Reviews of The Hainan Story Chapter One
So good! Had coffee, breakfast, and brunch from here every day during my stay in Singapore. The customer service is peak and the food is delicious. Every time is super tasty and high quality!
If you're visiting Singapore. Give this spot a try!
After our night out at the Singapore Night Festival, Donkey and I, along with our NE buddies decided to grab supper at The Hainan Story Chapter One. This was our third time visiting—once before the pandemic, once after, and now this most recent visit. Unfortunately, this time around, we were a little disappointed.
The service was much slower than our previous visits, and the staff seemed less friendly and welcoming. We even had a bit of a mishap with a coffee spill, a far cry from the pleasant and attentive service we remembered.
The food also seemed to have taken a slight dip in quality. The egg in our meal was served cold, not even lukewarm, and the bread didn't have the same deliciousness we remembered. We've always enjoyed their coffee and bread set, so it was disappointing to see a drop in quality.
We understand that as a business grows, maintaining the same level of quality across all locations can be challenging. However, we hope that The Hainan Story Chapter One will find ways to address these issues and return to the high standards they've set in the past. We're giving them 4 stars, acknowledging room for improvement, but we're hoping for a better experience next time.
Kitty and I, along with a group of friends, decided to try The Hainan Story Chapter One for supper after our night out at the Singapore Night Festival. This was our third visit – once before COVID, once after COVID, and now this most recent time. Sadly, I have to say that this visit was a bit of a letdown.
The service was noticeably slower than our previous visits, and the staff seemed less friendly and warm. We even experienced a coffee spill. This was a far cry from the pleasant and attentive service we remembered from before.
The food also felt like it had taken a step down. The egg in our meal was served cold, not even lukewarm, and the bread didn't have the same deliciousness it used to. We've always enjoyed their coffee and bread set, so it was a real disappointment to see the quality slip.
We understand that as a business expands, it can be difficult to maintain the same level of quality across all locations. However, we hope that The Hainan Story Chapter One will find ways to address these issues and get back to the high standards they set in the past. We're giving them 4 stars for the room for improvement, but we're hoping for a better experience next time.
Always come here to satisfy my breakfast cravings. Their kopi/teh are good. Soft boiled eggs are huge and toast kaya bread are delicious.
The food was amazing however the service provided by FOO is superb. He is genuinely assisting the customer request with best hospitality. Thank you FOO, definitely will come back here again, keep up the great work.
The service crew are very friendly and helpful especially the manager Wai Chong very kind enough to arrange seats for almost 20 of us. Food is nice and some quite special.
🌿🍚 The Hainan Story Chapter One
500, Jalan Sultan, #01-09, Hotel Boss,
Singapore 199020
🩷 The Chinese opera wayang mosaic mural is really gorgeous. 🟠 Photos will show you all the details.
🟦 The wait staff by the name of Mavis, is really a kind and polite girl who was very friendly and attentive to our needs. ☘️ We had delicious chicken rice and Teh and bought Coffee cookies too.
🩷 All in all, I love the food and ambience. ✅️ 5 stars for everything.
🟦1st June 2024 Sat ( 2.45 pm)
3 adults we ordered 3 mains and satay to share. The portions are huge and generous. Taste are
Amazing! I love the laksa with the crispy pig skin! Will definitely come again! My friend told me the Jewel outlets have different choice of dishes, would like to try it one day!
This restaurant is my all time favourite to meet friends and family for a lunch / dinner.
Highly recommend chicken rice, satay, curry rice, stingray, Lo Mee, cutlet chicken, fried chicken & etc
I love their swiss rolls too, must try the pandan, not too sweet, it's perfect!
I love trio - teh, kopi & milo mixed tgt.
Here during a weekday lunch.
Come early as it is packed throughout lunch.
Place is nice and sits maybe around 30 people.
I had a coffee $2.50 and it was a good big cup for this price. Tastes traditional and good.
Also had the satay $19 for 10 sticks and my food order was the Hainanese curry chicken drumstick $9.80.
I have to say this outlets food is very well portioned, big and satisfying. Taste wise is on point as well. Absolutely enjoyed the chicken curry rice, loved the achar and Chili. Good stuff.
The satay was also delicious. Pretty impressed.
Would return to this outlet.
Visited the place twice for late night supper and the experience was above what I expected.
Ambience: Wonderfully decorated, really clean & dining space was comfy.
Service: Waiters were positive & helpful. Food arrived really quick
Food: All the dishes I tried so far was excellent. The toast was fluffy with kaya that tasted amazing & iced yuan yang was refreshing. Pumpkin porridge is really unique, piping hot with lots of ingredients. The curry rice was really tasty with a delicious chili spice. Would love to try their satay the next time I visit again which comes with a peanut-pineapple sauce which looks heavenly.
Price: Great value for what you get
Hope to visit again next time! Avoid peak hours as there is always quite a queue (my two supper visit required a ~15mins wait which was bearable)
Everything is okay 👍🏼
Milk tea is abit over sweet for me
Great ambience but prices are quite steep considering the food quality which is mediocre for the dishes we tried. Ordered the curry rice, braised duck set and satays!
Kou rou curry rice - Tasty curry rice but meat was a little tough on some parts.
White braised duck set - White soup base for the kway chup which is flavourful yet light. Duck is tender and yummy.
Yuan yang mixed satays - Flavourful marinade on the outside but meats were bland on the inside. They were quite dry too. Comes with interesting pineapple sauce that paired well with the meats. Price is very steep for a set of 10 sticks, going at $19+.
Overall, I didn't find the food impressive and rather sub-par and expensive. I will, however come again another time to try other dishes like the laksa and porridge, given the good food variety there.
Love the foods options. Everything we tried was pretty delicious, sadly we only get to try their morning menus only. However, it took too long for the toast to come.
Friendly staffs. Clean and spacious environments.
Extra discounts for Hotel Boss customers.
Lovely little cafe to have a meal. It reminds me of those days of my childhood, except they modernise it - come on, plastic on fake newspaper is not going to bluff anyone. The food is excellent, thou, though I had the curry chicken set, and it was fantastic. The fried shrimps are nicely done. I was amazed that they had the old-fashioned bun with kaya and butter. I am disappointed by the cup of Milo - not thick enough.
The Servers are very friendly and helpful. I love this resto, located in The Boss Hotel area, Hainan Story Chapter One provides so many Singapore traditional and casual food, such as Hainan Chicken Rice, Laksa, Chicken Wings, Coffeee & Kaya Toast, etc. Good price and good portions also, I really recommended this resto while you are in Singapore.
Food is great here! Recommended to try!
Gula Melaka spread is perfect for people with sweet tooth, Braised Pork was really tender and the chunk of fat literally melts in your mouth. The curry rice tasted pretty much like a comforting dish. 😋👍🏼
Overall food are ok only, not worth the price paid, can easily get the curry rice outside cheaper and taste better but u pay for the ambient here.
Hainanese pork chop - can eat but not good
Curry chic rice - nice, can opt for sunny side up or long bean egg, but I never see tempeh as written on menu 🤔
Braised pork rice - nice, meat can be much tender
Trio egg pork ball porridge - 👎, meatball have pork smell, Porridge was not hot enough and really doesn't taste really good.
Heard quite a bit about the place. Decided to go for dinner 18Feb. We were early and could get a table easily.
Menu was old school papers like and variety of food choices was massive.
Food ordering was done via QR code and payment could be a choice for online payment or at the counter.
Coffee was amazingly fragrant and up to standard. I am a regular Kosong Gao drinker and this is very good.
When our food came, the portions told us we over ordered.
The white kway chap was unique. But (sorry owners) nothing to boast about, maybe we chose the duck set when it could have been better with the pork belly or not intestines? 🤗🤗
Lamb stew crispy noodle was good. Soft mutton on crispy 生面 👍🏻.
Curry rice with dory fish 👍🏻👍🏻.
Thinking the plain pumpkin porridge was of a small portion, a monster came. The porridge was really good but just too much.
We thought based on the price comparison of the porridges, the plain version should have been much smaller🤣.
Satay with 元阳sauce 😇😇😍.
Prawn fritters was like bigger than golf balls filled with lean mince meat and prawns. Amazing. 💪🏻💪🏻👍🏻
As mentioned, when the dishes came, the portions were overwhelming. We paid for a take away box and took food home.
We saw other diners also over ordering. And many tables with heaps of left overs. 😓🤣.
While it’s not inside a normal scope of the service team, It would have been a really encouraging if they could help observe the orders vs table size and propose / suggest to the diners or warn them about the portions so as to get the right amount of food with minimal waste.
Overall, very encourage to revisit with a better mindset of portions and etc.
Thanks Hainan Story Chap One.
Add on 21Feb Great Pork Chop!!
Overall an excellent restaurant for local comfort food ; great and polite service also by staff such as Woi Chong, thank you!
Saw review of this place and went to try on Saturday evening. We ordered the Hainanese Curry rice, pork chop and the bread. The curry rice is big portion. Pork chop is OK just that the chop a bit hard. Coffee is good as we put butter in it. Will try the satay and pumpkin porridge next round.
The best Coffee I ever had.
The nasi lemak portion is very generous with lotsa curry gravy and sambal chili.
The laksa gravy can be thicker.
The fried prawn is crispy and flavourful.
Their Satay are tender and nice when dipped with their pineapple and peanut sauce.
Not my first time there and will never be the last too.
First of all, the place is is considered quite spacious and quite pretty with its design and decoration. One thing is I'm not sure whether the ceiling fans are working or not or it's just decoration?
We came during lunch hour and the whole place is quite hot till we wore perspiring. The fans are not on, and the air con is weak.
Food wise not bad, food in big portion and it's really taste not bad. Tried the pork meatball and squid pumpkin, laksa gravy is pretty rich and savoury. The honey & butter toast not bad too.
Wanted to order the coconut bear dessert and a few more items. But they were being sold out.
Nice Decor Ambience like old-type Chinatown shop.
Menu items consists of Old-Time Favourites like Toasted Roti with Coffee, Congee, Laksa, Chicken Rice, Satay, Pork Chop ... etc
Staffs are Friendly and Helpful too.
A Very Pleasant Experience ...
Updated on 22 Jan 2022:
Here to try their high tea set & pleasantly surprised by their french toast & kopi.
Portion is good for two & worth the price paid.
—————————————————————
I’m very impressed by the very thoughtful delivery packaging, the best I seen so far. All the fried food & noodles are packed separately to maintain the crisp/al dente. Sauce containers were all shrink wrapped with minimum 2 layers.
Satays came wrapped in aluminum foil and placed in a plastic bag. Satays were piping hot when it arrived. Peanut sauce is not overly sweet & nuts are finely grated. Meat were succulent, it’s so soft that I almost can’t tell pork & chicken apart if not for the small piece of pork fat.
Laksa is surprisingly good, not too coconuty. I wish it’s more spicy despite mixing in the chilli paste.
The curry sauce for the curry rice is fragrant, really goes well with the rice. I will have this the next round.
Pandan coconut roll texture is soft and cottony with very coconuty gooey filling
Overall, the portions are so generous. Definitely deserves 5 stars!
Lucky to have this restaurant near my hotel. This was my first agenda as soon as i checked in. Staff are accommodating, place is vibrant, food is delicious, it looks the same on the menu. The insignificant basic lemonade tastes great. Defintely will come back.
24 hours Hainanese cafe which sell various local food. I would recommend Laksa, pork chop and porridge. Kway Zhap and Hainanese Chicken Rice also not bad. Traditional Kaya Butter Toast with a cup of kopi C with butter is a good choice of breakfast / tea break. The restaurant is spacious, can cater big group.
The laksa was of a generous portion! Chicken meat was fresh and chunky and the crispy pork skin was soooooo gooooood! To my surprise, the other laksa photos by other reviewers didn't quite look the same as mine. I wonder if I was pure lucky that day.
You tiao wasn't the kind that I like. I prefer the fluffy kind but this was more doughy. Butter toast was soft and fragrant.
I find the pandan rolls the best amongst the rest.
Finally we got the opportunity to try the food. We ordered satay, French toasts, pasta with nuggets, etc. They simply delicious 😋
Will be back to try the other recommended food.
Ohhh, they sell the most delicious swiss roll too!!
It's good, conveniently next to Boss Hotel. Good selection of food and chill enough to rest after arrival.
Came for Sunday lunch, was able to park at lobby for free. We reached at noon, had to wait a while for table for 5.
Order with QR code, option to pay at counter or credit card. Problem we faced when our satay didn't come and staff seem oblivious. When reminded, no one came back to us to explain why and how soon they can serve us. As when finished all our mains, had to get captain's attention and got a refund.
Food was above average but service from waiting/seated and time for food to be served can be improved.
Will not be coming back for revisit anytime soon.
Good range of hainanese food and interesting rendition of the loh hei with white chicken instead of the usual salmon slices.
I felt prices were on the high side and after GST and service charges, it didn’t feel like worth paying $80 for a small loh hei dish, one laksa and 2 nasi lemak.
A 24 hour hainan restaurant on the corner of Victoria Street and Kallang Street. We had to wait for seating, even it's already past dinner time!
The satay came in with two sauces, peanut sauce and pineaplle sauce, and it was a big chunks satay.
The portion is big, so it could be shared to 2 people.
Great taste.
Pleasantly surprised by the food here and they are delicious and reasonably priced. We came in on the second day and the place was packed!
I think the staff are still trying to figure out the process but they have been friendly in dealing with impatient and eager customers.
Overall the place is worth trying and will come back again!
The food are quite delicious. Hainanese pork chop is average. Fried intestines too salty. I like the braised pork belly and peach tea. Nice ambience and attentive staffs.
Great variety of food to please both the older folks and younger crowd - Instagram worthy, super long queue tho!
Come early for the Swiss roll cakes (pandan, yam, durian!) as it’s handmade in limited quantities everyday, there is a separate takeaway queue for this.
On the menu: curry rice, wee nam kee chicken rice, pumpkin porridge, kwaychap, and they even have bubble tea, tea craft beer, and cookies in tins!
Solid place.
Solid food.
Solid company.
Empty plates, full stomach, big smiles.
Too good that I didn’t get to take a photo before the meal.
To try:
Laska
Porridge
Kway chap
Honey butter toast
Teh C
Mostly are hits!
Excellent food - consistently high quality, fresh and super tasty. Ordered the chicken rice platter twice in 2 days. The chicken rice, dumpling soup and vegetables were fantastic. A special mention of their excellent staff - Shirley was welcoming, helpful and so kind...because of her, I will definitely keep returning to this restaurant and will also recommend it to my network. Thanks guys!
We stayed at the hotel next to this place. We had breakfast and supper at this restaurant. They served good food and drinks. So authentic. Really love this place. Perfect.
Very decent fuss free restaurant with different variety of food avaliable. Highly recommend their white kway chip with pork fried intestine! The pork chop with their signature brown sauce is also a must try. Restaurant is a bit small and usually gets super crowded in the evening. Do come earlier to avoid the peak hour crowd.
My goodness. The satay and the curry rice are suberb. Authentic hainanese flavours and very addictive too. Must tries when you visit. We also ordered the oxtail stew. Not bad but can be better in terms of its taste. Expect a queue for dinner time as there's always a crowd cos parking is very convenient in the hotel and its per entry $3 after 6pm.
If not for the sign that's at the door, I will easily mistaken this place for either a modernized HK style cafe or a modern Hainan coffeeshop. Wide selection of local delight on menu but at a late wee hour, plenty of items would have already been marked 'sold out' when you get into their online ordering system. Food is a rather average affair. Nothing to shout about, nor anything gravely horrible.
Open 24 hours. Not a bad hangout for couple of night owls, swiping their mobile phones while sipping a hot brew.
Hainanese Claypot Braised Pork Belly Set with White Kway Chap, Gula Melaka Egg Tart and Gula Melaka Kaya & Butter Toast. Really cool cafe that reminisce of a Cha Chang Teng but with extraordinary food offering that feels very Singaporean. Best part is this place is 24hr.
Old Tree Mao San Wang Roll. Chef Pang of the previously acclaimed Antionette (which has since closed) has created a local Swiss roll with flavours such as pandan kaya. But the most pricey and may I say Singaporean flavour is this Old Tree Mao San Wang Swiss roll. Its really good but the price of it could turn you away.
Nicely decorated, local cuisine.
Good that it’s open 24 hours, dislike food is normal not very good. Maybe I ordered the wrong stuff. Parking is bad, the mcp is closed so must park else where and way.
Went with high expectations but left feeling underwhelmed by the quality of the food. Based on the price point, I expected the food to be better than hawker or Foodcourt quality. Unfortunately, it's the ambience that overwhelms the senses but not the taste buds.
Ordering:
Making use of modern technology where orders are made through our own mobile phone. The menu is clear and easy to navigate. The only down side is that out of stock dishes are not stated or updated live until after you have submitted your order. Then it's back to the ordering menu again.
Food wise:
First dish. Ordered the father-in-law stingray. Didn't know this is a hainanese staple? It's a decent dish with a coy chilli sambal spread. Taste ok but did not give me a fluttering nostalgic feel in my tummy. Hardly memorable.
Next, Pumpkin Congee with slice pork and century egg. Was anticipating this dish the most with its unique twist. Unfortunately, its rather bland. Hainanese congee are usually slow cooked in a huge cauldron littered with pork bones to give it a rich meaty aroma. Its then individually cooked when ordered. This pumpkin congee bowl taste like it's cooked en masse. No distinct porky flavour. Sorry.
Third dish, Wee Nam Kee chicken rice, regular chicken rice. Rice is of a poorer quality. Few chicken pieces. I honestly think there are enough talented chicken rice stores around Singapore, by Hainanese or otherwise, who could whip up a more flavourful national dish.
Beverage and desserts. Ordered two tea. The only redeeming cuppa. Also ordered a rum and raisin butter cake slice. Moist and warm when served but somehow has a strong tinge of strange essence smell that I can't put a finger on.
Kudos to the staffs though. They were attentive and helpful.
Overall, I feel that the food certainly did not help to bring about a better appreciation of Hainanese food. In summary, pricy but mediocre food. That said, I have not tried the other dishes to decided whether this is the real-macoy or another gimmicky Instagram fad trying to pass off as a genuine Hainanese food enclave.
Casual dining restaurant with vegetarian/plant based dining options. Popular place that is full even on weekday dinner time.
In the plant based menu there are several dishes with OnlyEg and one with Tindle as well.
OnlyEg x Tindle plant based curry rice: Curry wasn't too spicy, had a strong coconut flavour with vegetables like cabbage and long beans. OnlyEg was served on omelette style with some chopped long beans inside, while Tindle patty was battered and deep fried cutlet style, the highlight of the rice.
They open 24hrs. The white duck kway chap is pretty good. Very different from the dark sauce braised version. Their braised pork is savoury. Good place to grab a kopi and toast.
The food here is great, especially the Hainanese Chicken Rice. The flavors are strong, and the amount of food is adequate compared to the price. The lemon tea also tastes nice. The staff are very helpful, and the atmosphere is good for a restaurant. I highly recommend people to eat here.
Had an early breakfast on a rainy Saturday. The bread sets were very well priced and very good. Staff were pleasant, polite and place was very clean.
Wide variety of food from different menus. There's something for most people. Food is good.
Con: Ordering system is very annoying. You have to keep going back to the online menu each time you select an item. So it takes a long time to complete a simple order. It also requires you to order and pay in advance, which discourages add-ons after your first order.
A special place that brings together all famous hainanese brands under one house. Plating is done well, service is fast. Portion is big though, value for money.
Though i actually like the plant based curry but overall the food is a little too salty for us. I had to order an extra drink on top of my kopi c kosong. Restaurant is pretty crowded.
Spent SGD 46 on brunch. Queued for about 15min (due to Covid safe measures). Had Kaya butter toast set (comes with 2 half-boiled eggs and drinks) and honey butter toast set for "breakfast". The yolks are soft cooked not runny; just the way i like it. Had the 1980 traditional chicken cutlet and 1980 traditional pork cutlet. The tradional hainanese is sweet and sour and the potato chip crust is crispy and delicious. Worth it. Bought away pandan Swiss roll for SGD 12. Have yet to try but should be delicious; cuz the waft of heavenly pandan is apparent upon opening the box. 🥰🤤
I like this hainan story chapter one, the food reasonably good like their toast n specially their porridge, their staff friendly always have smile in their face even in busy times, specially staff woi chong she know what the customer need ,alway chat with us when she got time, highly recommended this branch u never forget the atmosphere over here
The 1980's Hainanese Crispy Pork cutlet was awesome and delicious.
Server Eric was attentive and knowledgeable about their food menu. He have recommended one of the signature dish of Hainanstory and i really love it so much :)
Thank you will be back again.
Very tasty hainanese restaurant in Geylang. Really nice decoration also
Nicely decorated restaurant featuring unique hainanese cuisines from various Singapore time-honored brand restaurants like Wee Nam Kee chicken rice and Uncle Robert western food etc. Absolutely love their traditional coffee and egg tart but the rojak with peanut butter bun did not pass my mark. Newspaper curry rice is generous with portion and their braised pork is aromatic with good balance of meat and fat. They also sell a wide variety of Swiss roll too. Definitely will patronage again just for their coffee.
Visited 22 Apr
Ordered Nan Ru rice set - ordinary
Ox tail stew - meat is dry, sauce ok
Coffee - quite good
Yuan yang - absolute best yuan yang I have drank, the tea is not acidic nor overpowering.
As a Hainanese myself the dishes does not have the woah factor. Could have been better
Fast and friendly service! Their laksa are flavourful! Their Hainan pork belly curry rice was quite good! The food was very filling. Good price point!
This place is open 24/7. Excellent service by staff. Some are senior. Beautiful decorated place. There are still other food that I wanna try.. Will be back
im:Curio'Us is here and delighted to try Hainan Story's new addition today 'Beav Nice Dessert'!
Cute ice bear made out of pure coconut water with generous servings of Taro, Sago, Honey Sea honey,Azuki Red beans & Coconut jelly strips.
Base is vanilla ice cream, Yums!
Generous portion of food. Best is all food are served in hot. Too bad the curry is not into my likely taste, great effort spent on the onion.
Our go to breakfast joint. Love the pumpkin porridge and the honey butter toast. Wash it down with the kopi c (butter patty optional).
Always a nice place for Hainanese comfort food. Their classic such as pork chop, lamb stew is a must to order!
The porridge is very hearty and good for cold weathers. Nice decro at the back with the mosaic Chinese Opera faces.
Very authentic classic Hainanese cuisine, extensive menu items, reasonably priced for the decent taste and serving size.
Craving for traditional food, so i ordered chwee kueh and laksa, because the online reviews are good.
Personally comparing to singapore food, it is above standard. But i find their food too salty 😢
The chai poh smells good, generous with shrimp but overpowered.
And Chai poh will be nicer if can taste a little bit sweet, not only salty.
The laksa .. i think gahmen should increase salt price 😹
Many foreigners here, i hope they dont judge sg food based on this salty stall 🙈
The food was alright, with a considerable selection. However, the self-ordering interface on their website via the QR code was horrible. Items weren't classified under typical categories like drinks, rice, noodles, or dessert but rather by the "subheading on the printed menu," causing frustration. Navigating and placing an order took more than 20 minutes. A revamp of the website or considering face-to-face ordering might be beneficial.
Signing off,
Your local reviewer.
Food is good, price is ok for the location.
Very nice traditional food, Only 2 of us we cant eat much we ordered the curry rice, it was very delicious the curry and special chillie is especially tasty. The bun with kaya butter is one of the best that i ever come across also the coffee leaves a very nice fragrance which i cant find in other stores. Good service
I stayed here for one night on a business trip.
There are local restaurants and bars nearby, so you won't have any trouble finding a meal.
The room is a compact twin room with only a small shower booth.
The water pressure was low probably because the shower head was broken.
Amenities included a toothbrush, soap, shower cap, body soap, and conditioner in shampoo.
Guests are multinational.
A Chinese guest was smoking an e-cigarette in the lobby, but none of the staff paid attention to him.
This store is located on the first floor of the Boss Hotel building.
I arrived at the hotel in the evening, so I chose this nearby highly rated restaurant to have dinner alone.
The atmosphere is casual and welcoming to anyone. The staff at the store are also very friendly and great!
I ordered the Hainanese curry, and the taste was perfect👌It was delicious and had a local feel, so it would suit the Japanese palate as well!
The beer was ice cold and delicious, but 10S$ for a small bottle is the Singapore price!
I also had Hainanese chicken the other day and it was delicious.
I went for a quarter size, but it had bones and there weren't many places I could eat it, so it might have been a good idea to go for a half size 😁
They were kind enough to bring me napkins if my hands got dirty!
P.S.
Later, I ate half Hainanese chicken rice and it was too much🤣
A quarter is fine for one person! There are a lot of bones!
It is very similar to a restaurant in Hainan. The chicken soup looks ordinary, but it is surprisingly delicious. The chicken soup has a rich flavor and does not smell like powder!
The service staff are very kind. After you find a seat and sit down, you will be given a QR code. Scan the barcode and enter the table number on the barcode. Then you can choose the meal you want to eat, order it online and have it delivered, and then check out after you have eaten.
During this trip, I stayed at the Boss Hotel next door. I came here three times in total. The toast, egg tarts, rice, and porridge were all very delicious. I also bought peanut butter and kaya sauce. They are open until 2 o'clock in the morning, and sometimes the crowds are quite crowded. You have to queue a lot, so be patient
The newspaper rice is very special. I don’t really like eating this kind of curry, but the braised pork rice is delicious. The durian cake is also delicious. Overall it's pretty good.
It was very delicious, but since we went late, many of the items were sold out.
Love the honey toast so much♡♡
For Thai people who have read The breakfast was very delicious.
Especially toast and pumpkin porridge. I go to eat every morning in Singapore.
I think they paid less than 10 people for the Kaya Toast set and the large Yunyang. I was wondering what the Kaya Toast bread was because it was so big, but the chewy texture went well with the Kaya jam and butter! The bread tastes good,,, and above all, the Yunyang (milk tea + coffee) is really delicious when ordered warm haha. It doesn't taste the same as what I ordered here anywhere else?! It may not taste anything special and it may be just what you imagine, but it was rich and delicious! If you stop by, I highly recommend giving it a try.
It was delicious, and the satay was chewy and sweet.
Teh was okay, and I think the toast set is a good Singaporean breakfast.
The food here is quite delicious. I recommend the honey & butter toast. The bread is very soft.
However, I personally feel that the place is a bit small and the service staff have good attitudes, but the payment method is a bit troublesome.
