Reviews of Fujiwara Tofu Concept Shop Singapore
Great place, fantastic environment, and friendly staff at Fujiwara Tofu Concept Singapore. The food is delicious, and the Initial D theme is a treat for fans. Highly recommend!
Really cosy establishment that has a creative menu. Not many seating space indoors, but we liked it that way as it is more intimate. I wanted to try all the drinks on the menu! Just so innovative and colourful. I found the mentaiko cheese tofu really yummy too. The boss/staff were friendly. There’s a few lots within the compound but recommend to park at the surrounding lots. Will revisit and try the other food and drinks!
It was worth the wait! I ordered the chicken glazed skewers rice bowl and spicy tofu. Appreciate that it was served fresh and hot. Chicken was well glazed and juicy. Tofu skin had just the right crisp combined with the chili spice on top, it was well recommended of the menu. So many things on the menu I'd like to try. Love the creative concept of Initial D and jap music playing in the background. As an anime lover I'll definitely be back.
Cool place for car enthusiast to have supper! Highly recommend their Fujiwara Tofu, Garlic Tofu, Fried corn with paprika! 💯
Good atmosphere and a place to check out for fans of the anime with the thematic experience. When we were there there was a yellow Toyota 86 parked outside which definitely added to the vibes.
Ordered a few fried items (it's a 豆腐炸 shop afterall) and they were all pretty good.
Crab sticks with mentaiko mayo were delish. Garlic tofu was crispy but I figure their signature spicy version should be even better. Takoyaki was above average.
Didn't try the specialty mixers and drinks coz they were pretty pricey (they look great on the menu though). Would be great if they served iced water FOC but being a small establishment with limited seating in a "landed" premises I think that's forgivable.
Theme cafe with extensive menu, good for beer/drinks and snacks/cakes. Owners really put in a lot of effort to zhng the asthetics of the place. The AE86 on display even has a paper cup in it.
The cups provided had the iconic label printed.
Food was decent but quite pricey.
They also sell variety of Initial D themed items, merchandise and even auto detailing products.
Here for the hype, unlikely to return for food or drinks.
I'd give it 5/5. The food was remarkable! Especially the fujiwara tofu dish. The combination of the fried tofu and the chili was just exploding in your mouth. The unagi was just great, really tender and didn't have an earthy smell. Gyoza for me is also delicious with the juice of the meat coming out when I bite through it.
The ambience of the place is just awesome, you can see the owner's collection of miniature JDM cars. Also they played eurobeat songs that are used in the anime. The owner is also very friendly.
Came on a Sat evening and it was quiet - exactly how I like it. There are a few fairly unique dishes and they were all pretty good.
Chanced upon this place on Google Map. For a while I thought I stumbled onto a place in Japan by mistake. But it was not a mistake and it is a bistro in Geylang. It’s a great place to chill over a glass of cold beer, have some snacks, chat, and admire the deco.
Definately a MUST if you're a fan of Initial D ! More of a hangout spot with some mates a few drinks/snacks... Snacks are abit small and pricey but you come here for the nostalgia and vibes ! They also sell merch as well. Be sure to take some photos for the gram 📷
Expensive but great for car theme fan. Atmosphere is good but with heavy fried food smell at outdoors (don't wear your fav shirt). Photoshoot at their Initial D displayed car is allowed even if you never eat there. PS you can park your car inside their compound. Final verdict: go one time won't go again.
Our first Fujiwara Tofu shop (藤原とうふ店) - Initial D Concept in Geylang area (169 Sims Avenue).
Was lucky to visit the shop over the weekend and the shop was having a simulator racing competition. Patrons were given a chance to try out or compete for the best timing per lap. Not sure what's the price though 🤔
Sport bar type of food and merchandises available for sale for Initial D Manga fans 😁
Go check it out!
Like the wise saying, "If you drink, don't drive; no matter how good your driving skill is."
Great place to hangout with friends and family as they open very late! Love this place! Food nice as well! I love the Horoyoi white grape beer from Suntory, 3% alcohol sweet and very fragrant grapes fav.
Visited on 8 Dec 2023 for a Xmas dinner gathering and subsequent group ride to orchard Rd to see Xmas lights 😀
Lovely place for foodies who appreciate fast cars, drifting and Japanese style food. The is indoor air-conditioned sittings and outdoor sittings with fans.
The tv that is looping the videos, i would suggest that we can have snippets of the anime Initial D and food service n presentation are great but the price point is a bit on the high when it is serving as "tapas" styled. However great place for beers and pictures taken for IG! Thank you for having one in SG for all Initial D fans.
Seeing this in reality is quite astounding. Good ambience and pretty creative food menu. A good spot for a couple of working blokes to chill out after the day ends.
Wish they air the Battle Stages instead.
Very authentic Initial D atmosphere and Concept.
Unfortunately by the time we got there, most of the menu items had already been sold out.
Milk pudding spring rolls are really good! Yuzu milk was unique too. The fujiwara tofu was quite disappointing though (nothing special to shout about)
Amazing place to chill after a long day! Kind owner and amazing car culture at the shop! Definitely recommend for car enthusiasts!
Randomly drove past this place on the way to Phoon Huat at Sims Lane. Decided to pop by to give it a try.
Here's a review entirely ignoring the fact that its an Initial D inspired shop.
The food is cooked well. Its tasty and its obvious there was care and effort put into making the dishes. I suspect not all the food was made from scratch but the person doing the cooking is doing a good job cooking.
We had a plethora of food and I think the stand-out was the oysters. The oysters were briny and juicy with the batter giving a good crunch to it. The tofu was also good, it had a nice spicy chili on top that was tasty and not too spicy.
The people working there were friendly and pleasant.
Its great that the place has a few carpark lots for those who drive. Looks like a nice place to hang out if you're into motor vehicles (cars and bikes i guess) or to just grab drinks and chill (provided you didn't drive).
the food and drink are quite nice and the staff is very helpful
if can have a Toyota AE86 Truneo or Subaru WRX STI at the store right hand side, at least everyone still can take photo
Love this place. Wonderful decor and super delicious food. Only down side is the parking..
Great Cafe, Great Vibes, Cool cars. This place is definitely worth the visit for car enthusiasts!
Great food and good experience.... very friendly staff n service...,will visit again in near future
Limited seating place. But food is tasty and the place is cozy.
