Ordered the chicken steak(chop). Hot and fresh chicken and fries makes this a good comfort food for the hungry stomach. Flavoring is just nice, not out to impress, just plain good piece of grilled chicken.

If you are up for local favourites & western dishes at affordable prices, check out Toby’s Kopi Toast Bakery! One of their more popular items is the 𝗕𝗕𝗤 𝗕𝗮𝗯𝘆 𝗥𝗶𝗯𝘀. The meat was really fork-tender and well-marinated, with a good ratio of meat and fat! The sticky BBQ sauce slathered over the ribs leans on the sweeter side but added smokiness to the overall flavour profile. The thick-cut paprika fries that came along were crispy too! For $6.90, the 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗲 (𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗖𝘂𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘁/𝗣𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘆) is an absolute bargain given the hearty portions! The highlight for us was definitely their pork cutlet which was coated with soda cracker crust. Every piece of the cutlet was meaty with a light crunch on the exterior, and it didn’t feel overly oily. Mar 2024 Decided to come back for a 2nd visit after our 1st visit that was great. Overall dropped 1 star. No menu is available except at the counter. This is so crappy. Everyone who wants to eat have to crowd around the counter to see the menu. Maybe implement a QR code menu? Very confusing service! We had to collect all our food and drinks this time round!? During our 1st visit, all the food a d drinks were served to our table. So, we had expected the food and drinks to be brought to our table like the 1st time. The staff never bothered to mention it's NOW self-service. Our food was left at the counter and they kept dinging the bell and looking around for some people to collect the food. This is not fast food joint! You have staff but don't bother to send food to table and don't even tell customers it's self service! For our slice of cake, we asked to be served immediately. But it's keyed in as serve later. We had to request for the cake 3 times and it took 15 mins to get a slice of cake ready. The pork ribs were dry and meat tasteless. I think the ribs are boiled and slathered with some version of bbq sauce that's heavy in tomato sauce and grilled or flamed before service. Check the photo. Not recommended. Braised pork rice was good. Would be better if the sauce had a little sugar and more salt for taste. But overall, this is still great. Feb 2024 Great place for a quick breakfast serving assorted local toast sets. Great place for lunch and dinner too featuring local and western/italian cuisine. Wallet friendly. Ample open air parking available. Parking is free on Sat & Sun. Highly recommended! 👍👍

Hidden gem cafe in the West that serving wide variety of delicious western, asian and local foods at affordable price. What he had: - BBQ Back Ribs $10.90 Meat was really well marinated and tender, with a good ratio of meats and fats. The smoky and mildly sweet BBQ sauce was not overpowering and elevated the flavor. This served with well seasoned thick cut fries and fresh coleslaw ❤️ - Pork Cutlet Curry Rice $6.90 With only $6.90, you will get a hearty meal that combines favor of crispy pork cutlet with rice, creamy curry sauce and perfect runny yolk. The generous pork cutlet was well coated with soda biscuit make it crunchy and not too oily! ❤️ - Prawn Katsu Curry Rice The Crispy Prawn Katsu perfectly goes with curry, rice and perfect runny yolk as well. - Braised Pork Belly Rice The flavor-packed umami pork belly chuncks are mealt easily in mouth, perfect pair with rice and braised eggs ❤️ - Minced Meat in Soya Bean Paste Noodles ($6.90) The noodles were soft and not too chewy, it’s perfect for my kid. They gave generous amount of sweet soya bean paste and minced meat. I also tried the TOBY’s Kaya Toast Set: 2 toast coupled with creamy kaya and melted butter. Served with perfectly runny soft-boiled egg and aromatic coffee. Overall we enjoyed the foods and service and leave with smile on our faces 😊😊We will be back to try other foods and desserts ❤️ If you are looking for a great spot to have a hearty meal with wallet-friendly price, we highly recommend this place 👍 👍

Had their curry (forgot to take photo) and I think it's pretty good portion and taste for its price ($6.90). What surprises me is their cakes; don't forget to go in for their cakes. Their cakes is priced cheaper at night by the way. I tried their Orh Nee cake and was pleasantly surprised by the burst of fusion of yam and coconut. It's flavourful but not too sweet - would recommend!

Mixed feelings about the eatery. It seems to be a very average cafe with average food and averagely higher prices, but yet it drew a sizeable crowd on both Saturday afternoons that I was there, so that is surprising to me. The only thing I do like more would be the coffee tables (low tables) area by the main entrance with upholstered seats, which was nice and comfortable to sit back and relax.

Located in Trade Hub 21, Boon Lay Way. Right under the MRT track. This is a unique cafe hidden in an Industrial site. Let's begin with the food. My wife and I were attracted by their sign board Toby's and we decided to venture into this place. When we got nearer, we saw the pictures of Hainanese Curry rice , Braised Pork Rice( 卤肉饭) and kopi toast set. Then, right in front of us, we saw cakes! Through the glass entrance. We went in to explore their menu. They have buddy meals @$11 , 2 main dish and 2 drinks ( Calamansi, Water Chestnut, Fruit punch and Mango) They have tea time special which ends at 6pm. ( A slice of cake and a coffee/) Of course, you are free to order ala carte. See photos They are open for business Mon-Thu 7.30am-7.30pm Fri-Sat 7.30am - 10.30pm In the end, we ate the buddy meal and had a cake each with coffee. Did I mentioned about the cakes? It's really delicious. We had Durian Lover and Oreo Obsession! Highly recommended. The cakes are served on a wooden plate. Oh, did I missed out the little details on the serving plate? They sprinkle chocolate powder of the word Toby on the plate. Very cool! The friendly staff really makes our day. Wonderful service. Very rare in this times, especially in Singapore nowadays. Loved the ambience, very cosy. Price is reasonable. Very affordable meal. How to get here? Will have to cover another day as I am not too familiar with the public transport. This is ultimately a hidden gem in an industrial estate.

Went Toby’s again tis time for dinner w hubby coz he wana try their burgers. Ordered Toby deluxe burger & he liked it. Love the Battered Mushrooms recommended by the staff. Trying their aglio Grilled Chicken first time. Of co ordered their cakes again - Ondeh ondeh cake & Orh Nee cake (yam)....urm...ended up also tapao some more cakes home including Tiramisu & Nutella Choc cake, Orh Nee, Ondeh. & 2 Frozen Durian Choc cakes.....aiyoyo there goes the advice pf the dietician - gone w the wind! Oops! I love Toby’s - price reasonable, nice cosy ambience, good food, friendly staff.

This has to be one of the hidden gems in Jurong East. Away from the typical shopping centre lies this cafe that serves not only good food but awesome cakes! I have tried many flavours but ultimately just love its ondeh ondeh cake. Mildly sweet but so flavourful. Moist is done just right and the gulu melaka is so fragrant. The perfect perk-me-up on a sleepy afternoon. Try buying 8 slices of different assortment/flavours and staff will gladly arrange it into an entire cake thats quite visually pleasing. Friendly staff as well.

Came here for lunch at about 12pm. Ordered the buddy meal 2 mains for 11 bucks. Ordered curry rice with chicken/ pork cutlet. Well it’s decent enough to be finished completely. Let’s talk about cons. I can handle samyang spicy chicken ramen without breaking a sweat. So when I had this, I don’t think it’s spicy at all. It’s rather sweet actually. Another con is that the whole meal wasn’t hot. It’s more of warm. I consumed my meal the moment it was ready and didn’t really wait for it to cool down. I would advise getting the chicken instead of pork. Pork was rather dry and thin. But chicken was quite succulent. Pros. It’s a decent curry. Not too watery and not too thick. Right consistency. Coffee is not bad, taste better than your average coffee.

Cool cafe to chill on a hot Saturday afternoon. $3.80 toast, soft boiled eggs and coffee set is damn worth it! Ordered some cakes to share, particularly love the beet root red velvet cheese cake. Many choices for quick lunch, including Taiwanese braised pork rice, chicken cutlet rice, etc.

Good selection of tea as well. Kid's cake set is actually ice cream that is properly sized. Good idea not to give them too much. Close to Let'em Play for a reward after some efforts.

I have become a bit of a regular at Tobys, especially for breakfast. Where can you get a good quality, breakfast set of toast, eggs and coffee/tea from $3.80? The eggs are large by coffee shop standard, the toast always nicely done and straight off the toaster. Clean, cosy and relatively quiet ambience. no parking problem.

A lovely cafe which sells western cuisine. The food is quite affordable and also tasty in general. they have various promotions available with DBS when i was there and got a few coupons for my next visit. The owner is usually seen walking around serving food too and the staff there are really friendly. their highlight is mostly their desserts which are really good in general.

Talk about an unexpected experience - we (3 adults and 4 children) walked in after a session at let em play accross the street and we're simply blown away. Vijay and the entire team were simply great - attentive, courteous hardbworky and joyful having fun at what they do! (We did come in to an almost full house). The food was delicious - you would not think you would get this kind of quality when you look at the menu. Top notch, both for the set lunch, the kids meals and the ala Cart selection (I had the sausages). Of course, the dessert was forced o. Me (with a smile) and I went for the cheesecake - it was really delicious and not as sweet as the usual cheesecake. Well done!!!

One of the nice eating place hidden away from the shopping areas. Dinner time isnt crowded even if its a weekend. However, it is still best to book in advance as the place isnt that big. Staffs are friendly and patient. Wide selection of food.and wont have to wait long. Food is awesome and the cakes is a must to have. Even if you cant eat there, pack it with you. Worrh the extra calories. And for once, dont have to worry about finding a parking space. There are lots available

Located in tradehub 21, this is nice cafe style restaurant. I only visit here in lunch time, and they serves lunch menu with soup + drink package. Variety of many is nice, from pasta to burgers, and $1 soup + drink add on is also acceptable. Taste of food is quite ok, serving speed is also good. If look for lunch place near Tradehub 21, this could be the choice.

Ever tried having local kopi and teh with western cakes? Well, you can find them here at #TradeHub21. Great venue for #Chiaxing with your friends. Sweet #OndehOndehCake and #BurntCheeseCake went fine with my #TehO. The burnt cheese cake tasted like normal cheese cake though, but is thick and cheesy.
