Good and bright place! The staffs are friendly. Had a great meal here. The salmon sashimi is so fresh! Pork katsu is so yummy too. Definitely a plc to go to if u need both of 2 world, onkei and keisedon! Gyoza also v yummy, spicy drumlet is good too!
Am impromptu lunch with my 2 princesses. We had this craving for Tonkatsu for a while and decided to settle it off nearby our place. Now I must say it might look like a small place but the food is really good; the girls sang praises throughout the whole makan time. The deep fried oysters are fresh and juicy !!!! Extremely soft in the inside and crispy on the outside !!! The shrimps are QQ and tangy !!! The fillet cut meat is juicy and the cheese is just outrageously generous !!! We loved the brown rice combination with our onsen egg !!! We will be back for more again !!!
Free flow of rice, soup, salad. The fried oyster was very fresh, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
Fried prawn and tonkatsu were nice, crispy and not oily. But I find the tonkatsu a bit dry. The fish and chicken version were not bad too. Very filling.
Only 1 staff serving everyone during that lunch time we went so have a wait a while.
Burpple have 1 for 1 deals.
New kid on the block for a highly competitive location. Location wise it really tuck at a corner . If you are not going to that part of the mall you virtually would not find it. Tonkastu is really average given the blooming of good katsu restaurant here . Tonjuru is not up to my standard. Perhaps more miso paste could be use to up the complexity of favour . The only plus point I'm sold to go in is serving onsen eggs . Anyone sell me onsen eggs on short grain rice to dip on my tonkastu can take my money anyday.
Very good. Free flow miso soup, salad and pickles for the tonkatsu set.
The miso soup is v high quality- the miso is deeper in colour than the usual and filled with ingredients (pork, carrot, raddish, konyaku and onions).
The tonkatsu set was delightful. Miso sauce has a rich flavour and the tonkatsu itself has good quality panko + moist and soft + good meat to fat ratio. Also it tasted not oily.
$19.90+ for this is so worth it. Would be easily $25-30+ in other restaurants.
The burpple set meal is rly value for money as well.
Popped in for a quick lunch here last Tues at about 2pm.
Was the only diner there, but service was fast, impeccable and Food was DELICIOUS.
Had ordered an additional onsen egg, but didn’t have time to take advantage of the Free Flow Rice, Soup, Cabbage and Sauces—will definitely be visiting again and will definitely take advantage of it then!!
Quite nice! Price was around 20+ per person which didn't make it the cheapest for tonkatsu but they provide free flow rice, soup, salad and sauce. The soup is pretty good - not just the typical miso, this one has meat and some other ingredients in it. Also happy to have the free flow salad because, it makes an otherwise unhealthy (fried) meal feel a lot healthier😅 will return when I'm craving for tonkatsu!
Burpple set
We have no idea why it’s empty. The food and soup is so nice, and freeflow soup too.
Pork is delicious. The sets are not the cheaper ones in town but food is above average definitely. Sides are free flow. The place does not close from 2 to 5pm so it is convenient for those who want late lunch. Chef and service staff are happy people. Neat and clean place. Mode of payment does not include credit card though.
Average tonkatsu for slightly above average prices. You get a good portion at least. Little to no service, which is standard but the people here really seem to want to avoid contact with the customers as much as possible. If you're craving tonkatsu it will do but go into the mall, head to the basement and there's better options.
Seating area is small as well. Feels a little cramped.
Rather nice tonkatsu, unlimited refill for soup
