Reviews of Happy Oven - Tiong Bahru Main Bakery
Are U Hungry 😋?
Bakery : Happy Oven #01-08
@ blk 40 Beo Crescent
With a tagline : “Modernising Tradition”, I know inside me burning, with fire 🔥, inspired to write this article … 😀😅
Leading to eventual buying of 2 items :
1. Ondeh Ondeh Swissroll X 1 @ $1.40
2. Cream Puff X 2pcs @ $1.40 each
Sharing the power wordings and bold statement of its tagline to signifying the desire of the owners to make good of the tradition or Heritage and using state of art technology of bakery to enhance the process of baking this modernising it … 😯 🤩 👍 ⭐️
On its Cream puff, stuffed with whipped cream, shall do better with custard cream that shall hit the sweet spot ! 🙏🏻😅
I loved ❤️ the Ondeh Ondeh swissroll best with its authentic taste 👅 of th e coconut inspiration both outside (grated coconut) and inside (grated coconut infused with gula melaka sweetness) except for its whipped cream (hopefully can replace to something closer to Nonya paste (like Kaya) that shall exemplify the overall taste 👅 bud. For now it’s good but can be better ! 😀😅

Thanks for feeding us only with goodness! Thoroughly enjoyed the very soft, fluffy, generous coconut shavings and the not overly sweet Ondeh Ondeh Swiss Roll! One piece would be a nice size if you’re trying to watch your waist, otherwise, I’d say that you could easily have two! Thanks for the awesome service and ensuring that we receive our order! I’d definitely return for more!
Ordered through Shopee and was thoroughly surprised at how good the quality was. First time trying but it will not be the last.
Delivery was prompt, on time
Tarts stayed crunchy for hours after delivery! (usually they get soggy quite fast from other places i’ve tried).
Presentation was fantastic - everyone commented it looks so “atas”
Halal too so no issues since I was purchasing for my dept with some Muslim colleagues.
Looking forward to ordering again
Banana cake is good. Ondeh Ondeh is not bad, Kaya cake is not bad. However, everything is a little bit pricey. $1 for each bite size product.
The chocolate cake and black forest ok very average. Can omit the cheesecake, texture not creamy or cheesy. Maybe their signature Oneh cake is better.
Old school neighborhood bakery. My favourites include the Pandan Kaya cake and Cheesecake. The baked goods are not too sweet and natural ingredients are used.
Went over there to try their cakes and pastries and wasn’t disappointed! Really love their odeh odeh cake and kaya pandan.
Rich flavour and not too sweet
The most tasty sweets that I have ever taste in Singapore. I couldn't recommend them more, excellent flavours, super moisture and creamy. Friendly stuff and good price. Keep up with your good work and make us happy :)
I dont doubt their integrity on making these delicious cake. I ordered for my cousin and her family who reside in Singapore and Happy Oven surely delivers them right on time. The process is seamless and very responsive via IG chat. I will definitely order again in the future, thank you for your hospitality, Happy Oven family!!! Love from NYC..
Love your cakes , especially the traditional pandan types. Thanks for selling those small pieces at such an affordable price, so much easier to buy different types to try out in one go and to share!. Thanks to that welcoming helpful diligent funny young Vietnamese chap in your shop who was willing to open the door for late customers including me arriving at 715pm
ondeh ondeh cake is darn good. coconut was really fresh and yummy. portion and density is just nice and won’t let u feel like u had cake or sugar overdose quickly.
tried various other tarts and pastries, all were good and inexpensive. good to grab them for house or office parties any time.
Really tasty and yummy cakes! We tried the signature apple crumble tart (so good!), ondeh ondeh and pandan kaya cake. Store looks clean and items are well presented. Best of all, everything tastes better than they look (which already looks so yummy)! Will definitely be back.
One of the best pastries shop in Singapore, delicious and not too sweet
Happy oven’s ondeh ondeh cake is the best, coconut and the filling is very fresh
No frills, humble neighbourhood bakery. Their ondeh ondeh cake is simply awesome.
If you like the 80s or anything that is simple and reminds you of the old Singapore, you will love this bakery. I fell in love with it the moment I found it. I was so surprised to find out it was opened since 2009! Try the latest Pistachio Eclairs. You will not be disappointed!
Bought the box of 6 cakes for guo da li. Super good cakes and received positive feedback from our relatives as well :) person in charge was very responsive and accommodating so we could receive our cakes early.
Amazing cream puff cake, affordable prices and good customer service! The other two cakes I tried were good but not even close to the cream puff cake!
Would go back to get more cream puff cake :)
Neighborhood bakery that has been in the beo crescent estate for spme time. This is probably the only bakery or confectionery in this area(at the time of thos writing).
They offer a variety of old school breads and cakes.
Their banana cake is airy and has a rich banana fragrance. Though there isn't any banana visible and one will probably finish the $1 piece in as few as 3 bites.
Little bakery next to the famous curry rice. There was a short queue when I went at lunchtime. Apple crumble tart, chendol cake and ondeh ondeh Swiss roll are very good
Very nice cakes and ultra good service, in fact, it’s like paying premium pastries at a great value.
Flavours bursting in every mouth.
Yummy old school cakes. Love the Pandan cake. The Baileys cake could have more liquor, but it's a decent chocolate cake with a nice base.
Will recommend their signature Ondeh Ondeh Cake, Apple Crumble and Pandan Kaya Cake!! Price is affordable at $1+ range.. Love it!! ❤️❤️
Get a mango pomelo tart and Black Forest cake.
Nice and price is reasonable.
Love the cake. Their ondeh ondeh cake wasn't very sweet. Just nice. My little girl loves it.
Old school bakery with assorted pastries at affordable price. Good tasting as well.
Very nice cake at very affordable price. Go old school!
Good taste. Affordable.
Price went up. Service at shop was not pleasant. Feeling rather disappointed.
Amazing pastries so worth the price
love their traditional cakes !!!
Baileys cake is really delicious!
Amazing Ondeh Ondeh cake.
