Reviews of SAM
Not a place for Bruneian to shop. They slash you if they hear you don’t speak local. What I don’t like is they kept saying Brunei is a rich country. What does that means? No discount and can charge more? Good luck.
Completed in the 1980s on the plot previously occupied by the Joo Chiat Wet Market. It is building that houses shops on its first 4 levels, office units on 5th level and above that are 3 HDB blocks of residential.
Since situated in the Geylang Serai district you can find many shops own by the Malay community offering goods and services related to the Malay culture. There is a supermarket on level 1 and you can also find many textile shops here.
Many shops suitable for muslim consumers consist of textiles, jewellery, clothing, curtains, boutiques, furnitures & many more at a reasonable & affordable.
Nice place to stay, blk 1-4 residents enjoy close access to Geylang Sarai market and Fairprice. 2 MRT stations nearby with frequent bus service.
This the place to look for Muslim and muslimah wear. And there's the Kedai Emas Ming Seng and Muslim bookshop and some fragrance shops.
The festive mood now is not like years ago. Lesser crowd and there are lesser choices of the old traditional cookies... 🙂
Nostalgic place. Its been around for many years and you can really feel the atmosphere especially during the holy month of ramadan...
Legendary shopping complex. If you are looking for cloths , curtain, tailor, muslim wear then this is the place
Latifah huri nasi lemak was superb.get in the que as early as possible before the nasi lemak disappear in a short while.😋
Not too attracting but ambience is ok but still can find good food around.
Great food and smells, very localised shopping items from local Malay culture.
Good shopping place especially for Muslims. Near bus stop. Cheap prices.
Place to shop for traditional malay costume.. Mostly shop's owner are pioneer ones..
Sells lots of textiles and home linen. Old mall
No food outlets
Home furniture and appliances available. Type of products from malaysia, thai etc
Curtains, fabrics, jewelery, utensils, muslim clothings.
Not much variety of shops except those selling household items, clothes and jewelry.
One stop shopping....nostalgic n old school....memories lingers
