Reviews of Rhubarb
The restaurant well deserves its 1 Michelin star !!! Everything was great, except for the surprised charge of SGD 13 for a sparkling water (while still water is free). It was a surprised because I did not think there would be that big of a difference and the server should have given me a warning… Anyway, the food was excellent. It was an omakase lunch so we did not know what we would have. Paul the chef was amazing and friendly. He even came out and greet us with the first petit bite ! We had a crab petit bite right after the 3 choices of bread. For appetizer,we had raw shrimp as the first course, truffle and mushroom as the second course. Quail was served as the main course and it was cooked to perfection ! The breast was well seasoned and cooked. It was tender, flavorful and a just a little smoky. Dessert was coconut sorbet with chocolate, caramel, almond and white chocolate mousse i believe. It was refreshing and milky ! Overall, very impressed with the menu, techniques and quality of food. The sparkling water part should not happen. Also, the restroom was a little too small. Hard to move around
Food was absolutely fantastic. I ordered 5 course meal, and every single dish was just great. I have nothing to complain about food, however I think their service can do better. We came only about 5min earlier to noon time which is the time I booked, their waiters and hall manager didnt bother saying anything. Then Chef himself passed on the way to pick up stuff and kindly said to wait. Not a big deal frankly, but first impression wasnt good. Later on during the course of meal, I see that guys didnt properly clean up the table, leaving bread scrum on the table, and didnt even take the skewer back as seen in the picture. Highly recommended place in general, but first visit wanst perfect to be honest.
Went there with Company for a closed event. Food is nice, so was the atmosphere.
Everything was incredible! Nett 209 for 2 pax, 4 course + amuse bouche and petit fours, complimentary bread too.
Their signature emulsion wasn’t my kind of thing though, and I think the portion for that could be halfed. Nevertheless it was unique and enjoyable
The lunch omakase is one of the more affordable sets compared to the rest of the michelin starred restaurants. Service was excellent and the head chef was very friendly and welcoming. The combination of flavors from the food, whilst good, unfortunately did not really appeal to mine and my partner’s tastebuds.
We had such a lovely lunch with Rhubarb. Chef Paul did not disappoint- beautifully plated courses with complex delicious flavours served with heart and sincerity! Thank you for taking time to engage and explain your dishes, Chef! Bravo! 👏
Deserved it’s one star Michelin food serving the contemporary French cuisine . Great dining experience with set menu of 2 or 3 appetiser. The main course we had are between lamb or tooth fish. Quite a large serving for the main course and it is just enough for most of Asian stomach. The tooth fish is exceptionally tasty with beetroot and passionfruit ! The fried barramundi fish cooked in the corn soup with the sea shell was really nice. Exception the lamb as it still has strong gamey odour which I don’t typically like it. The meat kind of hard to my liking and less flavour probably the loin part of the lamb being used which leaner meat. The wine selection mostly from France label and you can pick a good one. Choose the burgundy wine tonight and it was really good to pair with my food tonight. Friendly waiter to attend to you and the ambience is cosy!
Made a super last minute booking because I am so indecisive 😂 but chef Paul and team made it happen. Had the pleasure of dining in their private space upstairs which was more chill. I opted for the 3 courses; started out with the amuse bouche. Followed by the hamachi which was full of flavour. Then there was the duck for mains, wow perfectly cooked and the sauce was meant to be. For dessert, I chose the cheese (Roquefort, Brie and Comté). Best lunch in a while. I think I’ll be back for dinner soon! Service was also very warm! Thank you ⭐️🙌
Friday lunch.
Very good ambience, suitable for date and business lunch.
Ordered the full tasting menu that’s usually only available during dinner. It was great. Every dish was nice and memorable.
SGD 200++ per pax.
5 star Omakase lunch experience, including an amuse bouche, 2 starters, 1 main and 1 dessert, petit four charged separately. Dishes are delicately crafted, highly recommend!
Most dishes were good, the bread was fantastic. The emulsion dish was a little strong.
It's was so succulent that we're coming back a second time in less than one week . The food, the staff and the atmosphère are just perfect!. Congratulation!! We wish them the best for the future
My wife and I visited Rhubarb on Saturday, April 6th to celebrate my wife's birthday and our anniversary. The food was once again excellent, especially the dessert this time. Every dish that we have is excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant when you are in the mood for modern French/Continental. I've posted a picture of the Petit Fours and the dessert.
Recommend the Omakase lunch and it’s good value. May not like some of the dishes as the combination and flavours are not to my liking..
I loved all dishes in the dinner menu. Very interesting and not ordinary combinations of ingredients, amazing sauces. Really gastronomic orgasm.
just interior design could be better
The food is excellent-taste & presentation. The sauces with each dish served are wonderful to the palate.
Been here twice, Rhubarb is cosy, unpretentious and faultless. All that at a great price, probably the best actually, compared to many of the other starred restaurants in Singapore that I’ve been to. It’s just a welcoming and easy going place.
A definite highlight of my visit to Singapore. The desert was absolutely divine… I have not been able to stop thinking about it!
Food was average, expected better of a 1 Michelin star restaurant. Maybe we ordered for a vegetarian course & hence the different experience
All dishes were heavily loaded with mushrooms, the mix of flavours used in some dishes did not gel very well. E.g red wine mixed with truffle shavings in one of the dishes! Really appreciate the chef for his passion for food & effort put in, but vegetarian is surely a lot more than just mushrooms & boiled egg :)
My favourite French restaurant. Food is prepared with love and well presented by chef .
Pleasant experience with wonderful foods. Been there several times. Will return again.
A bit small and quite hot upstairs. But the food and service more than made up for it.
Nice food. Good service , cosy environment and reasonable price , will be back
This french restaurant with omakase dishes is a delightful surprise for food enthusiast seeking a fusion of flavours. The chef's creative and ever-changing menu showcases the best of french cuisine, expertly paired with unique ingredients. The dining experience is truly exceptional, leaving you craving for more. A culinary adventure worth embarking on.
Unique, innovative and one of the best restaurant in Singapore. Each experience more stellar than the previous.
Quiet, cosy with very attentive service. The chef himself (Paul?) came out of the kitchen several times to introduce his dishes. I had a very standard wagyu steak which I enjoyed very much. Prices are on the high side so this is a place for special occasions.
Had the 4 course omakase. Scallops were sweet and nicely done. White onion emulsion was really nice. Peas were sweet!
Chef Paul Longworth continues to create beautiful and delicious food, thankfully having weathered the pandemic. A must-visit culinary experience in Singapore!
Lovely dinner with a close friend / client.
Food was spot on. Delicate and refine.
Merci, Chef!
Chef did a great job, customized my dishes with lots of allergies!
Mind blowing steak. Crispy on the outside, soft and moist on the inside.Totally worthy of its Michelin star award.
Going for the omakase option will throw you very pleasant surprises in the capable hands of chef Paul
Elegant french cuisine. Love the Quail, v nively done. Good food and wine.👍
Wonderful dinner!
Great lunch set, priced well. Will be back.
Very good and cosy restaurant.
A French restaurant serving good food and good service.

Good food and service.
Excellent food
Thanks to our friends, we can always eat expensive food for free. I was really happy 😌! This time we had dinner together again, we were full❗️ We spent 4 hours eating, drinking, and chatting.
Very unique French cuisine
We chose Rhubarb restaurant based on the reviews on Tripadvisor and we are so glad we ate there. The food is great. We ordered the chef's special for lunch. Every dish was great. The appetizer we had when we came was foie gras, which was so delicious. It was the most five-star dish I've ever tried for lunch! This was followed by a soup with foam mixed with...
This restaurant is really a very good address. The dishes are copious, refined and very, very good, we are surprised from start to finish. I recommend with my eyes closed
The portions are small and the service is slow. I can't say I like it very much.
