Reviews of TONITO Latin American Kitchen @ Jewel
Happen to be at Jewel on lunch time, so we decided to try rhis restaurant.. and it turned out very nice and the food didn't fail us. The service was also fast and the server was very helpful. We had pork tacos, ceasar salad and fried mixed sea food. The portions are good enough for two.. recommended 👌👍.
Good ambience and huge place for gathering.
We tried almost all the mains and some appetiser and snacks. Most items are good and can customize to no chilli as there is kid.
Some of the items are abit expensive but food and service is excellent. There is 1 for 1 promo via entertainer app hence got about $100 discount after we ordered 3 main dishes.
Food is great as always I have been here few times. Atmosphere and price are quite according to the standard of the food, it you won't get disappointed. We were serve by Weihan and he did a great job providing recommendations and making sure we were confortable.
We ate Arroz con Cerdo and Arroz con Mariscos. Both of them were very good.
Food was slightly pricey but the ambience was great for chilling with friends
Food was good and flavourful
Especially loved the paella and wished that it was bigger portion
Nacho chips were light and crispy and didn't feel too heavy at all
Tonito serve the best Mexican food I have ever had. My family enjoyed every dish. We will definitely come back again. Their service is excellent! Their ambiance is fantastic too, with the Jewel Rain Vortex in perfect view. One of their staff Pei Min is very friendly and super helpful! All the best Tonito!
Some taste not bad and flavourful while some quite normal. The service is normal. Price-wise, kinda expensive after they raising up the price.
My go-to at jewel. Hope they can open more outlets in town. Love the mains and cocktails here. Taking turns to try different signature dishes
We ordered the seafood risotto and seafood pasta. The risotto tasted pretty good and the pasta was so so. The portion sizing was a rather small and the risotto didn't come out hot.
The price was above average for what we received. I would return again but only using a 1 for 1 voucher and if there was nothing else nearby that I fancied.
My recent dining experience at Tonito, the Latin American restaurant at Jewel Changi, was truly exceptional. From the moment I stepped in, I felt immersed in the vibrant atmosphere of Latin America.
I started my culinary journey with the Beef Quesadilla, and it was a flavor explosion. The melted cheese and tender beef wrapped in a crispy tortilla made for the perfect appetizer. Next up was the Argentinian Prawn Pasta, and it did not disappoint. The succulent prawns combined with the flavorful pasta left me craving for more.
To accompany my meal, I indulged in the Classic Fiesta Margarita, and it was the perfect choice. The tangy lime combined with the smooth tequila created a refreshing and invigorating drink that complemented the bold flavors of the dishes perfectly.
The ambiance at Tonito was lively and energetic, with Latin music playing in the background and colorful decor adding to the festive vibe. The attentive service provided by the staff further enhanced my dining experience.
Overall, Tonito exceeded my expectations in every way. From the delicious food to the lively atmosphere, it truly captures the essence of Latin American cuisine. I left the restaurant feeling satisfied and already planning my next visit.
Service was really good, thank you!!!
Food was interesting— the beef burrito and beef quesadilla were the best!
I liked the jalapeño hot sauce.
We came for a family meal with 2 kids on Sunday. Food was great , service was great, the several times the adults went there. However, when we brought the kids for the first time , we were appalled at the portion of the kids meal.
So, when we ordered the kids meal, it costs $15 bucks , and for reference, a 2 piece taco is around a similar price. However, the portion size was very small. When we asked the staff (presumably manager due to different outfit of the whole crew), the reply she gave was that is the standard kids size, while looking annoyed(I have to give the benefit of doubt as that could be her natural look).
Then she mentioned that $15 is for the food, plus the "complimentary" ice cream and juice. To me that does not justify the portion size. As a fellow industry person, when you claim that the ice cream and juice is complimentary, you can include the costing into the COGS, you're not wrong. BUT, you do not tell that to a customer as to them, it's written there free, which means , in their eyes , they are paying $15 for this <100gm trimmings and <100gm fries.
If you do not know , perception of value is very important. Your COGS can be 20% , maybe even 15%, but the perception of value should make it seem like it's worth $15 buck, not a plate of trimmings and left over fries.
And lastly , the way the manager handled the situation was a real disappointment. It reeks of inexperience.
1. Gave a snarky reply that , it was indeed the portion size.
2. Told us $15 price and portion size is due to them giving juice and ice cream, which they wrote there "complimentary"
3. The kids had their little juice cup served to them before the food, when the food arrived and we gave our feedback, the manager immediately took back the juice cups and said she will cancel the order(this is VERY distasteful), you would risk return customers with a minimum spend of over $40 each over something that costs you $0.40?
4. We reserved a table for 7, but due to a last minute arrangement , we had to bring the helper along
5. when we informed the staff, the same manager gave an irritated look(then again, it could be her default face, giving the benefit of doubt)
6. She came back after and told us it's $15 because it's barramundi. Please la, at $15, your COGS can be at 20-30%, let's say your cost is $5, even if I include your ice cream and juice ,
Juice Approx. 140Ml = $0.50
Ice cream single scoop = $1.30
Fries approx 60-80gm = $0.70
That leaves us with a costing of $2.50 for the barramundi.
I do not want to disclose the costing we can get for barramundi, but you're telling me that , that little side trimmings of barramundi would bring your food cost up to $5? I am already being generous and rounding up the true values.
It pains me to write this review as I often sympathise with my fellow industry people , but this experience I had is really distasteful, especially when I've been coming to tonito since the opening team was here.
Inconsistency, bad recovery service from the manager, and the lack of perception of value in your food will definitely kill the business.
I am giving 3 stars to not bring down your rating as it could be a 1 off mistake. But this is definitely a 1 star rating, if not for the fact that I like to dine here and due to past great dining experiences.
Signing off,
An unhappy chef.
To be fair, they did warn that food portions are small and sorted meant that food weren’t rlly meant for sharing. Food portions are not big and is borderline little for its price. Tasted alright, nothing to scream about.
Overall a pleasant experience. Margaritas had a little kick which was good. The table sauce was spicy so go easy on it first. We ordered most of the food with the spicy food on the side which was a lot better. The pork paella was the star for me.
This place is JUST SO UNDERRATED......Great Tapas/Mexican food, strong punchy drinks....maybe best this stays under the radar and doesn't get crowded.......Wait! What have I done?!?
Went for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We were a table of 5 adults and 3 kids.
Ordered 2 kids meal - Fish and Chips; and Chicken Fingers, among others. The portion of the kids meal was appalling. There were 2 to 3 tiny pieces of each protein and measly few pieces of fries for the fish and chips. Each kid’s meal cost $15 before tax, and comes with a complimentary drink (think Ikea’s small colourful plastic cups) and a scoop of ice cream. Disregarding the supposedly free drink and ice cream, how do you justify paying $15 for 3 pieces of tiny chicken fingers (refer to picture). The other ‘adult’ dishes were fine.
The service, though, was great. This deserves 5 stars. That said, this place will not be my first choice. There are other better Mexican places.
Great view of the waterfall and light show! would come again just for the ambience. Happy hour cocktails are decently priced and tapas are enjoyable
This Latin American restaurant was an absolute gem! The highlight was their secret menu, which featured an incredible corn dish—perfectly charred, bursting with flavor, and truly unforgettable. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, but what made the experience exceptional was the stellar service from Wei Han. He was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our meal was perfect. His knowledge of the secret menu made the lunch even more special. Five stars all the way!
Great casual dining place with pretty good South American cuisine. Atmosphere is crowded but cosy, nice music playing in the background.
Our server, Pei Min, was great. She asked us if it was our first time here and it was, so she made some great recommendations. Excellent service. She made the experience so much better.
We ordered 4 different appetisers to share. The friholes negra (black beans) were surprisingly good. The mussels was disappointingly small but tasty. If only they provided decent sized ones which were more consumerate with the price they charge for the dish. The calamari was delightfully done.
I had the Beef burrito was great and very filling. The fish taco was good too.
Will be back.
Love The Food, Service And Vibe! One of the best Mexican food I tried in Singapore! Nestled inside Changi Jewel with a fantastic view of the rain vortex. Ambiance is A+ for sure. Food is equally good and bang for your buck. You have to try their fish taco. Happy hour drinks are cheap! I like their Mango Margarita. Service excellent!
Made a reservation to have lunch in Tonito last Sunday, and I must say it is the best decision!
Seldom get a chance to have authentic Mexican food, and Tonito totally nailed it! The food is extremely delicious, flavorful, substantial, spiced and fresh!
We ordered quite a number of dishes- the barramundi, fish tapas, beef quesadilla, potato balls, beef steak, churros and cake. The drinks are refreshing too.
Service is fabulous. The waitress who served us is attentive, thoughtful and well-mannered. She even provided us with complimentary drinks for the waiting time (which wasn’t really too long to be honest).
The place is very kid-friendly, with 2 big screens showing cartoons. They have complimentary kid meal too which is also very tasty!
The place is very crowded, so better to make reservations before coming to avoid disappointment!
Really enjoyed my time there!
Barramundi was thick with crispy skin. The pasta was cooked al dente and soaked in pomodoro sauce, chimichurri and crispy garlic goodness. Chicken Quesadilla had chucks of juicy chicken meat. We ordered the all day Happy Hour mocktail (promotion only on weekday) to go along with our mains. A delightful dinner while enjoying the scenic vortex at night. Absolutely slay!
Food is tasty and nice.
Presentation of the Food is nice.
Staffs is friendly and nice.
TONITO @jewelchangiairport is the only Latin American restaurant in the east of Singapore. It serves family-friendly Latin American bites with the beautiful panorama view of the Rain Vortex. Tonito Latin American Kitchen is a great place to enjoy a delicious meal in a vibrant atmosphere.
The staff are friendly and welcoming. The restaurant also offers a variety of vegetarian and vegan options, as well as gluten-free options.
The yellow risotto rice was nicely seasoned and I love how the crispy quinoa complemented the barramundi stew. The paella was a disappointment as there was no soccarat.
Fantastic food with friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend.
Overall experience is very enjoyable.
Staff: Peimin
Her service is really good, always check on us and ask if the food is good. The food she recommended is really good.
Food:
Fish taco is really good, not all the places can pull off fish taco, so I can say that their fish is fresh and the taste is on point.
Pork quesadilla- the meat is really soft and tasty
Slow cooked pork- this dish is the best overall, honestly there isn’t any thing I can think of that is not good at all.
Price:
Slightly on the higher side but it’s worth it.
It’s good for sharing so go in a group will be better.
I like the food here. But the Paelle de Cerdo portion looks abit miserable compare to what was shown in the menu. $28 for that portion is really sad. The dish itself is flavourful.
The taco chicken, the chicken is well marinated. The quesadilla beef i really like texture of it, the cheese and shredded beef taste wonderful. I like the combination of it. The chile habanero chilli sauce goes very well with the tacos.
Although their food is really delicious but I wouldnt come here too often due to the portion and price of food.
The service here is abit slow due to full house during Sunday lunch.
We were here for my husband’s birthday. It’s our first time being at this restaurant. We loved all the dishes that we ordered. The Paella and corn quesadillas were so delicious. Weihan who served us was polite, attentive abd helpful. Will definitely be visiting this place again.
We visited on a Saturday evening. The place was quite crowded but it wasn't hard to book the place. We managed to shift our reservation from 6.30pm to 7.30pm on the day itself. Service wise, waiters and waitresses are quite attentive and friendly. Food wise, we enjoyed most of the food, though there were some misses (of which the desserts were pretty bad). I'd recommend the pork quesadilla and the nachos chips with guacamole. Both dishes came hot, and the quesadilla, piping hot. So it was very enjoyable. My mom and sis had the quesadilla too, and they enjoyed it. The ceviche was okay only. Don't bother to order the steak, nothing special and it was definitely not a sharing size (despite being indicated as something for sharing). If you want to have steak go to isteaks or a proper steakhouse. My dad ordered the salmon, it looked nice, but he didn't comment that it was good, nor did he comment that it was bad. Desserts, we did not enjoy. We ordered the cake and the churros. I did not enjoy the cake and the churros was really oily. It was soaking in oil. Maybe the oil wasn't hot enough when it was fried. Price wise, the food is not cheap. For reference, the steak was $36, for approx 250grams and it came with a side of salad (nothing special) and fries (that just tasted like the usual fast food fries). Would I come back? Yeah, but I'd probably focus and order the nachos chips and quesadilla, and stay away from the steak and desserts.
Sister brought us here for family dinner. For most of us, it was our first time having Peruvian food.
We ordered the cheviche, fish tacos, beef skewers, fried rice, Mexican rice with chicken & churros. We also ordered 3 cocktails.
All the dishes were really flavourful and good! We really like the fish tacos a lot! Never imagined fried fish will go so well with the tortillas and the salad topping!
Fried rice was also another favourite for us. The fried rice had wok hei!
The price maybe a little steep. However, for once in a blue moon eat out with the family, is worth it. Service here was also pretty good and fast. By the way, this place can be pretty crowded, therefore it’s best to make reservations.
Very nice food :) fish was just nice and the skin was crispy. Potato puree was amazing
Went back again on 14/4/25
Ordered the prawn pasta, and the prawns were overcooked? Yet the staff claimed that the prawns were supposed to be soft.. but it was really mushy…
It cost $28 yet there were 3 prawns, 3 clams.
____________
Redeemed a chope voucher during the visit, and there were 5 dishes included in the voucher.
The fish tacos were hands down delicious. Other dishes were also well-prepared. Service here was immaculate, didn’t feel like we were unwelcome despite us taking a longer time to finish our meal.
Thank you for the complimentary dessert, I’m glad we came here for our anniversary dinner.
Would come back again! 🙂✌🏻
Kept on craving for both tacos & nachos, & somemore hard ones. Back to this eatery again, & had their set meal. Thks to the staff who was so kind & considerate to allocate a table near to the rain vortex. An enjoyable moment with its surrounding & delicious food to munch with 😋
Good service and a stunning view of the waterfall.
Service: The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring our needs were met promptly and efficiently. Their helpful recommendations and local insights added to the overall experience.
View: The waterfall was a breathtaking sight, cascading down from a great height and creating a mist that cooled the air.
Great food, good service. We had their pork mariachi, nachos, and chicken skewers. That was more than enough to feed the two of us.
Nachos was a little on the oily side, but crunchy and their dip was delicious. The pork mariachi was tender and juicy. The beans / corn that it came with provided more mushy texture that tasted great. Honestly, the pork is more than enough for most people. You can even share it with a side for two pax.
Food came fast, though, we did come at a later hour, and service was excellent. Staff were friendly. If you sat at the counter inside, you'll have views of the waterfall.
Overall, a great place to eat at.
Ceviche packs a flavour and texture.
Different from the prev review photo that I've seen.
the fish was properly cook. not too much, not to less.
service took a while to refill our water, please take note, they charge for tap water here.
Excellent food and service, but small portions and noisy restaurant.
Thoroughly enjoyed every dish that we ordered. Chef was also good to put chilli on the side so that the kids could dig in too:
- Salmon appetizer - amazing and the crunch quinoa gave it a great kick
- Seafood paella - delicious but do not expect a normal big sized paella for sharing. The portion is barely enough for half a person.
- Barramundi fish stew - Good flavours but again too little gravy to accompany the garlic rice and bread we ordered
- Churros - Tasty and the perfect crunch. But again, tiny portion of churros. Thankfully the ice cream scoop was generous
It was a packed restaurant for a Saturday. Had a reservation for 5 pax and were given a table for 4. Luckily two of us were kids but it was still a squeeze. Table next to us had three adults squashed around a small table. It was extremely noisy in the restaurant, something in the acoustics kept all the noise in so it was getting painful for the ears.
The food was great and I would return but during a less crowded time.
It has been 1 years since I last had my lunch here at Tonito. Their menu has changed quite a bit that now includes a bit of Spanish food as well. I prefer their previous menu because it offers more authentic Latin American cuisine. Their taco flavor is still good, dessert offering no long interesting.
Excellent place to find authentic Latin American food. The Mexican Quesadillas is the best and their sausage is very good as well.
Great food and drinks. Lovely ambiance with a good view of the waterfall. Favorites: fish tacos and beef quesadilla. Super super good! Staff are very nice too so amazing service as well.
Went to this place as it was one of the lesser crowded place during weekends and you can get a seat right away with a fantastic view of the jewel falls.
Always wanted to try the Cuban sandwich. But quite disappointing with its filling. Only the bread is commendable. The rest of the food such as Fajitas were good. The portions are quite small compared to the price paid, but at least the place has a wonderful view and cozy atmosphere l. Service is good. Oh and there was a 20% discount over the weekend too.
Our family frequents Tonito and it had been awhile since we came back, and the menu has since changed! We miss the old food options but the updated food is great nonetheless. These were 2 of the dishes we ordered and not only did they look good, they tasted good as well. The portions were also good.
One of our favourites is the fish quesadilla and it was no longer on the menu but they were nice enough to let us order it as regular guests! Very thankful because it’s really one of the highlights.
Friendly atmosphere with cheerful staff. Child friendly too with kids menu and also coloring pencils for the kids paper menu. Reasonably priced, with quality above average. Ask for specials of the day which are not on menu- some hits and misses. Ceviche was alright. Tried the usual of tortillas with fish, pork quesadillas, fish stew and soft shell crab.
Service was excellent, Manager May was really customer oriented and centric. Food was awesome and quick. Tad bit pricey but worth it
Fantastic food! Patient service from Vivi who took time to go through the entire menu and provided her recommendations to us! And a complimentary birthday cake too. :)
Thank you weihan for serving us and recommending food to us. I love the prawn pasta, arroz con mariscos and fish tacos. Its so delicious. Nice location and ambience. Weihan is quick to serve and answer our questions too & he also ask if we got dietary issues
We (Group of 4) were given a table near the jewel waterfall. Sky, our attendant, gave us good recommendations and was super detailed with our needs. We have a great time here and we will def come back again!
A busy Mexican restaurant within Jewel. Food was served fast, and the Mexican soul was within. Flavourful dishes! We especially liked the fish skewers which had really tender fish meat, as well as the beef quesadillas. The front of house could be faster and more attentive.
Amazing food, super fresh ingredients that are made as you order. The view from the outdoor seating onto the waterfall is an absolute must if you come here. Prices are very good and you get really good portions. Staff are super friendly, welcoming and happy. Sparkling water is only $2 per glass with unlimited refills which is awesome. We only came here for a snack and got the Nachos Grande and Calamari. Both filled the two of us up nicely. Highly recommended.
First time trying Mexican food. Now I'm hooked. Mains are around $30, sides $15-$20. There's also a Burple set meal for 2 pax for $88++
The restaurant has a great view of the “waterfall” and the ambience is perfect for a date😀
We ordered Aaroz con pollo (chicken meat with Mexican rice) and Argentinian prawn pasta, honestly, both dishes were deliciously! The Chicken was well marinated and the prawns were fresh!
I will definitely recommend this place(:
Try to avoid the peak periods(especially on weekends) because they’re always super crowded and fully booked! We loved the food so much that coming back the 2nd time, we ordered the exact same things. Fish tacos: the soft tortillas are just the right thickness and paired really well with the fried fish & relish. Too add more dimension to this fish, do ask for the spicy red & green sauces. Beef quesadillas were really rich, indulgent and filling. We also liked the esquites (corn) that we got the first time. Churros were light and great! You can give the ceviche a miss, its just dominated by a very ordinary tomato & lime flavor.
Had a really nice lunch here. Pei Min, whom served our table, was extremely helpful and gave great recommendations. Had the Chicken Quesadilla, Arroz Con Pollo, Sudado Pescado (asked for a half portion of sweet potato to pair) and the Ceviche (loved the tanginess and freshness of the salad!). Coffee at the end was surprisingly good as well.
food is good, service is efficient, paella was a little smaller than expected. however, rest of the dishes we got such as the quesadillas, the chorizo with fries and the soft shell crab were a good sharing size.
The atmosphere could use some work as it's pretty loud and feels more like a hawker centre in its general vibe rather than a legit restaurant. The prices are also a little high but overall the food was solid.
The seafood paella wasn't super mindblowing, it was just Good. The rice was a little dry but with the lemon and the sauce at the table I enjoyed it.
The rice with duck was amazing, the meat was so tender it fell off the bone and the onions were an excellent touch to keep you from getting bored with every bite.
The fish tacos were good, the fish pieces were fried beautifully and the batter was light and crispy. However for that price, I've still had better.
I don't recommend their quesadillas. It tasted so painfully generic. Globs of cheese and no unique flavour. I might recommend it for people with kids or picky eaters, but if you're eating here to see what Latin American flavour they have to offer you'd be doing yourself a disservice by ordering a quesadilla. The equivalent of eating at a fancy restaurant and ordering plain white rice. It's good, but it's what you'd expect out of any quesadilla anywhere.
All in all, I wouldn't really recommend this place for someone who actually wants to go out of their way and treat someone for anything special, unless you're already in Jewel and your plans are centred around eating while enjoying the view.
The food here was quite good, though it was a bit on the pricier side. You get a view of the indoor waterfall while dining though.
The pork tacos were and chicken quesadilla were very generously filled with well-seasoned meats and accompanied by a tangy and punchy salsa.
The Mexican ceviche had a bit too much lime for my liking, making it just a tad too strong and overpowering some of the lighter seafood flavours. But, if you like your salsas strong, you'll definitely like this.
This is a repeat visit as we remember the food was good.
This time we ordered Pork Quesadilla, Fish Tacos & Paella De Gambas again & also tried the Tiradito Nikkei & Argentinian Prawn Pasta.
The Pork Quesadilla, Fish Tacos & Paella De Gambas were consistently flavorful & tasty yummy :)
I like the crispy quinoa from the Tiradito Nikkei but it’s overall abit salty. Pasta wasn’t bad but just not as unique as the Pork Quesadilla & Fish Tacos.
Kids meals available. 6yo finished her food happily & that makes us happy.
Service is not bad too :)
Food was great! Tried the fish tacos, squid rice and pork quesdiella, very flavourful and well seasoned. Definitely one of the best Mexican food I have tried. But the cocktail of the day not was very good. Prices on the high end and charge 1.20per person for tap water.
Amazing staff and great sercice.we enjoyed our brunch here.
Came here on a weekday evening and it wasn't too crowded. We had two quesadillas, one pork and one beef - and the pork was better by bounds. The meat was flavourful and the cheese was generously served; the pineapple salsa was very fresh and cut through the savoury flavours well! The beef one was unfortunately more fatty than meaty, and it lacked the flavour I was expecting.
Overall the food was good, I only wish the portions were slightly larger. It left me still wanting after the meal, and a larger serving size would have helped.
One thing I must point out is the service, which was absolutely fantastic. That was the highlight of my visit - the staff were extremely attentive and friendly, served with cheer and were very personable. I appreciate this, please recognise your staff for the job well done!
All the food that we ordered were really good! The staff were also very attentive and friendly! The beautiful view of the Rain Vortex is a bonus 🤩 Highly recommend this place!! 👍🏻
Delightful flavorful food. Quick and attentive service. Great vibes, I guess the background music has a large part to play
Excellent choice for Latin American food, situated in Changi. The service is very friendly, and prompt.
If you are lucky, you may be seated on a table with a view of the HSBC vortex.
Ordered the Fichas Locas as starters - thinly sliced cassava chips with chamoy sauce and cotija cheese. A sprinkling of Chilean habanero sauce elevates the taste.
After this, opted for the chicken quesadillas. Great taste, the fillings were soft and full of flavour. My dad, who doesn’t eat much chicken said it tastes great!
Finally, went for the Paella de Champinones. Mushroom infused rice served with mixed vegetables, chickpeas and garlic aioli. Felt this was ok, and slightly overpriced for the quantity. However, it did end up filling us.
Went there on a Friday evening and was full house, but did not have to wait very long for a table for 2 pax. Staff were friendly and attentive to refilling our drinks. Food was really great as well! Ordered the Sudadi Pescado and it was really good 😋
Not one to review but this place is worth its recommendation salt. We used the Burpple app for a set meal, and what a set it was! Excellent food in generous portions especially the mains, namely The Pork Jawl rice and seafood Padano. The Quesadillas were tasty and authentic. And the backdrop of the Jewel fountain topped off a fantastic dining experience.
Superb ambience and servers were super friendly and attentive!
Meals were good and the servers’ recommendation were super spot on.
Would recommend others to dine here!
Tonito, from Mexico to Guatemala. The influence of Spanish and the Caribbean down to individual central and South American region's distinctive taste. Even Asian influenced dishes are available here too. Of course you have your usual quesadillas, burritos and much much more!
This place will have you craving for more. From zesty citrus and raspberry flavoured cold refreshing appetisers in raw seafood to cheesy flavourful tender pulled beef tacos.
I like how the combination of appetisers and mains tickles both ends of your taste buds.
Oh and don't be afraid of using your hands and getting messy. The serviettes are thick and big enough to wipe clean your flavour infused hands.
Visited Singapore for 4 days; had about 8-9 meals at restaurants with >4-star rating. Everything was disappointing EXCEPT TONITO!
Tonito was a delight. The staff were really friendly too. Restaurant has an okay view of The Rain Vortex.
Ordered a few items; all delicious but the Arroz Conchampinones (mushroom risotto) was the star - one of the best risottos I've had.
Great Mexican food. Good for group gathering where you can try out and share the different dishes. Latino seafood and fish tacos are very good. Beef quesadilla is good too. The bill can be a little expensive though.
The food and ambience were good. The services of the staff was good too, especially, Hwee Na. She noticed that we were unsure of the various choices of set lunch mains based on description only. She came over to our table and showed us photos of the various mains. Keep up the good work!
Great ambience, good food (except for dessert, which was more of a soaked cake & not what we're used to), cool music, beautiful view of fountain. Used Burpple voucher. 2nd time back. Value for money.
Really tasty food, i was pleasantly surprised as i personally haven’t found a mexican place in SG that’s this delicious.
Chicken queso was perfectly cheesy, Arroz con pollo had perfectly seared chicken and super creamy mexican rice (almost like risotto, but less heavy) and the churros were light / not too oily.
They have happy hour / 1-1 cocktails too!
Service was superb, all staff were attentive and friendly - yes Shafiq you were great hahhaa
Overall, the food and service experience was superb and i’ll be happy to come back again.
Excellent food, excellent service, excellent views.
This is one of the best places to dine in jewel, take it from someone who’s been to jewel every weekend since it opened and tried a different dining option each time.
good service, good views as it’s facing the fountain of jewel. but food is quite expensive & portion is small. the fried rice was quite sour but after awhile it’s still not bad. the spaghetti has a very strong beef taste which i personally dislike but overall taste of the spaghetti is okay. we had a corn soup which i would say is the best of the three.
Authentic stuff, zoomed into the slow cook signatures - seafood paella and braised pork stew - instead of the typical taco options. Superb flavors. Will be back for more!
Enjoyed the food. More importantly, the place gad a great atmosphere. We were well taken care by BLAKE who helped make my special birthday even more special.
Head chef kelvin, you did a pretty good job bringing Latin american food over..
Hope to try out the other dishes soon!!
Most items on menu are excellent! Don't forget the pork ribs & latin American style pasta! Menu changed with a new management in place
Great food with an amazing view. Had their beef and fish tacos, very yummy but the portions could be small for big eaters. Staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Will return if at Jewel again!
Nice ambience with friendly staff, the food portions are tapas sized. Food to reccomend would be the fried eggplant and the prawn dip.
Nice chicken burger with guacamole. Love their thick potato fries..overall tasty and not overly salty nor oily. Good if they can have some greens on the side. Just disappointed that they charge $2 for a cup of hot water instead of offering it complimentary since I also ordered an orange juice.
Chance upon Tonito’s while browsing Burpple App and decided to give it a try. wow, the food here’s amazing, nothing to fault for both mains and quesadillas! Will be back!
Very nice service. Food was great as well. Will definitely come back again
Wonderful dining experience and good food! Thanks to the excellent service from Wei Han and Arvi!
Friendly service staff, beautiful scenery, you can enjoy the rain vortex
tasty
I randomly popped into a store for a meeting nearby. I didn’t expect it to be pretty good? ?
Great service and experience and a free birthday dessert❤️Rina&Pei Min
Food was tasty, portions were rather small for the price, food came quickly
