Hidden Gem Alert! The Makan Place @ AMK Serves Up Delicious Western Food & Friendly Vibes Just had a fantastic experience at The Makan Place @ AMK (Blk 338 Ang Mo Kio Ave 1) and wanted to spread the word! I was searching online for western food and stumbled upon this place. I'm so glad I decided to give it a try! From the moment I walked in, the staff were incredibly friendly. They greeted me with a smile and patiently helped me navigate the menu. The food itself was delicious! I order fish and chip, spaghetti and chicken chop, and it was perfectly cooked and very flavorful. But the experience didn't stop there! The owner even surprised me with a complimentary dim sum dish to try. It was such a kind gesture and a delicious way to discover something new on the menu. The Makan Place @ AMK truly embodies the spirit of a neighborhood gem. The food is great, the prices are affordable, and the staff (and owner!) are incredibly friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be back to explore more of their menu and experience that warm hospitality again. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the Ang Mo Kio area! Halal certified plus cooling Makan place.

This place sits where Ren² chicken rice used to be. A hidden gem. Acceptable portions at affordable prices. My personal favourite is the black pepper pasta. If you're looking for the 'atas' fare, maybe go elsewhere. Food is served up expeditiously and whilst hot and steamy! Don't take my word for it. Try it for yourself!

Excellent service and affordable place to eat . Staff was very polite and explains to us regards the Halal certificate. Food was great , taste like the high class restaurant. Highly recommend place to dine in. I will come back again to try out the rest of the menu.

Not bad for neighborhood joint. Dim sum menu was nice. I had fish and chips..good for the price. My husband had prata and chicken curry. Also okay for price. Will come again.

Been here a few times. Go for their curry chicken (enough to share for 2 small eater), salad (well balanced texture and taste; good for sharing between 2 to 4) and their fried rice and spaghetti / noodles dishes. Give their burger a miss (chicken one was made of minced meat patty that is mushy and taste bad; It would be better if the meat is the chicken chop or cutlet type).
