Went on a Friday night, no crowd. Service is fast and staffs are friendly and approachable. A good place to chill after work if working nearby in the area. Finger food is nicer than the main dishes. Order KL Hokkien mee sad to say totally no standard. Crabmeat capellini will be a good choice to take main. All portions are not big. It’s good for 2 to 3 pax only. There is live band here that sings mandarin songs on that night too. Price is acceptable, Spend almost $190 for 4 side dish, 2 main and 6 beers.

This place surprised me with the quality food it serves! Dishes that worth mentioning are: Mala Chicken Karaage, Mala Stingray, fish and chips and the oysters! The mala chicken karaage seriously mind blowing! Chicken is tender and juicy and the seasoning packs a punch which is also flavourful! Oysters are fresh and plump! Fish and chips has a twist and it surprises me that it goes so well with the mala paste! This place filled up fast so might need to come early to get a seat! One thing to note is the band is average and seriously way too loud….. And apart from that there is one particular skinny and really tall service staff who wasn’t friendly to us…. black face all the way since taking orders and serving drinks and dishes which kinda spoil the experience at Tipsy Penguins. However, the rest of the staff are very friendly and humorous! Aside from that, this place offers very good ambiance for dining and catch up with friends. Definitely worth coming provided not the same band and service staff that serves us 🥲.

Nice place to chill with friends and share their sides. Had quite a lot of space when we visited on a Sunday afternoon around 3pm. Food is pricey but tastes good and the portions are large. Especially love their mac n cheese and stealth fries. Wasn't too fond of spam youtiao but the other sides I tried were good. Quite a selection of drinks available, both alcoholic and non alcoholic. Staff are friendly and food was served fairly fast. Would recommend this place to share dishes and to chill with friends over drinks.

I was there to celebrate our 1 st month Wedding anniversary so here the comments Food: good and we love it Location: by car there is per entry car park after 5pm, by bus right in front there is a bus stop if not just drop at tampines interchange and walk over. Service: it is always better to reserve before walking in, quite crowded even though I was there on Monday. Live Band: it happen that I was there on Monday so the Singer seem young he favorite Chinese singer I think is Jay chou cause he been sing Jay chou song and also due to his age I believe he sing mostly the lastest song instead. But it will be good that he can speak slowly and not mumble because I am unable to listen carefully. Overall I love it, a place to eat chill and drink...

Food is cooked well but i feel that it is too rich & heavy for my liking, i like a good fried chicken but I'd prefer a vinegar based dressing the salad that comes with the dish for a bit more balance. Oysters are relatively fresh but they could be a bit more generous with the sauce that comes with the half dozen and are a little small though they are $2 each. Place is fully booked from dinner till closing but relatively empty during the afternoons. You have to make reservations in advance if you want the dinner timings but will be fine if you spontaneously feel like having it for lunch. Overall, I'd recommend a try but this probably wouldn't be high on my "must return for more" list.

Good location for Tampines crowd. Good range of drinks selection and promotions. Nice for groupies or just chill out. Food was pretty decent. They do open for lunch crowd with value for money lunch set too. Would definitely come back.

Overall was a good experience although my visit was a Friday night and the air-conditioned area was fully booked. It was a bit hot outside as there were no fans. Food and service was good though.

Nice place to chill out after work... food is decent, drinks are what they should be, service is good. Quite packed though even on a Thursday. Fridays are definitely no go unless you are early or have a booking... all in all, good place to hang out!

Food here is reasonably priced with humongous portion and tastes delicious. It's a great place to chill with your friends and there's a variety of beer on tap for your selection. I'm only giving 4 stars as it's almost impossible to get any service sitting outdoor and you have to wait seriously long just to get cutleries for your food or pay the bill.

Delicious tapas to go with the signature frosty! Specially like the mala Karagae and spam youtiao. Not forgetting the excellent service by restaurant manager Jasmine and team, which make the hideout one of the gems in Tampines!

Came here to claim the free guinness and ordered oysters and porcini mushroom soup on the side. The oysters were fresh and sweet and the mushroom soup was heavenly! Not too cloy and the taste is very unique! Service was good and prompt. Will Definitely come back again!

Had a really good meal on Halloween. The place was buzzing. The oysters were surprisingly good. We started with 12 and after.. ordered another 24. The staff were working hard but I was very impressed by the managers. They were flying around the restaurant not just serving but connecting with their customers. The food was good. I wouldn't say it was exceptional but good. Unfortunately, the CRABMEAT CAPELLINI missed that mark. It was supposed to be one of their specialities. It was tasteless, bland. The pork belly was good but perhaps a GARLIC CORIANDER AIOLI might have been a better dip. Other items we had were the Beef Gyudon bowl, truffle fries, the Szechuan Mala Karaage and burnt cheesecake. We'll be back again for sure to try the other dishes. But definitely for the oysters. @tipsypenguinsg

11/10 would recommend this place. Jasmine was very friendly and happy to recommend food on the menu. She was also very patient in helping us to decide what food to order. Throughout the meal time, she constantly checked on how is our food and how we enjoy our dinner. Tipsy Penguin is the place to go to if you appreciate helpful crews :)

The Tipsy Penguin has become a regular drinking hole cos my son has tuition nearby. Well anyway, today, May 20th, I decided to try some of the sides, it's $22 for 2 sides, i had the nachos and the salted fish skin, excellent stuff man, only complaint is that it is TOO BIG A SERVING. I am stuffed to the brim. Okay, the 3 Hendricks and tonic didn't help but hey, it's Saturday right? Cheers people!! ....................................... Previously Well, I have been to Tipsy Penguin 3 times and today I was asked by a pleasant staff if I could do a review of Tipsy Penguin, definitely. So here goes, first thing, NO CASH PAYMENTS, remember this ok :) now the next thing is the drinks, I always always take the Guinness 2 pints for S$25 for the very simple reason I like Guinness. For the rest of the drinks, you can always check those out yourself. Atmosphere is very relaxed, no airs at all, the staff are very pleasant and friendly as well, just like coming home. Seats are comfortably spaced out (SMM rules mah, no choice), for smokers, you will be please to note that the smoking area is just outside. For drinkers, okay, gotta tell you the loo is a little bit further away, so don't wait till last minute before going to relieve yourself. Now the food, it's of the Deep Fried Buffalo P*nis and it's rather picquant tasting, kidding kidding, that is the Spam Youtiao with the honey mustard mayo, to be honest, I could just barely taste the honey and mustard, but the youtiao was excellent and for $10, well worth it especially with Guinness or beer. I have also had Salted Egg Fish Skin also $10 and would have deserved an excellent but for the oil cos I don't take oily food so I am a little sensitive to oil but my friends have raved about it and I would too except for the oil, everything else is wonderful, especially the curry leafs, yum. Now, saving the best for last, is the Wagyu Beef Cubes, now these are excellent, simply mouth watering, lip smacking, finger licking good stuff. Tender, juicy and a treat indeed, seriously I kid you not, you really must try the wagyu beef cubes. Stay tuned and I will post as I try more food and beverages here!! Hope you enjoyed the review.

Amazing service by all the crew in Tipsy Penguin! Really enjoyed the hospitality. Wait time for food was short even when it was full house. Requested for a surprise cake arrangement for my Mum and they very kindly delivered it and made our day! Special mention to Marc who was super attentive and friendly! Thank you!

Just found this place. Relatively nice ambience. But was asked to let them hold my credit card when I ordered one pint of beer at 5:30pm. Really? In this day and age? I’m not a teenage kid looking to get drunk. Had to pay in advance in the end. Also, is this really a pint? Feels more like the standard 330ml to me. One pint is at least 500ml.

Tipsy collective is very brainlessly good. They are everywhere, hence easy choice made. Great for big groups, dates and afterwork light hydration. Their food is consistent, not the best but definitely above average. At least 7/10 bar food. Drinks are not exorbitantly priced yet they have live bands as well, hence the atmosphere is great. Toilet is not super near the shop. Like 30 seconds away so do hold your bladder for convenience.

Food was very tasty, and for it's price, it's totally worth it. The Cornflake Crusted Chicken Thigh Cordon Bleu was excellent. However, only saw 1 beer on the menu that offers tower, hopefully there can be more varieties added for the towers. Toni was very prompt with her service, very friendly and is very proactive in noticing that almost immediately after my drinks were finished, she went to take the next. Many thanks to Toni and her excelling service and friendly demeanor, making it easy to order food and drinks.

Not a bad place to chill. Big and spacious, overall ambient is very nice. Great variety of beer too. Within walking distance from The Tampines Stadium Hub, Tampines mall and New Century Square. They should be able to handle corporate crowds for after work gatherings, chills, team dinner, etc. The penguin is cute and quite kid friendly too!

Met a friend to chill over drinks and sharing plates. We loved the oysters especially! ☺️ We enjoyed 5 star service at the restaurant: 1) Our service staff Matt recommended delicious cocktails to us and helped inform the band of our song request. 2) The bartender, Ho Wei, concocted our cocktails and added mixers in just the right ratios! The drinks were very enjoyable ☺️ Had a wonderful experience at the first Tipsy concept that I've tried out and I would surely return.

A very lovely bar in the neighbourhood for a relaxed after work dinner with good quality food (always high standard) and couple of beers. We love the Frosty Lager. Excellent service. Now after the reopening Post Covid we went on a Saturday evening (usually came weekdays) and it is still very amazing. Lively and popular place. Food even improved, might be a new chef. The singing girl was awesome tonight. She should go to a singing contest.

It's an amazing place with great food in the heartland of HDB neighborhood. I was served by server, Matt. He was enthusiastic and cheerful. He never fails to check every table to see how the diners are enjoying their food and drinks. He gives excellent recommendations on the food and drinks in house. Very professional and yet without the stoicness of formality. There is basking everyday except for Sunday. It's definitely my favourite hangout place.

Had a wonderful dinner experience with Tipsy Pengiun last night. We were very surprised by the excellent service provided by the crew members. The crew assisted us in changing from a high table to a lower table as one of my friends was heavily pregnant. While We waited for our table, the crew that greeted us helped us and offered us a glass of water. There is also this crew member named Mr. Matt who is so attentive to everyone. We can see him constantly checking on other tables and not forgetting my heavily pregnant friend. :) He gave us good recommendations on the food to order, and it is so tasty. So happy that there is a nice chill bar in Tampines that serves good food as well! They have 2 for $18 sides and I always get the fermented pork belly and mala karaage! Both are really good, and as for mains, I usually get the gyudon but I find the portion a little small.

Went to Tipsy Penguin on a Sunday night and the crowd was okay. The food and drinks are reasonably priced, and the place is family friendly. Special shout-out to one of the staff, (i believe her name is Cindy). She was friendly and patient, despite us taking a long time to decide what we wanted. Nice place, has live performances at night. Price of food and drink isn't too bad. The range of beers could be better. Not conducive for conversations indoors as it gets very loud, but outdoors is pretty good. The fans placed outside help to deal with the usual Singapore heat.

Excellent Executive Set Lunch Menu @ $10! Comes with starter, main and beverages. Mesclun Mix Salad was delicious. Evenly mixed, and well paired with roasted sesame dressing. Black Pepper Chicken Chop was well portioned. Sauce was tasty. Comes with garlic fries which was unique. Had a taste of the Frosty's Fish and Chips, and it was crispy and nice. Latte was great! Place is spacious and cosy. Staffs were fast, friendly and efficient. Great place for lunch. Would definitely be a good place to hang out any time!

Frosty lager is delicious and the welcoming refreshment we all crave for on a hot day right after a headache inducing day at work. Imagine our utter disappointment to find out that Tipsy penguins were not opened until 5pm! We were crushed! We sat on the seats outside under the scorching hot unforgiving sun, thirsty and upset, laminating about our bad luck, ill fortune and the tiredness we’re plagued with on Mondays, until Derek appeared! It was another 14 long dreadful minutes to 5pm but Derek took pity on us and ushered us into the restaurant! Despite that it was ahead of the official operating hours, Derek empathise with our situation and took our orders promptly. Our food and drinks were served quickly and this just really really made our Monday. I’m not sure if Derek gets to see this but thank you Derek! Because of you and your great service (and the delicious frothy, scratch that, FROSTY BEER), we actually feel more empowered to soldier on for the rest of the work week!
