Narelle is an excellent coach. She has a well developed structure to explain vocal techniques. She is always there if you need vocal advices. She has a lot of experience and able to tailor vocal exercises based on her students' needs. Enjoyed analysing the different vocal techniques used in chinese pop songs and even able to apply it in Karaoke.

I’m very grateful to be able to find out about Narelle’s professional vocal lessons. When I found out about Narelle, it was just 5 days before the 1st DSA audition for my child. Luckily Narelle managed to squeeze some time for my child for last minute crash course. To summarize, these are some things which I find very helpful 1. recordings of the key points in the lesson for my child to revise at home 2. Highlighting the weakness of my child to work on 3. Guide my child on some things that may be tested in the audition based on her experience 4. Practice the chosen song with my child Thank you Narelle! Narelle is a very passionate and talented vocal teacher. Although I’m not a vocal student, I had been there for a music jamming session and during that short period of time she gave me some good tips on how to improve the vocals. She is one of the sincere vocalist that I have met in my life.

Way overdue review. During my wedding in December last year (2019), I approached Narelle with the idea of singing for my wife as part of the dinner. Work was hectic during that period for me as it was nearing year end, which led to a very tight timeline till the actual day of the wedding. When I first met her, I noticed she had a very well setup and fully equipped studio. She was patient and understood that I had really wanted to perform a song for my wife. Instead of turning me away, with her in-depth knowledge of music and vocalics, she was able to select one of the songs I had in mind, re-tune it to suit my vocal range, and established a realistic timeline for me to meet my objective. What I really appreciated about the whole process was that she simplified the approach for me along the way. This allowed me the opportunity to focus on each verse as I practiced and not be overwhelmed by the whole song. It worked great for me as I had no prior formal training in singing. We managed to record the whole song over a few sessions and I used that opportunity to practice each verse. Narelle’s approach of recording the track was really efficient as it allowed me to listen and practice continuously at my convenience before the day of the wedding as well. On the actual day, Narelle helped me with my rehearsal as well. I rehearsed it live and she gave me final pointers which helped calm my nerves and gave me that added boost of confidence. Needless to say, the actual performance went well, my wife loved the performance. I can’t thank Narelle enough for helping me achieve this on the most important day of my life. To all who are uncertain about singing and feel doubtful about your abilities or even to those whom want to improve their singing, I would totally recommend Narelle Ong Vocal Studio. You’ll realise that singing can be so enjoyable and simple. Thank you Narelle!
