Reviews of The Midtown
This is rather an unique mall and I only see such layout in King Albert Park. Not sure the developer are the same. The entire place is not fully taken up but there are plenty of unique restaurants here. I have taken the Curry and my friend have tried the Korean food and so far the comments are above average. The store here has an unique setting. A ground floor that is usually the kitchen and the counter and the top floor that is the dining area. If you have old folks or friends that has difficulties climbing up and down stair. It is not an ideal place to visit. There are also many education centre there and numbers of hair salon. There is a notable basement supermarket and the price is a little bit higher than the supermarket nearby but if you want to avoid the crowd and easy shopping. It is not a bad spot
This mall is split into 2 sections of shops. We thought we have finished shopping after seeing so many eatery, enrichment, mobile shop, massage and retail. Then still got another section. Then still got 2nd floor. Very clean and brightly lit.
Decent neighbourhood mall. Houses a supermarket at the basement level with limited but good options. The mall chiefly has children's educational services , martial arts academies, small eateries, a children's clinic, a few salons, a cake shop, etc. Also has condos on the top floors. Many store lots are still up for rent. Might be a nice little joint once completely occupied.
The place is pretty quiet, as only a few shops are open (and mainly are cafes) so not much crowd will go into The Midtown. But the food in each cafes are unique and flavourful, so is a good place to have meal.
Years ago, the developer built many tiny duplex units and sold them to unsuspecting individual retail investors. These units have on average tiny sq area of about 50sqm per floor and a staircase in between. The 2nd floor is a duplex unit with high ceilings but constrained by tiny floor area. With such a design, units may be not suitable for all business and were empty for a long time. Recently, likely to be a result in fall in rent, cafes are trying out this place with creative usage of space. I like these cafes and would encourage people to check them out. As for the place itself, it will never be a conventional 'mall' because of the design and ownership structure.
Much better now with edu enrichment service providers plying their trade on the 2nd floor.
2nd floor is now bustling. first floor not doing as well.
Small shopping area that look congested and many of the shops that sell food has limited dining area. There a malay barber located at one of the outside shop.
Nothing much there. A lot of small atas cafe, Berries, children clinic, taekwondo studio, supermarket and misc dunno what. Still had quite a few vacant shops. Not really worth visiting.
Still new place. More shops opening however i was here for my haircut... clean and nice place. Yet to explore when more shops open
It's a commercial/residence building.
Very good location - near MRT and has plenty of amenities nearby
Sharp Learners Tuition & Enrichment Centre is located here. They specialise at:
Phonics
Reading
Primary English
Coem here the corridor looks like some units kena tenanted. Many slippers
Nothing special, got some shops but all of them are small and squeezed together.
Love the choice of ingredients for their Yong Taufoo
And they fry the dry items and separate it
A mall with all kinds of children enrichment classes, hairdressers and other spa businesses.
Nice location to stay calm and peace 🕊️
quiet place, some interesting eateries. mostly salon or tution centre
They are starting to have some really good Japanese food there!
Got nice massage shops,tuition centers
The mall is a vibrant enrichment and tuition hub.
Theres a supermarket at B1and things are fresh.
Nice quiet hideout. Good place to chill
Lot of enrichment class for children.
Ok
Good
Small commercial and residential shopping mall, mainly packaged snack shop/barber and beauty/massage/tutoring.
The business district is very new, with many vacant storefronts, and it may be a little far from the MRT station. There are several unique restaurants and several language centers.
Hougang Mall shopping is convenient
