Reviews of Xiao Mei Ban Mian (Woodlands) 小妹板面
I didn't know they have a brunch at woodlands. I only saw it at yishun at Ms Tan Chiak blog. I was looking out for food at the coffeeshop and by chance saw the stall.
I would said the food was surprising delicious. The serving was consider huge and the ingredients was quite generous. Actually I was not hungry as I have some dessert not long ago. But the sauce was very appetising The pork was very tender and well cooked. It quite chewy and the pork ball were very bouncy.
Last of all I would like to say that the front counter service staff was very friendly and nice to tell me more about the food. I would like love to go back again.
Love their Signature Bee Hoon with its garlic oil. Yum. They put real mince meat for the meat ball, and they add one egg in the soup!! The Pork Belly You Mian is also okay. Avoid rush hour time unless you have 20 min to burn waiting. They need more stove and staffs to support the surge.
It is rather unique they have pork belly ban mian. The ban mian didn't taste much different from other stores. The noodles are chewy. I wasn't exactly a fan of them using disposable for dine in. Overall, decent experience.
I managed to try Xiao mei signature kyay oo (Dried vermicelli with meat balls and pig organs). It is very delicious with fresh meat and pig organs are clean and tasty. The shop’s hygiene standard and customer service are superb. I highly recommend u all to give this a try when you are at Woodlands. ❤️
I have been their regular customer since the day it opened. Delicious food, great customer service and the most important thing is they really take serious about customers feedback. Hope they will introduce more noodle related Myanmar food in the near future 🙏🏼
Tasted really average to me despite the fact that I waited 30 mins for this. This was probably the longest wait I had for a ban mian noodle. Soup was almost bland but may appeal to those on a low sodium diet. I saw a lot of neighbourhood aunties queueing up. So maybe this appeals to their taste buds.
Tried the pork belly ban mian at this myanmar noodle shop.
Taste not bad but slightly pricy. Will try the other noodles next time
Burmese Kyay Oo with lots of meat and portion is quite nice for a person.
I love it so much as a first time eater of Kyay Oo (Dry).
I like it ☺️, lots of meat and egg was below the noodle. Will try their other food options next visit
Had the dry you mian and the tomyum ban mian. Not bad, but not mind-blowing. The chilli sauces were quite good though. Tomyum was fair, not much tomyum taste though. Add the sour chilli sauce to the dry you mian to up the level of umami and shiokness. Soup was fair, could have been more tasty. The guotie was run of the mill, but again, the chilli sauce definitely kicked it up a notch. Overall, would consider coming back as it is nearby and probably one of the better ban mians in the area.
Tried the noodles, expensive for the Myanmar special beehoon. Not very good interns of quality on the broth and ingredients. Sorry have to be honest.
Very delicious meal balls
Love the dry banmian and tomyum banmian!!!!
Very average Mee. Soup is ok but noodles very average
I only eat the Signature dish. Not something to die for.
Come and try.. 👍
