📍60 Punggol East, #02-01 , Singapore 828825
🚇Riviera LRT
Enjoyed an authentic spread of mouth watering dishes at Japanese Izakaya bar @tendbistro_izakaya on 2nd floor of Punggol Public Golf Range which is conveniently located near Riviera LRT recently.
Signature Yakitori with their inhouse “tare” teriyaki sauce and charcoal grilled over Japanese binchotan starts from reasonable price of only $2.30 per stick. Variety of delectable dishes such as soba udon, donburi, agemono, Murotsu oyster, etc are also available here. Glad to see Kirin Ichiban premium malt beer, fine selection of sake, Japanese whisky or Guinness Draught on the tap are available for a complete dining experience!
🍢𝑲𝒖𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒚𝒂𝒌𝒊 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓 $15.50: 5 assorted perfectly grilled sticks - grilled prawn, tsukune, buta bara, enoki maki, and yakitori of goodness. Loved that they came with the right amount of char and smokiness. The meat were tender & juicy too. 👍
🐙𝑰𝒌𝒂 𝒀𝒂𝒌𝒊 $18: Grilled whole squid in teriyaki sauce was the perfect dish for sharing. Soft, chewy and packed with flavours.
🍱𝑼𝒏𝒂𝒈𝒊 𝒅𝒐𝒏 $21: Substantial portion of perfectly executed and marinated unagi fully absorbed with their “tare” teriyaki sauce. Unagi fans must try this!
🐥𝑻𝒐𝒓𝒊 𝑲𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒂𝒈𝒆 $8: Deepfried to golden brown in a light batter with good crisp outside while locking the juiciness of the meat inside. Not oily and definitely one of the best I have tried so far!
🐣𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒎𝒖𝒔𝒉𝒊 $6: Enjoyable egg custard which was so smooth that the spoon just glided through effortlessly. Packed with flavours!
🍻𝑲𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒏 𝑰𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒃𝒂𝒏 $11
🥤𝑼𝒎𝒆 𝑭𝒂𝒗𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝑺𝒐𝒅𝒂 $2.80
Prices before service charge. NO GST.
Impressed with this new dining experience overlooking Punggol Public Golf Range which I can see golfers in action! I will be back to try other dishes.
A little on the pricier side, however I would say the quality of food served was worth it. We had the Smoked Duck Goma Soba, the nutty taste wasn’t too overpowering and balanced well with the soba, the duck was flavourful and tender. We also ordered a Teriyaki Chicken Don, this however was not very “special”, it tasted like the average ones you can get at any Japanese stall. Lastly we ordered a pork platter (Can’t remember the name unfortunately), the meat was delicious, with a variety of different sticks, this platter was the highlight of the meal. I would come down again just for the soba and a pint of beer on a hot day!
Nice place to get a drink and some yakitori. The charcoal grilled yakitori definitely has more flavour to it. The Kawaebi Karaage (fried shrimp) is probably the most interesting and addictive item. The squid was well cleaned and cooked just right so it's tender and not rubbery. The yakitory sticks were large so we had more than enough to eat. My son had a teriyaki don which was properly grilled instead of fried like how most places do it. The staff was also very attentive, constantly removing our used skewers. Price is very reasonable too. Only thing is the yakitori can use a touch more salt or sauce. Will definitely be back again.
Ok place, right by golfers. Fried and grilled chicken stuff is above average. Whatever you do, DO NOT order the ribeye yakitori, superbly horrible. Full of fibre, non chewable, only consumable if you are able to swallow it whole.
U'll love the atmosphere in here. Very refreshing cos youll be seeinhg golfers. The food is specially good. Just coz it's an izakaya doesnt mean they only serve beer/liquor. They have all kinds of japanese food. Rice bowl, noodles and skewers. Im specially inloved with the skewers though. Perfect fit for the drinks
Beer and location is great but food definitely needs improvement. The garlic fried rice was complete mush
Enjoyed the food here. Duck noodles were really flavourful
Food is not bad, my kids like it. We will come again.
Nice ambience, right at the golf course. Food is just average.
Nice place for family dinner or friends gathering. Food quite good as well.
Give it a go! The chicken Don is nicely done.
Food was good and authentic ...but had 2 extreme sides of service ... Friendly and warmth by one server .. while another server was crude and bordering on rude ... Must have had a bad day for him ... If you ignore his attitude the place is a great place for drinks and a bite.
Nice place to chill and play golf. Friendly staffs and comfort food.
Oysters very fresh. Authentic Japanese food
Excellent. Highly recommend
Service could be better.
Although the restaurant specializes in yakitori, it also has a wide range of dishes from appetizers to rice dishes.
The yakitori is cooked by the owner, who trained at a certain famous restaurant, so it's guaranteed to be delicious.
The newly renovated store space next to the golf driving range has a great view and is breezy, making it ideal for dates, families, and business trips.
The owner is actually a former golf pro who has toured all over the world, so he is happy to discuss golf and give advice.
I've been in Singapore for many years, but I've never come across such a perfect environment for playing golf.
It's truly heaven!
