M. W. W.Originally named RSS Panglima (RSS standing for Republic of Singapore Ship), this vessel's name was subsequently transferred to the School of Naval Training. Later, it became known as RSS Panglima-Changi Naval Training Base (CNTB). The CNTB was eventually renamed the Institute of Maritime Operations & Systems (IMOS) and later, on 12 July 2013, it was rebranded as the Naval Military Experts Institute (NMI). Despite these changes, it is still commonly referred to as RSS Panglima.
