delicious!
And maybe the price is a little cheaper? The crab was plump and the water spinach was very delicious, and eating the fried rice with chili crab sauce was exquisite! I think it's easy to eat because it's a little less spicy! Some items were discounted depending on the day!
Beans served as appetizers are normal!
With 6 individual items and one drink, the total cost for a family of 4 was $290!
If you want to eat chili crab! It's a bit pricey, but everything you eat is delicious. I think it suits Japanese people. I liked it too.
I was looking forward to the chili crab, but it was too spicy. It's difficult to break it, so I think it's better to leave it to the store staff. I feel like if Japanese people cooked this crab, they could probably make something even more delicious. I also had lobster, but the most delicious thing was the giant sea bream.
Tea will be served as soon as you are seated.
It cost just under S$200 for two people, including 2 other chili crab items and about 3 drinks.
All dishes are delicious. Not too oily, just the right elegant taste. The chilli crab (about 80 S$) is expensive, but I think it's worth the experience. It was more painful than I expected.
As expected, even the S size has plenty of volume.
It was a great experience.
I want to go again someday.
Ordered black pepper brown crab M (1.2kg), beer, and 2 pieces of fried bread. It was really delicious. I'm full. This is a recommended shop.
It wasn't anything special. It's either incredibly delicious or not... I recommend purchasing a voucher from a Korean site and going there.
Restaurants called Jumbo and Yangdaesanmaek specialize in crab dishes... The interior is nice and the staff are friendly, but I didn't think the taste was particularly delicious.
The staff will serve you the food, but they are not as friendly as Japanese people! (lol)
The taste was delicious
This place had better black pepper. It was friendly, spacious, and clean.
Everything except the chili crab is really delicious. Chili crab is still a specialty store. It was 8000 yen at this club.
I had chili crab and shrimp and it was delicious.
Visited to try Singapore's famous chilli crab. I went without a reservation at around 7pm, but was guided to the restaurant after waiting for about 5 minutes.
The chili crab was of course delicious, but the other fried rice and fried squid that we ordered were also very delicious.
In addition to fried bread, I also ordered steamed bread, but the waiter's response was, "Why steamed bread? Fried bread is better." But the steamed bread was also delicious.
Chili crab tastes good. It costs S$88 per kg, but the wet tissues cost S$1 each, and the additional ice and tea cost more than S$5. Chinatown is cheap and tastes good.
The place I originally booked was closed, so I almost got sick of the heat while walking to this branch. But the food was so delicious that everything was forgiven ^^ We only ordered 4 sets in Korea and additionally ordered fried rice and stir-fried vegetables, but there was a lot of fried rice left over, so we took it out. (I don't really like the idea of packaging. It was the first unfriendly experience I experienced after coming to Singapore)
