Reviews of Springleaf Prata Place - Sunset Way
Same standard of Springleaf Prata outlets. Really enjoyable pratas, especially the sinful indulgence of Plaster Blaster (normal sauce).
Several selection of food / cafes / eateries in this area. Springleaf Prata provides the comfort food (and familiarity) we are used to.
There are available seats in the restaurants and food was served promptly.
Curry (fish / chicken as I remember) was self served and has a smooth consistency.
The hot teh halia I had was not as hot as I had liked. Nevertheless, I still had an enjoyable meal.
Would love to come often, but can't possibly have pratas as a staple diet.
We had the Goreng Set (Mee Goreng Set + Sunny Side Up - $10.20)
Comes with 1 choice of Goreng, 1 Large Hot Teh Tarik and 1 Mini Masala or Curry Chicken
- Maggi Goreng,
- Mee Goreng,
- Kuey Teow Goreng,
- Mee Hoon Goreng,
- Nasi Goreng
We had Mee Goreng and topped up another $1 for a sunny-side-up egg.
The curry chicken spice level was acceptable and we were served with a large chunk of chicken meat.
While a good cup of Teh Tarik is made up of the right ratio of tea-to milk, I would say that they have it in the right proportion, striking a perfect balance between the robustness of the tea and the creaminess of the milk.
Checking out their Ultimate Series in their Menu, we had the Mini Ultimate Murtabak for 1 pax. It was loaded with chunk tandoori chicken, portobello mushrooms and mozzarella cheese. What's more, with the free-flow self-service curry station, we can help ourselves with fish or chicken curry, which makes the entire session merrier.
Mini Ultimate Murtabak (For 1 Pax) - $10
This is my first time having Barley in combination of lime and I find it quite special. We enjoyed the pearl barleys as well as the refreshing taste from the lime.
While Springleaf Prata Place offers an extensive menu, especially with some specialty and Ultimate Series which are unique to me, it is definite that we will be back for more.
Tried the lamb shank briyani and it was alright. Used to visit frequently for their prata as well.
First time eating at Springleaf Prata again after many years and was very pleased with the food. Prices are affordable and staff were friendly. Due to COVID, there’s a staff assigned to hand our free flow curry to customers instead of taking it ourselves.
This place gets crowded and I’ve seen queues forming outside during peak hours so plan your visit accordingly.
Springleaf is a familiar name in the local prata scene, well known for its annual fusion creation - their Ultimate series.
Tried the Murtaburger with double patty and Däs Prätwürst. The Murtaburger is like a big, fat, cheesy quesadilla. Quite good even without the curry.
The Däs Prätwürst had a regular sized chicken sausage. I was expecting a bigger German styled sausage.
There is a free flow of chicken & fish curry (self service).
Reasonable price with good service.
Gets really crowded during lunch time.
Tried several dishes, plain Prata was the way to go. Egg Prata was a little upsetting, it lacks eggy fragrance.
If u have high sodium intake definitely go for Nasi Goreng Ayam.
Mutton curry was decent, wished they did not mix a few veiny ones. Good consistency of gravy, unlike many others which were runny.
They provide free flow curry both veg/chicken and fish. Don't expect too much, watered-down to serve more customers.
Good place to hang out with friends.
Washroom was clean and simple.
Mee goreng portion is slightly more now and tastier than before..back then the portion was pathetic so much so it took me that long to visit again..I mean, I don't care about how much it cost for a meal, but it has to be a decent meal that'll fill your stomach..I'm not even talking about huge amount. Anyway, this time round, good meal 👍
Second time here but it's been a few years since my last visit. Ordered: coin prata, mutton murtabak, and the combo (mushroom, egg, tomato). Also tried a bit of the praclette from the ultimate series.
Order and pay at the counter, and they'll bring the food out to your table (quote table number when ordering). There's self-service free flow curries (chicken, fish).
The coin prata was to please the son, and I found the fillings in the combo made the overall dish a bit too wet. Preferred the murtabak overall this time, but would be keen to return and order either plain(er) pratas or try more from the ultimate series creations.
Venue wise definitely appreciate the air conditioned dining area.
Nice prata and curry, which never disappoint. 😋 Friendly staff and fast serving. Nice Halia drinks.

Mozzarella cheese prata is the best.
Prata plain is also crispy.
Teh Tarik super sweet
SUPER GENEROUS with the mozzarella in the ultimate murtabak which was really bombzzzzzz
Service staff were friendly and helpful, food was served up rather quickly, and prata is fresh! Love it will always come back!
Enjoyed some wonderful prata at Springleaf Prata Place over at Sunset Way courtesy of Lazada.
Armed with 2 vouchers, 1 for 2xPlain Prata and 1 for 1xPlain Prata+1xEgg Prata bought on 2 different days of Flash Sale previously, dinner was settled. After one puts in the order at the cashier, one waits to be served at the table with the Prata. One then heads over to the curry station to be served the type of curry dipping sauce desired as well as the utensils.
The prata here is crispy and pairs really well with their fish or chicken curry. For those who prefer fluffy prata, Springleaf is not the place for you.
General Verdict: Prata place serving crispy prata in an air conditioned comfort

2)
Item: 2 x Plain Prata

Description: Crispy prata that would pair better with Dhal Char
Verdict: Good, Can Order
Price: SG$2.40 (Free if caught on Lazada Flash Sale of SG$1 and then paid with the SG$1 Lazada Voucher)
Nice location, conveniently next to carpark, easy to access. Their prata are done just nicely, and free flow curry is a nice touch. Service is good. Love coming here for supper. If only they open till early morning.
Had the Portabello and Mozzarella cheese prata with the butter chicken. To be frank, I like the butter chicken at Al Azar better, but here you get the drum. The prata was great though, crispy outside and filled with cheese inside (and some mushrooms.
Teh tarik was regular, good enough that I ordered a second cup. Price wise, it's a little higher, but you get air-conditioning and decent seats, along with a free flow of curry (self served). Oh don't get their seasonal vegetables. 3 bucks for a tiny scoop of vegetables.
Very good fish curry and delicious light prata with many combination choices. Don't forget the teh tarik.
Recently tried their Plaster Blaster (their take on eggs benedict), not entirely worth it. So take caution when trying their new innovative inventions.
Damn the Ultimate Murtabak is good!!
Been here twice now but that number is going to rise quickly. Pictured below are the ultimate murtabak and cheese, onion and egg prata.
The Ultimate costs SGD 12.90 for the big, two person serving and SGD 8 for the smaller, one person size. Bits of chicken tandoori, mozzarella, egg, onion and mushroom was wrapped inside and it really delivers.
Normal pratas are good on their own but I strongly recommend others esp cheese lovers to add on mozzarella cheese as they aren’t stingy with it.
One of the most underrated thing here is the fish curry which is free flowing. Thick, fragrant and tomato-ey with just a tiny bit of spice so it’s child friendly. My sister drinks up to 6-8 saucers each time and is pretty much addicted to it hahaha 😅😅
We had the plaster and egg prats here on the recommendation of a friend. Its sooo good. The plaster prata is fried to a crisp and the egg is runny. Free flow curry too.
If you crave for some prata in the west side, come to this popular indian restaurant. Freshly made onion prata & bee hoon goreng.
Mutton Briyani is nice, mutton is soft and tender, seemingly able to melt in the mouth. The rice is thin and grainy, very appetizing with the achar and mutton.
Ultimate murtarbak for 2 is awesome, the prata is packed with cheese and tandoori. Trust me, it's really meant for 2 pax, if you're thinking of gobbling one on your own.
Masala thosai is mediocre. I have eaten quite a lot which is much better. Not much justice to take away one star over this thosai. Oh well, it's the only rating below perfect.
4.5 stars and will be happy to be back for their creative creations.
Order prata set include 1 egg 1 kosong, drink (milk tea), and a curry chicken. The prata are crispy come with chicken and fish curry sauce.
Overall, the food is yummy only. Will sure come back and try out other food in the menu.
Decent crispy pratas made fresh always.
Kway teow and mee goreng were lighter in flavour but I prefer this way.
Closes late as well so that’s good for a supper location !
Had a plain prata - quite meh and masala thosai - quite blah. The fish curry and chicken curry are lack lustre too. Edible but not nice, really nothing to praise on but nothing so bad to pick on too.
It is not as good as Railway mall branch, food is not as crispy and it is oilier. Service is slow and ask for extra plate and never come
We were so pleased that we found this place! The prata is the best I've ever had, it's CRISPY. I couldn't get over how great the texture was. We enjoyed getting to ladle our own curry into our little bowls, chicken curry or fish curry, both were amazingly flavorful. The employees were super helpful. Good air conditioning, pleasant atmosphere, outdoor seating as well. We are full and happy!
Good prata place, except the inconsistency of making a good plaster prata... Sometimes a good plaster, some times bad.
Hot Teh Halia came lukewarm. The gorengs are tasteless.Mutton murtabak is good.
Had umami-50. Unique flavor. But the free-flow curry was too diluted. Like soup.
Chicken Masala Briyani ($7.5)
chicken is super tender and keropok is crispy as well. Briyani rice is well cooked too.
I wanted to get a Bru Tarik after work. But my Mother also wanted Briyani Mutton, and I'm also a reguler at this branch. Today's experience was abit unpleasent. They always know I want a Large Bru Tarik and this guy and the Counter specifilly know me and always knows what I want. I went to buy but the staff already knew me and got me my Bru Tarik earlier than the rest. But I haven't paid yet so I went to buy the Briyani and Tarik. Since they knew I wanted Large it cost more than the average. I didn't say "Large* Bru Tarik so he only charged me the regular which is 1.90. But since they knew me and always know I buy a Large I didn't think they would charge me the average. They guy found out and scolded me on the spot next to my mother. I really hope the Management investigate this matter
Our go to place for supper or whenever we are craving for Prata. Prata and service is great. I would prefer to sit indoors as there were many cockroaches crawling out of the wooden flooring planks at the outdoor area when we were there few months back.
Amazing butter chicken, delicious paratha with fish and chicken curry sauces, and super friendly. 100% recommend.
very good food! value for money. briyani portions were huge.
I’ve always been a fan of springleaf prata. Food quality is consistent and has a good range of options for repeat visits. What’s most commendable is the service - the manager is calm and collected and able to reasonably handle customers and delivery riders, especially during busy timings. It is certainly not easy and I appreciate the pleasant experiences whenever I dine in or take out.
My favourite place to get my onion prata fix 😋.
Good friendly service from the staffs. Nice quiet place to have a meal with friends and chats.👍
Tried the usual plain and egg prata which were nicely done and crispy. The 2 pratas and a teh tarik for $5 seemed kind of high though. They have a wide choice of food items in their menu. The self service for fish or chicken curry was generous though I really have some doubt over the hygiene of exposing a huge container of curries accessible to all customers. For the slightly higher price in an aircon restaurant, this was still a worthwhile dining experience.
June 2021 update: The fish head curry is a heavy tomato laden curry with tough fish meat (not fresh?). It flavour may be excellent as a sauce for pratas but not a good fish curry dish. I prefer the ones from the chinese zichar at the next door food court.
Had lunch there. Place is air conditioned and quite clean. Had prata, mutabak, and thosia. Thosia will be great if there's more potato filling. Prata is nice and crispy, mutabak filling is quite finely chopped, find it abit dry though. Curry gravy is self service and kept heated, not the best gravy I have had but overall still not bad.
used to be our favourite place in the vicinity for prata as they pride themselves for doing the basic kosong very well - crispy and fluffy. last year or so has been churning out prata well below standards - soggy and hard. was hoping with feedback over a few times, something might change back to what it was. unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be changing...
Loved the prata and the curry fish head. It was the slightly sour kind that really whets your appetite! Mutton curry was not gamey at all and pratas were really well done. Drinks were made in house and my family really liked the barley limau. Waiters were friendly too! Will visit again.
Food is nice if you love cheese. Waiting time not as long as the one compared to the one at Railway Mall.
I will rate it one of the best prata i have eaten. It is crispy and price reasonable. Note: I came in on a Monday morning when not so crowded.
The quality of the food here has deteriorated a little this year, such as less ingredients inside my favorite ultimate murtabak, which used to be stuffed with chicken, mushrooms and onions. However, the food still tastes amazing nonetheless. Definitely best murtabak in SG!
The food and ambience is great. Varieties of pratas with a combination of chicken or fish curry. If pratas alone can't satisfy, a coin prata set is not bad too! Short waiting time for food to be served during non peak hours and spacious too. There are both indoor and outdoor seats available.
Best place for my comfort food. Just loved their crispy Roti Prata kosong and Teh Halia.
Solid prata shop with friendly and quick service. Located close to the park connector, so a good spot to stop if you're on a bike ride, walk, or run. The staff was kind enough to fill my water bottle up after our meal.
Nice to have discovered sunsetway. Had the butter chicken and it was good.
Wait long to get food prepared
Love the prata, thosai and curry
Good choice for family outings and celebrations. Value for money dishes and drinks
Prata place in sunset way
Plaster blaster
La Ayam Parrota
Best prata in Singapore. Very nice and crispy. The spread is also huge. Friendly staff, always smiling and accommodating to the customers needs.
The Murtaburger is great. But I rather have they use tomato ketchup or dice tomato & BBQ sauce in the filling than chilli sauce & BBQ sauce combo. It will be awesome, but for now, it's just great from me.
Prata Alfredo
Plaster Blaster
Lamb Shank Briyani
Check your orders, sometimes they mix up the drinks. We were cool but in case you're particular about your drinks.
Spartan dining hall suitable for groups and families. Reasonable prices. Free-flow of self serviced curry is appealing.
Can be quite noisy when moderately occupied because of the glass shop front. Otherwise their food is reasonably good.
Very delicious curry, price slightly expensive but worth to buy. Big portion. Prata coins also 👍
Good prata with free flow fish and chicken curry. 2 plain prata and 1 teh tarik. $3.70. Value for money.
pratas are freshly made. nice but more expensive than usual shops. mutton briyani is nice
Had the mutabak there and love it. Service is great and they are generous with the curry. Will be back to try their other items.
This restaurant is very good food for all
Price also reasonable and food very good service also good and all staff supporting .
Pratas are nice and crispy, teh tarik is not great. Should do something about the ridiculous service process.
Nice crisp prata, and a variety of innovative dishes. I like the way you serve yourself the curry sauce.
One of the best prate shop in Singapore with a distinct crispy style. Coin parts is the best
Lot of choices , the food was tasty , free flowing curry .The cheese in thosai dint work though ...
Smaller share compared to the rail mall outlet. Less organized but overall still the prata place to go for
Excellent food and service, though place could do with a little bit of tidying up..
Fast and tasty
Beautiful 😍
Very good mozzarella cheese prata
Nice crispy roti prata
Nice food. Silver crispy.
