Excellent customer service, which more than justifies the cost of their products. Special thanks to Sook Fun, who was very thoughtful and patient in her interactions with us. She was very understanding and provided useful tips and suggestions when we went down to their experiential centre seeking advice, following some challenges with pumping that we faced. Truly rare to come across such quality customer service in Singapore. Also have a positive experience with the Hegen pump, and never had any issues with yield. The motor is fairly quiet, which is good when pumping at night, and the pump itself very portable compared with other non-handsfree pumps out there in the market.
My review is 1 year late as my LO is 1 yr old! I am really appreciative with huiyi and sook fun during my initial pumping experience. I had the wrong flange and i message hegen customer service via WhatsApp. As I was doing my confinement, both of them came to my house to help me measure my flange size and provided their guidance on how to pump and latch baby. Even 1 year has passed since my interaction with them, I'm still feeling grateful with the wonderful support that they have given me. 🙏🏻
We went down to the Hegen experiential centre as I was having some issues with the pump. Sook Fun has been very helpful throughout the session and cleared the doubts that I had regarding pumping! Highly recommend to any mummies to visit the centre should you need any assistance!
7 days after giving birth and recovering from surgery, i was struggling with pumping. I reached out to Hegen customer service and they were so quick to offer support. Spent more than 2 hrs with me teaching me the settings and giving me comfort that i can do this. Every mom needs this type of tribe around her!
Best customer service experience! The customer specialists at Hegen were really quick to respond to my queries via email - almost like a live chat. To better help me as a first time mum, they invited me to their centre to take a look at my pump and observe a pumping session which really helped to ease my worries. Big shout-out to Huiyi who was there to help and encourage me, as well as to give me breast pumping tips.

I had some issues figuring out why two of the exact same model of Hegen Hand Pump produced such different outcomes when I was pumping, so I rang Hegen up and made an appointment. I was served by Huiyi. From the moment she met me at the entrance, she was warm and helpful. She helped to troubleshoot the issue and patiently explained the product. She answered my questions and we even chatted a little about our breastfeeding journeys. Huiyi successfully diagnosed the issue, provided me with a replacement and solution, taught me the proper way to use the product and wash/sterilise it. She even advised me on pace feeding with the Hegen bottle. I learnt so much in the short span of time there. My advice to those with queries on the product is not to waste time at the distribution retailers as many sales people have no clue, just directly speak with the folks at Hegen Experiential Centre.

To clarify, Hegen customer service is excellent. No doubts on how Sook Fun attempts to resolve the issues with the Hegen Pump.
But do let me share in details on the reasons for the 1 star review on the Hegen Pump:
i) Pump suction (Not as good as the other brand used) Using similar pump suction strength, the supply differs by 50ml + - (Hegen: 65ml , S******: 120ml).
Update:
Our Hegen pump was brought back for Diagnosis and it was confirmed faulty. Hegen did a 1 for 1 replacement as it is covered under warranty. The new pump was tested and working great like the demo set or the other brand used previously. (How unlucky can it be for us to purchase a brand new faulty set...) Hence I will revised the rating to 3/5 for the bad experience encountered on the product.
ii) Pump accessories (Too many to wash (3 vs 7) and sterilize as compared to another brand) I would like to remind all that there are different versions of the pump body/flange/ecap and they are not compatible for the old and new generations. I can't fault them on this as products were not purchased directly from Hegen but from 3rd party retailers at Baby's fair.
As per above review, the pump is supposed to help mothers to effectively carrying out breastfeeding to the newborn, but product effectiveness (Hegen Pump) is lacking. Also it is more time consuming to wash the product parts after use.
My wife did not have a good experience after using the pump and I do hope that Hegen can improve on the product as per feedback.
I went down to the Center to get advice for my flange size and met up with Huiyi! She was so nice and kind and answered all my questions that I had for a first time mum. I told her that I have yet to attend the class so would appreciate if she can quickly go through how to use the pump and the parts. She went on to explain to me in great details with a personalised demo on how to use the pump and care for it. In addition, the receptionist (sorry didn’t get your name!) was attentive and friendly as well, offering me and my husband drinks while we were speaking to Huiyi. Overall I’m glad that I went down personally and overall exceptional experience! Thank you Hegen and team.

Such an informative session shared by friendly & knowledgeable staff. Ambience is amazing & very comfortable. I find the session really helpful especially for first time mummies. Will definitely recommend all mummies out there to not be shy & definitely secure a slot with them if you’re unsure about certain issues like the nipple measurement & etc. Rest assured, they’re professional & the session was really private & comfortable.
