Outlet too small. Tight seating
If peak hours service is slow
Pastry is delicious. Recommend chestnut.
Coffee is decent
Ordered a set of 6 different kinds of bread to take away ranging from 4.20 to 7+. The full set cost about $34
1. Croissant, pain au Chocolat and almond croissants were average at best at this price point. While I consumed them almost immediately when I got home the pastries lacked the buttery goodness that one would expect after being charged this amount. The layers weren't flaky but felt abit clumped up.
2. Otak otak bread was underwhelming as the otak taste wasn't strong, perhaps to tourist who are less used to the spicy flavours it would be okay, but it just wasn't packing the lunch
3. Ceral prawn croissant was very disappointing as dry on dry combination just didn't seem to help together. The ceral and the croissants coming together just didn't seem to be a unique combination and couldn't hold hands
4. Truffle potato and cheese: if you like cheese might be a good alternative for you, but man was way too cheesy for me
Amazing customer service, i asked for their personal favourite pastry as well as their cheesecake and both exceeded my expectations. The staff were very helpful and you were able to have a great conversation with them. Overall 10/10 loved every aspect of it especially after a long couple of days travelling bouncing from airport to airport
Friendly and helpful staff.
We simply ordered the local's favourite egg & bread set. The thick toast was nice and chewy, kaya was tasty and the kopi-o, which differs slightly from the traditional kopi-o, smelled aromatically good and blended well with kaya toast. Will be back to try out the other pastries.
An excellent coffee joint, Steven the barista is so friendly and helpful in suggesting the store offerings. We enjoyed the pastry, almost clearing the shelf, the coffee is well executed and constructed...highly recommended amidst the many choices in Jewel. Pricing is fair but quality is there....
Orh nee tart tasted really good. The orh nee paste tasted homemade and not too overwhelmingly sweet.
The palm beach was also very unique being a pandan cheesecake and we especially enjoyed the fluffy cream on top. However this was really sweet, but I still liked it overall.
Tried both the iced black and white kopi (coffee). For the price I thought it was very good. White coffee was smooth and easy to drink. And the black coffee was nice and strong.
Had the signature Sor hei, which is a tribute to the Majie of Singapore as it resembles their hair buns. The layers of black & white danish pastry were crispy, with the inside pillowy soft (thanks to the staff for reheating it)! Paired it with a cup of Purple Smurf (cute name 🤭), which is a mix of Manuka honey, butterfly blue pea flower tea & soda water.
