Reviews of Victory Boat Noodle Cafe
Victory Boat Noodle Cafe pushes flavour boundaries, cranking up the flavour intensity to eleven. The Boat Noodle's broth, however, was too sweet and herbaceous for my taste; a lighter hand with the star anise and cinnamon, plus a piping hot broth, could significantly improve it. On the other hand, the Tom Yum Noodle's broth was victorious—its sweet and sour notes hit hard and invigorate the palate like a surprise encounter with a ladyboy.
The Vermicelli Seafood Salad fell short in certain flavour aspects, but a splash of fish sauce on the side of the table salvaged it. The Red Ruby dessert was a standout with generous water chestnut chunks in rose syrup and a coconut broth. Initially too sweet, but once the ice melted, it reached a perfect balance.
Loved this hole in the wall joint. Flavours were authentic and price points are reasonable. Moo ping was super flavourful. The tom yum minced pork noodles were packed with herbs flavours and just the right amount of spice. Gave a kick but not to the point of discomfort.
My only gripe was that the red ruby tasted like they put store bought strawberry milk in it. The 4 bucks price tag is a little steep.
Recommended! Have been here a few times.
Service was great, food was not bad. Got the thai basil rice and it was decent for $6.50, though there wasn't any egg. Portion was just right!
It tasted like minced pork + rice, and sure that's what Thai Basil Rice is made up of, but something was lacking in flavour. We've also tried the new omelette rice series and it was pretty okay too.
I remember the tom yum noodles & grilled pork rice were quite good so I would recommend those instead.
You can now order through their QR code menu!
Edit: Will definitely be back! Do give them a try, owners seem really nice :)

Ordered a clear tomyum seafood noodle soup ($8.90) and I was surprised. The soup tasted great and the noodles even had an egg which was unique and I love it. Tummy felt happy as it wasn't too spicy nor greasy. Went on a weekday afternoon 2+pm and the shop was rather empty. Will come back again to try the other dishes!
First time eating boat noodles in my life and this was a good first experience! The tom yum pork noodles is really delicious. It is not too spicy and the portion matches the price.
Would come back to eat together again.
The broth was thick and tasty, noodles were done just right.
It can get very crowded during peak hours.
Nice cosy restaurant offering affordable boat noodle. I ordered boat noodle beef. Flavorful soup and meat is soft and noodle is delicious.
Good food, unexpectedly
Beef boat noodles better than I expected, soup broth is thick and tastes of herbs and spices,
The moo ping (big pork satay the best way to describe it) tasty too, sweet and savoury, comes with some Thai sauce I cannot describe.
Only mango salad I felt was on the small side, one person could finish, not for sharing! Maybe because the mango was sweet and tart the way I like it.
Get seats outside instead of inside, cooler and better ventilated. That's the one missing star here from atmosphere.
Not sure why they have a low review on average. It’s an unassuming small store tucked away at the back corner of beauty world’s first floor. I have been here several times and it’s always so good. Service is fast and friendly. Their star dish contains a rich flavorful broth with chewy smooth thai rice noodles. You can even ask for extra broth! The tom yum is equally rich, well seasoned (lots of herbs) and had lots of seafood including 2 large mussels. Pork collar salad was plentiful and large. It is seasoned with mint, onions and tamarind. It’s great for sharing. Authentic seasoning, I really like the Thai chili sauces. They have a well-brewed Thai milk GREEN tea and their desserts are excellent too.
Very average Thai food. The tomyum soup was too sweet for my liking, the portion of noodles was too small, and the chicken was odd parts that didn't taste good. The dry version with minced pork was also not flavourful. A small bowl of vegetables cost $3 and it was under-seasoned (we had to add more fish sauce for it to taste decent). Unfortunately, I will not revisit for the tomyum, but might try their rice dishes that looked much better.
I always pass by this shop but this is first attempt trying Thai boat noodle at this shop. Really surprise the service which is clean and fast, the quality of food which is delicious with generous potion and reasonable price. Although shop is small, the menu has enough varieties of thai dishes.
Mar 2022. Came here for a hair cut and was disappointed by the food centre closure.
Ventured into this eatery and was rewarded with the Thai hospitality.
I ordered the pork lunch set at $7.90. The meat was tender and flavourful. The set came with ice milk tea which was a tad too sweet. It would be perfect otherwise.
Was looking for a quick meal after gym. Beef boat noodle was flavourful and the right amount of salty umami flavour.
I requested for less noodle and more vegetables (was looking out for my weight) and they delivered! Thank you so much!
The soup was not super oily; I slurped it to its last drop.
Service was fast and friendly.
The boat noodle soup taste is pretty strong, can’t compare to the original Thai version but good try. The green curry is average however the meat is tender and there is eggplant in it. The Kang Kong is cut into small pieces making it easy to eat, they added some fried garlic which makes it nicer even if it is boiled.
The Thai ice milk tea was good. Taste was just nice.
Used to get good boat noodles but not sure what happened recently. My beef boat noodles came with super tough and thick beef slices that I couldn’t even bite apart.
Not a bad place to have boat noodles in beauty world. Nice and simple setup.
Staff was friendly and service was pretty fast.
So far my experience with the food was good. Everything tasted as it should. The portions are reasonable in size.
While the boat noodles is not bad, the soup is filled with flavour, I find that the portion is not really filling at 5$. Think I would need two bowls in order to feel full.
Seating space is also quite limited, only around 5 to 6 tables are available, and also expected better from their Thai milk tea, which was too diluted for my liking. Tuk Tuk Cha or Nakhon for example have way better milk teas.
Still, for an outlet in Beauty World the place is not entirely bad but it's not one of the better Thai places out there.
I love their noodles! Their noodle has nice fragrant herbal flavor. The papaya salad tastes like from northeastern Thai with flavor of fish sauce but could be very spicy. It's definitely a highly recommended place for authentic Thai food.
We often go to Beauty world hawker at the 4th floor. But this time we try this Thai stall because it's always crowded. I try Boat Noodle Beef $6.9. The gravy is thick and brown from beef juice. It's good. We see many people order omelette rice, we will try it next time.
Great place! I tried the Thai Boat Noodle (Pork) the soup and the meat was worth the money $6 and the Thai ice tea to top it off!
A must try if you are near the area! Very user friendly when it comes to paying!
I was so hungry I forgot to take a photo!
Had the Beef Boat Noodles, Papaya Salad, Moo Ping + Blue Pea with Lime Drink. Simply awesome! The soup was amazing, Moo Ping tasted like it came right outta Thailand! 😎 note is the Papaya Salad is not spicy and the Blue Pea drink is not sweet.
Nevertheless, the meal was nice, hot and amazingly good! Well done guys!
Their tom yum boat noodle was so good.. Silky clear translucent noodle, nice gooey egg, not too spicy. Simply perfect. Cost $6.5 a bowl and they have an ongoing set lunch promotion. Will surely come back again
Casual dining with nice friendly service. A good choice for a quick bite when passing by. The boat noodle broth was abit light on taste, so help yourself to some chilli beside the cashier to add some oomph to it :D
Had beef noodles & tom yam minced pork noodle dry. Love it! The portion could have been slightly bigger though. Enjoy it!
Quite worth the money spent. $7.90 for boat noodles, dessert and a drink! It is cramped, however it wasnt uncomfortable. Taste of noodles was nice, i quite enjoyed it!
Food was quite good and I was served quite quickly. Only problem is that the seating is quite limited so might have to wait for seats during peak hours.
Quality beef boat noodles soup. Rich herbal beef stock infused right into the noodles. ♡♡♡
Love the tasty food and refreshing lemongrass beverage at Victory. Great service staff. Friendly and polite. A must try!
I ordered the Boat Noodle Pork and I’m very impressed with the soup as it had a very strong and concentrated flavour. I tried the boat noodles in Bangkok but it did not match up to this. For $6, I think it is quite value for money. The noodles, pork and pork balls are average. The pork slices were pleasantly tender. The best part of the dish is the soup. I will come back!
Look no further for authentic Thai food. Victory Boat Noodles is the place. The food and Noodles is nice, price is very affordable. Service is ok but fast. The place is abit rundown but it doesn't affect the taste, the mood.
Aroi authentic Thai food. They are known for their boat noodle.
Trusty thai boat noodle - beef or pork, immensely tender slices. My go-to place in this Bukit Timah area in recent years and is consistent. Hole-in-wall , brisk service. Ask for the Thai chilli flakes to amp up the heat . My other fav is the braised pork side dish. Super tender.
Both dishes are as authentic as the back alley hawkers in BKK as you can get (read : taste wise and portion wise just SGD prices & I’d happily pay for extra noodles). It’s a very unassuming outlet and surprised they only have 3++ stars like others have mentioned. Glad to know they have grown with another outlet. Hope the taste remains as great !
I tried the beef boat noodles during lunchtime. It was surprisingly flavourful and at a reasonable price too. Not the biggest serving size but if you go during lunchtime, you can get a value set at $7.90. Set includes: choice of main, a small bowl of dessert and a drink of choice (small cup)
I had the set lunch of Tom yum noodles with Thai milk tea and burbur hitam. Tom yum was had a mix of spicy and sweet. Pork was easy to eat. Thai milk tea had the right level of sweet. Burbur hitam was really good. Definitely a must try.
As authentic boat noodle that you can get in Singapore, always enjoy my visits to this restaurant, savouring every bite of each dish. One of the best Thai milk tea I can find here in Singapore too
Good value for money. $5 for baby kailan. Would return.
small unique thai food store...i would say...can try n eat if u r nearby...
Shop has been there for almost 7 years already. If you’re looking for a no place to enjoy some no frills and cheap home cook thai food then here’s the place to go.
Lovely affordable place to dine in at!
Good boat noodle. Portion abit too little
Honestly one of the best boat noodles I’ve had in SG!
Good Thai food. Taste is authentic, however portion is small.
Amazing place for Thai food!
Great portions for an affordable price 🤩
Great Thai food, the flavor is very authentic, the Thai lady staffs are very nice as well.
I had the braised pork rice. Very tasty, fatty
Great taste of beef boat noodle with affordable price
