Reviews of Yue Hwa Chinese Products (Chinatown)
Occupying 6 floors selling Chinese medicine, clothing, art pieces, cheongsum, etc. Dried goods some are pricey, but you get some interesting varieties unavailable in regular supermarkets.
Chinese and other Asian confectionery, groceries found at level 4. Was here longer as browsing through lots of nostalgic confectioneries.
At one end on level 1 is Nanyang Old Coffee cafe with traditional coffee, toast and others. Was packed on a Weekday afternoon.
They have some workshops such as couplet calligraphy in lieu of Chinese Nee Year, thus check out their website.
They renovated recently. The whole departmental store looks revitalised and modern. Loads of China imported food stuff from tea leaves to sauces.... their price are higher than other Chinese supermarkets. Wait for sales to get bargain buys
Went down to Yue Hua Chinatown on 13Sept24 looking for 真武散. I took couple of trips earlier on as it was out of stock for quite awhile. This time I was told the stock won't be coming in any more but Ah Guat offered to check and ask me to leave my contact number. The next day, she called and I was really happy to know that the stock will be coming in on Monday and that she will reserve for me. Thanks Ah Guat for your help as my existing bottle is running low soon, really appreciate your help.

This shopping centre sells mainly china goods but Korean, Malaysian and others merchandise can also be found here. On the top floor, dried food products and sauces are found here.
The staff over the WhatsApp was extremely helpful and friendly - she helped me find a product through WhatsApp. I didn’t even need to head down to any outlets to enquire. Really grateful for the good service!
Lots of choices from Clothings to Accessories to foodstuffs, etc that you cannot get anywhere else except at Yue Hwa. Top floor most crowded, where all the Foodstuffs and Snacks are located!
This place is just humongous for me.There is a lot of things here mostly for Chinese people.5 levels in total snacks and tidbits can be bought at level 4.Clean,cheap but has a lot of useless stuff all over the place.🤨Cashier were nice and friendly.
Friendly, detailed oriented staff. Reminded me I have a coin left on floor. She wears spectacles.
Nice Chinese products. Brand’s not easily found elsewhere
Traditional nanyang coffee cafe... Yummy & affordable food.
Alot of China stuff to buy here. Even hairy crab now. Price about the same, usual price. Nothing cheaper.
Excellent customer service from level 4 staff. If you're looking for chinese wine, you may look for Coddon. He will explain to you the wine categories, taste and price. He's recommendations was good. Now they're having MaoTai promotions for years of 2023 and 2022. Highly recommended.
Went to purchase cheongsum, reasonable prices.
Many herbal, noodles, sauces & chinese pu'er tea from yunnan.
Spent $300/-, can register as VIP member- 10% discount for white tag.
Level 1 - cafe, chinese & korean products, florist corner.
Leveĺ 2 - cheong sum, korean clothing, nice teapots & kitchen wares.
Level 3 - Wedding ceremony clothings.
Level 4 - furnitures
Came here for a walk while waiting. I realised there are a lot of interesting snacks to be bought here! I managed to find spices that can be used ti marinate our meats to taste like how they do it in the restaurant. Purchased two big bags of things, with some interesting Hong Kong or china snacks !
After reading horror stories about how staff are rude or ignore you, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the lady selling cheongsam at level 2 was very friendly, the gentleman at the wooden furniture section at level 4 was also very friendly. I didn't take any photos while looking around. The toilets were clean unlike the neighboring OG building. I did not make a purchase this time but I would like to return again soon.
During our visit to Singapore in March 2019, my wife wanted to check some Chinese export to the Lion City and bumped into this aged lady! This place will be renovated soon and we felt the service was excellent, the merchandise was average, not many new items. The draw card was the friendly attitude of the staff, and very patient during the choice of merhandise!
A building with 4 stories dedicated to selling Chinese goods. A good place to shop for Chinese garments, foodstuffs and produces, Chinese TCM medicines, herbs and tonics, as well as novelty items. They have a good selection of Chinese teas and wines too. Worry about Chinese fakes? For peace of mind, I suggest you pay a bit more and buy your Chinese goods here. The department store opens at 11:30am.
Best place for Chinese products, go to fourth floor for wood works.
Nice building to complete the frame for pictures
There're many different kinds of food which imported from China. If you wanna cook some Chinese cuisine, can find most of the ingredients there. However, in overall the price is a bit more expensive compares to other shops on the street.
Shopped here several times for gifts.
I highly recommend it.
Staff could not be more helpful.
Quality items.
Plenty of interesting chinese food, snacks and products. I think there are having some renovations and revamping of their store. So it is not as organised as before but it is worth a quick visit when you are in Chinatown.
hope they are produced in China hahah
A departmental store that specializes in Chinese goods. Really like browsing the tea pot and tea section. It has a large range of Chinese furniture and artsy decoration too.
Lots of traditional Chinese things to buy in one central. I liked their supermarket. However, the prices are a bit higher, which you must go hunting outside to look for.
Incredible choice in a huge range of products, frome traditional drugs to genuine tea and food. Hard to visit without buying anything.. And you'll find a wide range of prices.!
If you are looking for any China made products or foodstuff you are likely to find it here and the prices are not unreasonable for their foodstuff but bargaining is highly recommended for their other products especially their Chinese handicraft where discounts as high as 40% can be obtained from their listed price.
Despite its name, it sells more than just Chinese products. Worth checking out if you want to buy some authentic Chinese goods
The store seems to have a bit of everything. It had both cheap and expensive items. The staff are very kind and helping in finding the things I needed
Big place and comfy. Sold many items from medicine to rare food ingredients. The shopkeeper is very helpful too.
Nice range of products and at a very good price. Price for Few items were cheaper than the street market. Helpful and polite staff.
Nice place to shop for chinese herbs, ointment, and medicine. There's a supermarket at the second floor as well which sells mostly chinese spices
Very, very beautiful Chinese products.Shopping inside is a kind of visual enjoyment. It's exquisite, and more and more Chinese products.
Authentic Chinese products, a little pricey. It is a comfort for Chinese people out of China to enjoy the food they grow up with.
Good place to go to if looking for chinese products. They have everything ranging from teas to ornaments.
Quite a variety of products to choose from. Prices are very stiff. Cld be more sellable if prices can be reduced further.
Quite nice, lin and Nancy are very happy to go there again, lots of products to choose
Variety of Chinese products can be found here. Friendly and helpful staffs!
Things are quite expensive here, especially clothes and handicrafts. But has a huge variety of food items on offer.

Clean and tidy. The service was excellent. Short staffed.
Clean and tidy. The service is very good. But there is a lack of manpower.
Most of the things inside are Chinese products, and the things you buy are not very expensive! Let Chinese people living in Singapore have a place to find what they need! There is a supermarket inside, where you can buy medicines, and there are many Chinese-style decorations! Of course, there is also a store for buying Tang suits! 😎
The location is in the most prosperous area of Chinatown! There are many shopping malls nearby, both old and new, large and small! There is also a Chinese snack market! Of course there is also a tourist area where you can buy souvenirs and drink and eat! When you come to Singapore, you must come to Chinatown (China Town) to see the excitement! worth! 😀
Very poor, selling expired food. I bought five bags of Sun Island Mushroom Sauce on March 9, 2024, and the normal date for the three bags was February 4, 2023. The shelf life is 12 months. It had already expired when I bought it, but it was still being sold. I had it when I got home and my whole family had diarrhea. I was really disappointed. Then you need a five-star rating to post a review
It's like a Chinese department store with a full range of Chinese-related products. It's easy to find at the entrance to Chinatown, and is a very clean and stylish store. There is a Chinese medicine store on the first floor, a clothing and ceramics store above, and Chinese grocery stores and restaurants. It's a great place to visit in Chinatown when it's hot.
It feels pretty good! You can find what you want as soon as you come in, and it's well laid out.
The prices of goods in this department store are very expensive. Compared with nearby stores, the price is very different. It is only suitable for tourists and locals will not patronize it.
Many mainland products
There are also those in Taiwan
I bought some satay sauce, oh oh oh
If you want to buy domestic products or special Chinese seasonings, you must come here... sesame paste, hot pot base, sweet noodle sauce, instant noodles, spicy strips, white wine, etc. But not all of them are domestic products. I'll give it three and a half stars.
