Can be a bit fast paced if not tech savvy, but their lessons are recorded and accessible via their Learning Management System. So you can find time to go back to the content and review at your own pace. Expect an assignment one week from the end of the workshop. A very safe environment to get an broad overview/introduction to Data Analytics.

Instructor was very knowledgable about the subject, but curriculum assumes that learners have substantial background in stats, math, or other programming languages. Concepts need to be fleshed out more so they can be understood better. Perhaps more time is needed per session or more sessions in total, otherwise there is a time crunch for all the many things to be covered.

Just attended the workshop and other than the PCA question, the instructor has been able to give me a very satisfactory answer. Likely to sign up for the course. As for the workshop, I understand it lasts just 1 hour but personally I feel that the content can be diverse a bit in a sense where basic programming (say Regression) can be covered so that aspiring data analysts can have an idea what to expect.

Did two courses at the same time, UX and digital marketing, and these are my opinions on the course. I didn't take the subsidy as I'm a foreign student, but I figured I purchase the course in full for both anyways. In hindsight, what I learned from both courses is good. I favored the UX UI course over the digital marketing course not only because of my background as a design student, but because of the way that Zack taught the class. Despite it being morning, it was really engaging especially w the hands on activities on Miro and Figma. I genuinely enjoyed the class and it served as a good foundation for UX UI. Digital marketing was a good class too, but the teaching style for it isn't exactly suited for me personally. I think what made Zack's class great was how he taught us the concepts and foundations beforehand, only after which we would get really hands on with the projects. Flame does so as well, but she also tries to make us guess the answers before we actually learn theories for marketing. While I can understand the teaching method for so, I found that I understood more after forming a more solid foundation then purely trying to guess the answers. I think what worked as well that helped enriched my learning was the breakout rooms for the two courses. I found that I was more likely to actively communicate with my groupmate if the breakout room itself was smaller (1 to 1), as there would be more opportunity for active learning here as well. In bigger rooms, especially with quieter individuals, it'd be harder for active communication (even more so if we're a bit shaky with the theories and foundation). Although as I'm writing this I realise that some individuals themselves can overpower the conversation and not leave much room for yourself to speak up (it varies case by case). There are opportunities to ask questions, but I realised that I was more likely to ask if the questions weren't going to disrupt the flow of the class. I was more likely to ask questions in the breakout rooms itself. I also realised that I was more likely to ask questions if the breakout rooms were smaller, as there was less of a chance to disrupt other people's learning. If the subsidy is there, I think the course is worth it. I realised that the course is more suited to Singaporeans and/or PRs, not necessarily for foreigners like me, purely because of the cost. I was only able to take the course because my parents were generous enough to sponsor it. Would I take the other courses offered? Maybe, only because I'm not too sure about the teaching style of other classes. I would need a taster of how the class would work if I were to sign up again, to see if I'm able to learn something in a fun and engaging way. It's a worthwhile experience, you can learn heaps of new info within a small time frame, but the overall experience varies by person imo.

Additionally, the weekly assignments that we worked on in teams helped us with the entire process of the final project. I attended the Feb-Mar UX bootcamp, it's a foundation course that guides me thru whole new UX learning. Lessons have been very interactive. It is definitely a good kick start for a beginner.
