Reviews of Big Bus Tours Singapore
I joined night tour, i thought the 3 hours tour is little too long, but actually fully enjoyed and never boarded. Tour guide Peter entertain us and consider all guests nationality and the back ground. Driver David Sin drives nice enough in jammed street in city area.
If I can say something useful for expected tourist, I suggest come earlier for the tour and take seat for front half of bus, Cause last half covered with canvas top roof, if you like to enjoy 360 view of city come and make queue.
And not better bring bottled water.
Fantastic Night Tour of Singapore from Guide Peter and Captain Steven. Peter's local knowledge combined with his humour was the highlight of the tour. As the sun went down behind the Marina Bay Sands we headed off to grab some delicious satay before finishing the evening with the beautiful sound and lights of the Gardens By The Bay. Thanks to all for making this a fabulous end to the day!
It was pretty.convenient. you can buy the ticket and do the yellow/red line .. go down any stop you like and take the next bus when you are done sight seeing on that stop. Once you finish the entire line you can go back to the main stop in suntec city and take the other line depend on which line you had done. You got plenty of time because the ticket is good for 24 hrs.
Took the night time tour, great way to see the sights at night. There's a stop at Lau Pa Sat Hawker Market for chicken satays and a stop at the Gardens by the Bay for the night light show. Option to be dropped off at Clarke Quyay to party on. My fourth visit here and I still learnt a lot about Singapore. The guide and driver were fantastic
Great way to see Singapore. The app works well if you want to want to make a booking or see the location of the bus. The onboard commentary is very informative. The staff at Suntec City were also friendly and helpful.
The night tour is highly recommendable and was well organized. Alfie, our guide for the tour, laid down the rules and expectations early and therefore the tour ran like clockwork. He is an excellent guide. He was also very helpful and took the time to answer our questions during the tour.
The singapore City Sightseeing Bus Pass was an excellent choice for exploring the city. The hop-on-hop-off feature allowed me to visit all the major attractions at my own pace. The buses were comfortable, and the audio guide provided interesting commentary about the landmarks. It was convenient to be able to get on and off at various stops and explore each location thoroughly. The bus tickets are available in suntec city tourist hub.Overall, the bus pass made my sightseeing experience in singapore convenient, informative, and enjoyable.
Reasonably priced. I enjoyed my day with Big Bus tours very much. It was a great way to see the city in such a short space of time. Thank you.
We purchased our tickets online and downloaded the app which we found very helpful & easy to use. The buses we rode were clean & we never had to wait too long for a bus. On our first day the weather was quite rainy but we were provided with plastic rain ponchos which was nice!
There has been a change to the routes just recently and some stops have been removed…but overall we found this to be a great way to see a good part of the city and get to some of the main attractions we wanted to hit.
Such an incredibly easy and cost effective way to tour the city. Most of the attractions are also off of a metro line, so quite accessible if you purchase your tickets from the tour company directly.
I'd recommend booking through the Big Bus rather than a 3rd party vendor if you don't want to start at stop 0. The entire red and yellow line take a little over an hour if you don't get off - so if you have 2 days and aren't sure what to see, I'd recommend starting right at 9:30, staying on the bus for one round, then prioritize a few sites to see (unless you're interested in getting off at every stop)
i can highly recommend the night tour! our driver daniel foo was perfect and whatever you are paying guide peter, it is surely not enough! he tells wonderful stories and is super funny. kind regards!
The hop on hop off bus drivers have been very helpful and obliging. The night tour was excellent. Guide Peter and driver Willie did a great job and we're very informative and looked after us well. Great night
I bought a 2 day ticket with the additional night tour. The price is very reasonable. Buy online and you get a discount. The bus app allows you to track live bus status at different stops. The buses were clean and the drivers were exceptionally patient and drove well.
I added the night tour. Edna was our personal tour guide. The bus sits only the top deck at night. Edna (Bus 54) on 28 January was phenomenal. She narrated the history of Singapore and gave a guided tour. The three places visited were the reservoir by the ocean. Not exciting you may think but the history and the views were great. Then on to the traditional outdoor market to eat. Great food! Then Edna brought us to the Gardens light and music show with the trees. Edna guided us calmly through the chaos. The driver was exceptional. Edna showed us to her own “private” seating area. Our own out of the way place to view the show.
Great deal! Great place!
Great tour. 2 lines. Hop on and off. Not to expensive. You can easily book online. Bus stops are easy to find as well. To visit all the places and walk around you should reserve majority of the day. The guide on the headset should be better. Stunning views in a beautiful city. Highly recommended.
The driver is very professional and the tour guider lady is very helpful for all the facts, history and explaining the details of Singapore tourist spot that we went through. Overall is a fun ride where tourist should not miss.
Good experience overall. Easy to redeem our QR voucher. Kind drivers. I definitely recommend using the Big Bus app. Real-time bus location feature was accurate and helpful! Excellent staff at the Temasek Blvd main office. Very patient and helpful.
We had an amazing Experience with our Guide Peter.
He shared lot of History about Singapore 🇸🇬 and also was punctual on time.
He had great sense of humor and asked everyone about dropping place and dropped everyone safe.
Thanks again Peter our tour Guide for providing great experience
Had a fantastic couple of days fully utilising the Hop on Hop off bus. Travelled on yellow line more but also did the red line tour. Our deluxe ticket included a 2-day pass and a brilliant 3 hour night tour with Elvie as our guide. Booked online (deluxe ticket) and made reservation for night tour and then had to go to Suntec City to exchange for a ticket. Also issued ponchos and earphones (that had to be retained for duration of ticket or replaced at a small surcharge). Water could be purchased on board too. There is a Big Bus app you can download that details routes, wait times at stops, next bus due information etc.
For the night tour we had a guided tour with 3 stops along the way including Marina Barrage to take in the skyline of Singapore, then Lau Pa Sat to sample Chicken Satay and finally a visit to Garden by the Bay South for their evening light & sound show, which was incredible! Would highly recommend!
Recommend for tourist, one hour surf and turf trip can see almost all the sign seeing point for Singapore. The ride on the river was smooth, you won’t get sea sick. Good for kids as well.
Enjoyed this noisy and bumpy ride around the civic district, soaking in the facts about some of the historic and iconic sights in Singapore. Highlights include being able to get a view of the Singapore Flyer and MBS from the waters of the Marina Bay.
The perfect way of exploring Singapore! 🇸🇬
The bus stops as well as the organisation it’s working perfectly, and no highlight is left out! So, whenever you have the chance of being in Singapore, you should not hesitate to book a ticket! 🎟️
We purchased the 2 day pass with night tour. Our guide for the night tour was Gee. His cheerful enthusiasm and knowledge provided an interesting and fact filled evening. The stops were well organised and the light show at Gardens on the Bay was a real highlight. The convenient drop off service afterwards was much appreciated. On the day tours , we were introduced to areas we had not found on previous trips. I would recommend this package for visitors with a short time in Singapore like us.
I am riding on the duck bus was made in 1960 time. It was fun and cool to see Singapore harbor
I had a wonderfull packed sightseeing day, Singapore within 12 hours, I took the premium ticket and got on the Big bus tours Yellow line 2 times and Red line 1 time and the Night tour that was amazing too. I got a 20% discount on purchasing the ticket for the Singapore flyer, which was a stunning experience too. Thanks to our malaysian Night tour guide (3rd Nov) who did an amazing ambitious passionated job and thanks a lot to Mr Winston, a lovely caring man, whom I met each time, when I got on the Big Bus again at Sun Tech City Tourist Hub. He made the German lady happy with his smile. I felt very much taken good care of by the friendly staff.
The Big Bus Tours were fantastic.
We also went on the Night City Tour: Gardens by the Bay- Bugis St Market - Tropical Fruit Sampling : Our guide was superb and it was great chatting to him about Singapore life but the tour itself didn't give much time to explore. Although it was good to go to Chinatown, the night show at Gardens by the Bay and Burgis market, we didn't get enough time at each place.
The tour was very nice. GEE is the best!
The tour guide GEE was very nice and knowledgable.👍
The tour was excellent!🥰
GEE thanks for the tour, you’re the BEST!
Take care.🥰

Had a fantastic tour on the 23td September with Elfie Selfie, he was so knowledgeable and made the tour fun. Would highly recommend doing this tour. Suzanne, Mandy and Andy 💜
We had limited time in Singapore, so the 48 hour ticket to go on red and yellow routes during the day, then the night tour was perfect! A great way to get around and learn about the city in a short time. Thanks to Gee our night time guide who was so lively, helpful, knowledgable and enthusiastic.
It was a very fun experience. Kids will love it! Our best part was when the vehicle move from land to water.. Splash! Might get a little wet if you are sitting near the sides. The guide was professional and gave good info on the surrounding landmarks.
We bought a 2 day ticket including night tour. It made learning about the city easy and interesting, finding potential places to explore. The night tour was more than we expected. Rather than just a bus ride, we visited the water barrage, a hawker centre for food and the Rhapsody show at Gardens by the Bay before being dropped off at our respective hotels. Totally recommend
Long periods of silence on the audio tour with bland music playing other times, while we were there big bus and sightseeing were interchangeable. Expensive but nice variety of tour routes and helpful staff
Please don't raise your expectations on this, it can be a real disappointment. From being treated like cattle, to equipment not working, the views are good but beware. Also alighting bus stops are limited.
Not a bad way to get our bearings around Singapore as first time visitors.
Thank you to Peter and the driver on the night tour bus 50.
We had a fantastic time and loved Peters stories of Singapore.
Gardens by the Bay was spectacular. Could not have asked for more.
I have a friend in town and we took the Big Bus Tours. The Q was long but fast moving. At least we get to enjoy the sightseeing at $118 for 2person. It was much better than taking a taxi which we waited 30mins at taxi stand but no taxi & fare for private hire price is at least double and with a long wait too.
Do the night tour - Edna is fantastic! Such a sweet and knowledgeable lady. We had a great night ☺️
Great options for a day trip around Singapore. Hop on and hop off wherever and whenever you like
Pretty good commentary for tourists and passes through the major attractions of Singapore. Can buy tickets online or on site at suntec city. A one hour tour on amphibious vehicle
Great option to get your bearings, free wifi and great air con if you sitting inside. Special mention to Winston, guide Pete and captain Willie. Well worth the money for all red, yellow and night tour!!
Great service, easy to use. Two different routes where they do cross one another at some areas. Do get the live application for your phone, VERY handy. My only critique is that sometimes the bus location wasn't as accurate on the app. Besides that, a great way to explore Singapore in an easy way when you have limited time.
A decent enough tour and the driver was very helpful.
Unfortunately the pre recorded commentary was fairly lacking, I did another tour a few months ago and they had much more information in the history of the places you were travelling through.
Big bus is a very well known company. I found the bus frequency was not appropriate. If you miss it , then you lose a lot of time. Finally, most attractions in Singapore are close enough so the need for such service is not obvious
Great tour. Very informative, and the bus stops at all the best attractions. The only improvements I would suggest is better tracking of the buses on the application because it's not always accurate; longer working hours in summer (it closed at 17:30); and having rooftop shade covers on all the buses (only some of them had shade on the top section).
Small city easy to see in a short time. Very clean, polite and safe
Review update on 10/27 (from 1 to 3 stars)
First off, thank you to the company for taking the time to respond to the review and ultimately offer a refund (it was just received by us parents this week, hence the review update). It was the right move by the company and appreciated.
With that said, it was still a terrible experience that the ducks were broken and while I understand it can't be helped due to safety reasons, to help make up for that poor customer experience, it would have been great if the company offered a discount voucher of sorts for parents to take the kids to check out the duck ride (nothing to do with the school) at a future time.
......-
Our son was scheduled to go on the Wacky Duck Tour with his school but the day of, they switched it to a big city bus tour (not nearly as fun or unique as a duck tour would have been, especially for a kid who goes on a city bus all the time and who could care less about the city history, what kid would?!). The company should have given the school advance notice so parents could have opted out and gotten a refund instead of changing it last minute on the day of their field trip. This resulted in a very disappointed toddler who was very much looking forward to this field trip and riding in a boat.
What a terrible experience!
Try this before you start making plans. Use this to see the city and then mark down the places you want to visit more later.
Yellow line is the best. If you want to see China Town and Little India then you have to do the Red line which seemed otherwise boring. It’s a shame it’s not all included into the one route. The heavens burst with bucket loads of rain and the entire bottom of the bus was awash with a waterfall coming down stairs and a swimming pool sloshing around below. Everyone came down stairs as the partial canvas canopy was totally inadequate. The drivers were hard to understand, the WiFi didn’t work, the commentary was not continuous or very engaging. Still it is
a good way to see a lot of Singapore.
Big Bus Singapore didn’t let us down like other Big Bus Tours in other cities have. Nice routes with lots of information. We chose to buy a two day Tour on a Monday and since they’re closed on Wednesday we got Thursday included. Great service!
We booked the Singapore Explorer, 48 hour ticket plus night tour.
We would highly recommend adding the night tour. The 1st stop on night tour is seeing Singapore go from day to night at Marina Barrage, folliwed by Satays at Lau Pa Sat Satay Street, then the Super tree light show.
This tour also includes a very informative and entertaining guide.
Really enjoyed using the bus tours. We booked all 3 for the first 2 days of arrival and it was perfect as an intro to the city. Our favourite was the night bus as our tour guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and funny. The day busses had plenty of stops for hoping on and off to visit places. And there was the bonus of Wi-fi on the bus so we could plan our walking routes when we got off the bus.
We had a wonderful day exploring Singapore on the Big Bus Tour. We were especially welcomed by Mr Winston Goh! Very kind and helpful and a nice introduction to our day of fun! Thank you Mr Goh and Big Bus Tours Singapore!
Edna and our captain were the best! Efficient yet relaxed in our night tour today.
The driver was incredibly sweet when he saw us running (literally) to the bus stop with my in laws from Maxwell Hawker in Singapore to ensure that we made the bus❤️
Excellent option to bring kids for short touring :)
My husband and i together with our 1.5 years daughter was thinking to take a singapore local tour after a few months of staying at home.Thinking to unwind with the singapore rediscovery tour.
We chose Duck tour in the end at suntec.
I have used BIG BUS in Europe but Singapore Duck tour i will highly recommend.
We chose the 12pm duck tour boat Katrina on 23/08/2020
Big shoutout to The Crew on board as they are so entertaining and professional as they give them to the fullest for the 1 hour tour.
Love the river cruise, the crew made sure safety and comfort first.
The tour was fun and smooth and there are quiz to win cute key chains prices.
I will not hesitate to recommend to my family member and friends.
Love it!
More traffic for the bus then we dont havevwait too long because iit waste time for that price
We did order the tickets online, and received an email with a link where to go. The link to Google map is wrong.
Easy way to find facts about Singapore
The bus trip and the tour are top notch. The tour runs past the most famous places, and you have many opportunities to hop on and off.
We didn't like the annoying and bad music between the guides, and ended up not listening to the guide.
Proposal one is to have guiding without music, proposal two is to mark the bus stops with small signs.
But still worth the money.
The bus stop is right next to Suntec City Duck Boat. If you take a taxi at this location, the driver cannot park in a circle of towers outside. It would be better to ask the staff if you can walk over to avoid unnecessary mistakes. We just asked an Indonesian guy to help. We pointed out a shortcut, haha, we walked through a bicycle path and arrived. The guy was very enthusiastic and came over to help us out in case we couldn't find it. So my first impression of Singapore was great. The bigbus fare here is relatively expensive, even according to the prices here. Counting the two-person fare, we took both the red and yellow lines. The yellow one is the modern line and the red one is the historical line. I prefer the modern line, which takes about an hour and a half to complete the journey plus stops and waiting. I like the many buildings in Singapore and it is very interesting here. I like the design with glass curtain walls, but be aware that [the first train of the yellow line in the morning does not stop at Marina Garden Station]. I instantly felt that I had lost 100 million😄. The driver informed me before departure, but who would be willing to get off the car and wait for the next one? I queued up and sat on the second floor. My favorite seats, but I don’t like the red line very much. It’s not that I don’t like some of Singapore’s history and culture, but the whole line design seems to be sincere and doesn’t show the most beautiful historical and cultural features here. The red line plus the stop time of about 1 hour feels very open. It was almost chaotic and we passed the red bus. The driver drove very fast. The multi-language explanation earphones on the bus will be given to you when you buy the ticket. I highly recommend taking this sightseeing bus because you can get a general impression of some places in Singapore. It is also really interesting. The best way to sit upstairs and take pictures when it’s hot is definitely to choose the fully open-air seats without awnings. When the sun comes out, you must wear sunglasses🕶️ It’s windy and comfortable when driving, but it’s very hot when you stop, especially when you stop. There are many foreigners who are more polite if you are sitting alone. They will go downstairs to sit in the air-conditioned seats if there are no seats available. This is a borderline one, so you don’t have to worry about someone coming to share a seat with you if there are many people. Ha ha
It was cool on the water and a very fun experience!
It would have been better if I could choose my seat freely.
The website said we needed to arrive 30 minutes early and bring ID, but neither was required.
We took a night tour of Singapore today! It was simply great! Go to Gardens by the Bay just in time for the light show! Truly unique! 👌🏻
Then there was even a food tasting!
Many thanks to our guide Salam and the driver Captain Willie! 😊
The first time I came to Singapore, I bought two tickets and took this bus to travel around the city!
It is an easy and accessible way to get to know the most important tourist sites in Singapore. The night tour is the best. They take you to the locations where the best photographs are taken, they take you to the Gardens by the Bay night show. They take you to taste satay at Lau Pat Sat.
