I got to know Ms Jacklyn Liew by chance. I wanted vocal training lessons and searched the web for credible schools or instructors. I sent out numerous requests but only Ms Liew responded to me. Since then, I have been and am still receiving weekly personal vocal training from her as a private student. As a vocal coach, Ms Liew is not only technically very competent and knowledgeable but extremely updated with the latest singing techniques. She is also exceptionally perceptive and can immediately identify and correct flaws a student makes. Her dedication to bringing the best out of a student is remarkable in that she leaves no stone unturned to ensure her student attains a training objective. Whilst maintaining a high standard of training, she amiably dispenses her instructions, making tutorials enjoyable and fulfilling sessions. As a singing enthusiast, I am an avid follower of TVB’s Star Academy 声梦传奇 and 中年好声音 singing competition series, platforms where top-tier vocal trainers/music producers candidly commented on the performance standards of participants. I must say that during my year-long training with Ms Liew, I realized that her training directions and focus are much aligned with the expectations of these music professionals. My passion for singing is much reinforced by Ms Liew’s coaching for she can demonstrate student improvement objectively. I will continue to take lessons from Ms Liew as the destination of one’s learning journey is decided by one’s expectations. I will also not hesitate to recommend Ms Liew to anyone who has the desire to learn singing for leisure or performance. Dr Kevin Tang
