Decided to sacrifice hawker food for Swenson as the weather is super hot. Had a great meal. Ordered the Caesar salad with deep fried fish bites, Spaghetti and chicken thigh in herb sauce. Meal $59. Food tasted ok but not fantastic. Service was fast and smooth.

Staff didn't bother to check food ordered by which table. Just placed infront of us. But actually next table ordered. Manager also same. Ask for ice cream to be served. She acknowledged and then forgotten about it. Have to ask again then she get for us.

Food is great as usual. I got the grilled dory with sambal sauce and 2 sides..Sambal taste great and spicy. Mac and cheese as a side was tasteless. Would not recommend that. Salted gula melaka icecream is a bomb! Its a small outlet and can get noisy during peak hours.

After more than a year, Swensens came up with a short-term promotion for mala pasta. Only came here to test it out and was quite disappointed with the lack of flavour other than the mala taste. The spaghetti was bland and chicken pieces were too few. Definitely not value for money. Service is still okay and not really lacking of attention. Surroundings are fine for small groups to chat without being too loud. See my tips below for vegetarians and vegans. If you really need something more tasty, go for their baked rice dishes. Quite staple and more flavourful than the mala pasta.

Big thanks to Cathy, Sherman and Sui Sing for the wonderful experience. Service provided by them was very good and food was warm and delicious. Cathy and team really outshines and changed our impression about Swensens as we previously had a not so pleasant experience (when served by other staff) in this outlet. The extra star is for them.

Food looks rather unappetising - pic shows what arrived + I ate 2 macaroni. The fish was untouched - came looking like that. Grilled fish I think. The sauce a bit weird. One side very salty! Thankfully I could just cut away the skin. Macaroni cheese tastes very weird…maybe the cheese is not good quality. The broccoli had no seasoning. Quite nice to my kids but generally the staff look tired and grumpy. Kids’ pasta tastes not bad though the kids corn is not nice.

I haven’t been visiting Sweden for a long time. Today went to J8 and was not crowded so decided to have lunch . My steak came tough even the chef did cook as what I requested but I guess the quality of the meat is not good.The staff server are friendly and loud that you won’t feel you are having lunch in a restaurant.when I make my payment at the cashier I told the manager about the quality of the meat and maybe they should change another supplier she just kept quiet without acknowledging what I’m trying to tell her. It’s a feedback why she don’t replied at all . Anyway will not even come anymore.

Fish and chips set was good. The kids set my gal ordered was okay.. Overall it was a busy time, on a Friday lunch hour of September school holidays. We waited at the entrance queuing (no queue yet) around 1140hrs and we stood for a while and no one attended to us. So my gal and I walked in. The waitress who ushered us in didn't smile or make eye contact. She walked past us to take a set of menu and then turned back and blurted out "welcome to swensens" without even looking at us. A young waitress helped us with BB ordering and she was quite helpful. But it seems that she is rather new, so she wasn't skilled in managing patrons. There was a young waiter whom I saw him walking around with a tray of food but seems that he could not decide which table to put the food. Overall service was a bit slow, not much attentiveness of the waitering staff. Food was ok. Cashing out was ok. I thought they seem short-handed. Or maybe it was jus because it's a school-holiday weekday.

Five star review for the proactiveness from Gary. As we frequent the outlet, he remembers our preferences well. He takes the initiative to bring out the cheese and chili flakes without any prompts when he noticed that we were having pasta dishes. He also served our dessert without us having to call for it as he observed that we had finished our mains. We enjoy dining at j8 whenever we see him around :)

Very crowded, popular place among locals for no-frills, simple western fare. Swensen's has been actively revamping their menu over the years while retaining their good ol' classics such as chicken baked rice and sticky chewy chocolate sundae. Food was served pretty fast, but service could really do with some brushing up. Greetings, smiles and professionalism while taking orders... These are all aspects that they can work on. Apart from that, food is good and I will always choose to visit swensen's.

This is swensen at junction 8 shopping centre in Bishan. As usual Saturday always long queue. Me and my friend decided not to eat there. If you are at junction 8, swensen is located at the ground floor. You can go either by train, public bus or cab or private hire car. If you taking mrt, take the red line mrt. If by bus u may take bus number 50, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58,59 and 88.

Service was good and the staffs are very prompt. 3 to 4 staffs serving our table. I went at off peak hours 3pm. Food was served hot and fast too. Had curry baked rice, mac and cheese and ice creams. Tasty like before. Portion are just nice. Not small. No complains. 😊 for an easy weekday lunch at swensens.

Ice cream is good, as usual. However, the waiter was quite rude. When we first arrived, it didn't looked like there was a queue so we scanned-in n asked for a table for 3. The waiter looked up (from his reservation list) n brusquely asked " did u call you?". They need to be watch their attitude; jobs are scarce nowadays.

Ordered Earthquake Ice cream for Self collection via Grab app. Suppose to collect in an hour time, but i was in a rush so I tried my luck if i could get it earlier instead. The Manager inform the staff to take note that I have arrived earlier than expected. It was fullhouse and they were busy. So I loitered around to wait. Suprisingly I got my item in 15mins ! Even walk up to me over at the shop next door to hand deliver. I would like to say hank you very much appreciate it alot.

Visited on 17 October, 2pm at bishan Swensen , which is my dad birthday. Manager Richard & Team provide a present service to us and food is nice ! Salmon Mushroom pasta very flavourful ! I would also like to praise one of the service staff Aunty Irene, she been very proactive and keep on puting a warm and big smile to all the customer !!!

Straight forward western meals, quick table table. The menu is huge and their fries and dip have been a winner for years. They still carry their signature earthquake icecream sundae, 8 icecream flavours with 8 toppings. Great for an ice cream indulgence with friends.

Expect crowd n wait for table during busy hrs. Also wait for food can take a while. Ice cream selection wide but does not seem to have any with alcohol like rum n raisins, pity.
