Reviews of The Lunar Rabbit Boulangerie
Had a ham and cheese croissant. Absolutely delightful! The pastry was soft, buttery and flaky goodness. There was also a sweet layer brushed in the top(?). That coupled with a hint of black pepper really balanced out the savoury taste of the filling.
The filling itself was a melt cheese, bechamel sauce and ham. Every bite was delight! Make sure to have it heated up for maximum pleasure.
Coffee was passable, but who cares when the food was that good!
Service was pleasant and efficient. Definitely would recommend.
Update (Mar 23)
Their drinks menu has expanded, there are now tables and high chairs for dine-in. Love all their bakes. Very friendly staff. Definitely on my repeat list.
Previous (May 22)
Large part of shop dedicated to kitchen but customer area remains rather spacious. There are 4 wooden benches for a quick dine-in. Warm lighting helps to make the place comfortable and cozy.
Happened to walk past on a wkday morning and went in to try their plain croissant with flat white. Staff were friendly and happy to serve.
Croissant was crispy on the outside, soft and puffy on the inside. Smelled great, then again, the whole place smells of lovely baked goods. Am curious about their other bakes, will return soon.
Very delicious pastries! Had an almond croissant fresh out of the oven which was glorious. Very beautiful pastries that taste as good as they look. Definitely recommended!
Got the almond croissant ($5.50), had it heated up and then brought it back to the office to eat. It was good but not mind blowing. With most pastries, having it fresh and after it cooled down definitely makes a lot of difference.
Shop itself has limited seating, only about 3 spots. Was not crowded when I came on a Wednesday noon.
Edit: dropped by a second time, this time with burpple 1-1 promotion on certain bakes! Went with the ham and cheese croissant (dine in) and kouign Amman (take away). Definitely way too little cheese, you can’t even see any ham or cheese from the picture.
This place is my favorite for pastries, especially their Truffle Butter Roll—it's one of the best. However, I believe there's room for improvement in their service. Many of the staff often appear serious and unapproachable. I'm not expecting 5-star service, but even a simple smile or greeting is rare. The staff frequently seem stressed and overwhelmed with orders, despite the shop being relatively small.
For take-away customers, the time spent in the shop is usually under 10 minutes, but the experience could be much more pleasant with a friendlier atmosphere.
They have different kind of pastry. All looks very attractive 🤩. I got attracted by their mango icing cube. Ordered it with a large latte. Quite sweet and just normal coffee. Will try their other croissant next time 🥐 . A cozy relax cafe good to chill out or chat with friends.
Suggest they can play some music. One bad thing is their bakery smell quite strong, you will be smelly after visit. Can improve kitchen ventilation.
A place more for takeaways but has some benches if you want to have a quick bite of the fresh bakes. Had the almond croissant and latte. Nice! The croissant was flaky and crispy. As it just came out of the oven, it was still warm.
Bought a pain au chocolat home. Still looking good after keeping it for 2 days.
Not ideal for working - there’s no wifi here, and it has limited seating space.
Got the regular croissant, which is above average but there are better ones in Singapore :P
Came around 4 and they still had a decent selection left, so that’s a plus point for me
Ordered a portobello egg croissant breakfast set and topped up for a side of truffle fries. There were also supposed to be a side of cookies but these did not appear.
Anyway, the set came shiny and er… moist. The portobello and egg in the croissant made it look and taste mushy, possibly not doing any justice to the croissant, if that’s what the shop is famous for. For me, the croissant tasted like how a regular croissant should taste. The fries were sad, deflated, baked to death yet drowned in a copious amount of oil. No one should ever serve or eat these, not even at home. The saving grace was the tea - I guess one can’t go wrong with TWG.
Perhaps if breakfast sets and/or fries are not the shop’s specialty, don’t put it on the menu. Had high hopes for this place, felt a bit cheated after trying it out.
Delicious apple crumble and very good coffee that took us back to Monmouth coffee back in the UK. Will be back to try the truffle butter roll!
Really great coffee shop. The croissants so delicious. And the girl in the cashier always smiling and help us to choose the menu, she is really awesome and kind, she made our day with that smile 😄 and i really love the logo and the name, the lunar rabbit. Def will back again if i am in singapore.
Butter croissant is light n super crispy. One of the best I've taken ❤️ The kouign Amann is highly recommended too! Size is just right n not too sweet. Very flaky too! I'll definitely go back to try out more !
Located on Hamilton Road... this bakery sells awesome pastries. It also has a very cute name to it. Their must try is the croissant. Mmmm. I had a meeting at Freeflow and I'm hoping to have another meeting again so that I can drop by Lunar Rabbit and devour the other pastries. Two thumbs up!
Leggit croissant, taste like the ones I had growing up in Paris.
Been there twice and tried the croissant, pain au chocolat, tartiflette and raspberry viennoiseries.
Can't wait to go back to try all they have to offer!
Ordered the Maverick pack via Pickupp. Really liked the croissant, the dough was airy, flaky and chewy on point. The quiche is my second favourite. I’d love to try the pain au chocolat next.
Didn’t really understand the concept of putting croissant, cookie and cheesecake together (although individually they were all good). I suppose it’s my personal taste :)
Super cute little boulangerie! Just 6 months old. Great, flaky, (French-)buttery croissants and of course their indulgent mascarpone mousse and valrhona ganache Luna!
Great baked goods in this cosy store - looks completely women-run which is also cool. They have both classic stuff like croissants and kouign ammans as well as some inventive stuff like a cookie and cheese bake.
Good selection of pastries for take-out or delivery. A modest dine-in space good for chilling over coffee with friends.
Very relaxing and authentic Vietnamese cuisines. Highly recommended for a relaxing time with music over good Vietnamese food
Cute and yummy pastries!
Maybe a little smallish for the prices
The coffee has alot of room for improvement though.
Would also be good if they open maybe 30 mins earlier on weekends
As a frequent visitor to Lunar Rabbit, I can only say they have won me over with their delectable pastries. Move over Tiong Bahru Bakery and Cedele, because Lunar Rabbit is here to take the pastry game to a whole new level!
- Savoury Treats : Croissants are a must-try, especially the Ham and Cheese. On days when I crave something more indulgent - The Croque Madame never fails to satisfy me.
- Sweets : the cinnamon roll at Lunar Rabbit is divine
Definitely a go-to place if you're a pastry enthusiast looking for top-notch quality and flavour!
Not cheap, but looks good! Hope to try out the other bakes next time. Sign up for their rewards program to get a croissant at $1!
Was in the Neighbourhood n drop by for a coffee break . Ordered a flat white to go with almond croissant .love the coffee n will be back !
The best sourdough bread you can buy in Singapore! I’ve tried a lot of sourdough loaves around, but this remains in the number one spot on my list. Customer service is 10/10 as well, when I had a problem with my previous order, they quickly rectified it with no questions asked. Would recommend anyone to stop in and try any of their other delicious baked goods as well.
Tried their croissant, had a very fragrant buttery taste, and I could tell that their dough was well laminated. However, their croissant was on the softer side, or perhaps this was due to the high humidity in Singapore, but I would prefer it if the exterior was a bit crisper. Price point was quite reasonable, given that the croissant was rather big and the quality was very much above average. Would like to try their other bakes soon!
Great selection of savoury pastries, had the potato danish (tartiflette) and it was amazing!
Had the Croissant aux Peche (Peach Croissant) with the cold brew coffee. The croissant was well baked with a flaky yet crispy texture in perfect harmony with cream and the peach to top it off. Cold brew coffee was really smooth! Great value and will definitely come again :)
Dropped by on a Tuesday afternoon and took away a croissant and pain au chocolat. Sadly I thought that the display of pastries looked kinda sad because there were only a few pieces and it didn’t look super appetising - but maybe it’s because they were all sold to earlier customers? The croissant was actually pretty decent but I probably wouldn’t specially make a trip down to get one unless I was passing by
Was not able to properly take photos because the place is not designed for dining in. There are tables to sit, but very minimal. Items bought will still be packed in bags or boxes and you will have to eat from it as there are no cutleries or plates provided. There was also no option for the items to be reheated.
I would assume that the taste of everything would have been much better elevated if it were to be served when it is reheated. I arrived close to 11 and most of the items were definitely already cooled down by the AC.
There was a savoury item I ordered that I can only imagine would have been yummier if it was heated up.
Otherwise, the pastries were above average. Presentation on point with a good variety of the usual classics and some interesting self creations.
My favourite place to get pastries and a delicious cup of latte or mocha. I love the crescent moon and rabbit motif they have too, its so cute. Do try the savoury pastries like the arabiki sausage roll, the ham and cheese croissant and the mushroom cheese danish, they're crispy goodness when lightly toasted. The lunar and kouign amann were delightfully crisp too. The cinnamon bun was fragrant and quite filling.
The Lunar Rabbit Boulangerie is a small bakery/cafe. Bit hard to spot walking along the road as the place is located along a complex. The freshly brewed coffee is great but there baked goods are fantastic. Have been there couple of times during a short stay. The staff there are friendly too.
Lunar Rabbit Boulangerie offers a wide range of pastries that are bound to satisfy the palate. Tried an assortment of items (Viennoiserie a la Tartiflette, Croissant aux Peche, mango & passion fruit cube croissant) and was not disappointed! The pastries were crispy and flaky. Truly in a class of its own.
If you are a caffeine addict, be sure to try their coffee as well! If not, rest assured as there are a wide variety of non-caffeinated options.
Am definitely looking forward to my next visit!
Tasted their Quiche and Hotdog Croissant. Really nice. The quiche has this sweet and savoury profile, with the crispy and light crust which goes very well. The hotdog is has caramelised onion which goes well with the sausage and light and fluffy crust. Forgot to take photo because the bread is too nice!
Great bakery & excellent service
Sacristain and hotdog croissant are a must to order. Kouign amann was alright, not the crispy flaky kind that u might find in most bakeries. If u like Tiong Bahru’s bakery, then u won’t be disappointed here. Good quality pastry shop, highly recommended!!
Brilliant service with pretty decent food. No mains here but will be satisfied with the available bakes and coffee/tea selections. Cold brew black was really nice. Small place cozy place for quick pit stop. But note there is no washroom here.
Croissant is good and the owner serve us warmly.
Love all their pastries - the best I have eaten so far. When I bought the classic set and some items were sold out.. they replaced with the more expensive ones with no additional charging.
The pastry is creative and quite unique. The coffee is very smooth and just the right blend. There is limited seats.
Crunchiest Pain Au Chocolat. Wish they could spread the dark chocolate a bit. Too thick on one side only
Having tried almost all the cafes and bakeries in the area, this seems to be the best one. Delicate and delicious bakes with friendly and attentive staff. A tad pricy though…
Amazing quality bakes!!
Ordered from Lunar Rabbit today for the first time and their bakes are soooooo nice! What makes them more attractive to go back again is their customer service and good ethics!
Happy to have nice boulangerie near to my place!! Great pastry!! 🥐
Nice pastries, delectable & light
Awesome service too
Absolutely delicious!
Light and delicate layers.
This bakery is special for its wonderfully crispy and flaky croissants.
It was opened in May by a baker who graduated from Cordon Bleu.
The coffee is not artistic but it is delicious.
The background music is Kiki's Delivery Service ❤️
These delicious breads are neither salty nor sweet. I fell in love with them. 😍
Their delicious buttery croissants, chocolate croissants, crumble pies with homemade apple jam, and the ham and cheese croissants with their luxurious, not-so-salty cheese are all delicious, but my favorites are the Queen Amann and hotdogs!!! Try them with a hazelnut latte. They're so delicious.
I'll be back soon to buy some more breads!
I recommend this bakery. The coffee is delicious and there are a lot of different types of bread, but I think the croissant is the signature menu. The croissant is delicious, but the brioche is also good, so I'll go back again.
The cappuccino was very tasty, the croissant de la peache was delicious, why it takes almost 15 minutes to prepare two cappuccinos - the shop was empty when we came in - I don't quite make sense
The male owner is delicious and the food is friendly.
Truffle cream croissant…👍👍👍
