Love that the original vadai is at Tampines! The chilli has been highly raved by my family members - it is spicy enough for those who have a keen tastebud for spicy food. Only downside is the waiting time but I guess it’s because they have the vadai cooked on the go! I particularly enjoy the ikan billis vadai :)

Overall a good quality vadai shop. The prawn Vadai is still the best. The ikan bilis one is ok but not as good as the prawn. You need to eat it within 30 min if not they become soggy. In this case you will need to reheat in an air fryer. Best eaten with the green chilli and a cuppa of teh tarik.

Really taste better than other seller in Changi Village or Gelyang serai. Crispy and don't taste like bread! Give lot of chilli! Friendly staff!

Must try crispy squid very perfect Vadi have different flavours not original Indian vada But must try taste good and unique although it’s called bags can say local version of vada … oily just tap with paper napkin n can consume as that’s makes the taste Have both veg Vada like chilli , dal , onion n veg Vada Non veg have prawn n ikanabikis n grago Vada.

The name was misleading, went with the expectations of a Madras Original Vadai. Tried the parupu vadai and it wasn’t that great, my review is very narrow and based on veg options so feel free to ignore if u know the shop’s history and like the prawn vadai.

It’s nice and delicious while hot. The queue time is quite long (i took about 30min in total) The vadai costs $6.50 per box of 6, which my parents think are quite pricey.

I have had it few times at the century branch..today I tasted the vadai from Changi airport. Not only it was bigger, it tasted much better than that from century square. Hope the century sq branch can be improved

Very nice vadai in tampines central area. May be a little slow cause its freshly made and some customers buy in bulk. They have another branch in geylang. Tampines vadai is slightly more costly but if you are around tampines area, its not to miss!

The best vadai - crunchy and flavourful. Best eaten within the hour as it loses its crunch and gets oily after which is a huge pity.
