Reviews of Live Twice
Found ourselves a cozy spot in this intimate space, and a good selection of whiskey-based cocktails I'd fancy. Service was attentive, but not intrusive. A bar I'll keep coming back to.
Lovely intimate spot to chill with small group of friends. Cocktails are strong, service is fantastic. Food is tasty but pricey and portions aren't big. Happy hour drinks sgd18 before 8pm. Normal priced drinks are sgd28.
Didn't make any reservation but was lucky to get a cushioned seat good for 2 near entrance. At 9pm we were informed we might have to give up our seats to 2nd round seating and move upstairs, but we managed to stay at our seats till 11pm.
Place is not too cold but cold enough, complimentary iced water is constantly refilled, retro songs playing over speakers weren't too loud.
2 drinks at normal price, 3 drinks at happy hour price, and 3 small dishes came up to sgd195.
Despite the price tag, will definitely be back because of the strong drinks and great chill vibe that allowed for an enjoyable evening.
We had a lovely time at Live Twice! The team was attentive and extremely friendly. The exceptional service, atmospheric charm and classy vibe certainly made it an A+ experience. Cocktails were great too!
Just one humble request - can (David) Kim’s Fried Chicken be on the permanent menu???
Quaint little Japanese bar. Love the ambience. It was dimly lit but not too dim. They allowed us to bring our own birthday cakes in to celebrate!!
Food-wise, it's on the pricey side but relatively good quality. Chicken tsukune had interesting texture and flavor. Pork katsu sando is $35, most expensive sando I ever tried! It's good but I'm not sure if it's worth the price. The spicy rigatoni is my fav dish, it's chewy and flavorful, not too jelat.
Cocktail was good. I think there were only 4 cocktails on the happy hour list, affordably priced around 16 if I recall correctly. There was free flow crackers, which my friends and I enjoyed.
Note: there's no more 1 for 1 sandos for happy hour.
The ambience of the bar was wonderful. I had to sit next to strangers around a common table which may not be comfortable for some. I ordered two drinks, drops of dew and first snow. Their drinks are clean and I love the simplicity of the glasses. Drops of dew was not bad but I loved First Snow. It was sweet with an ending note of cream which I enjoyed.
Love their sando more than their drinks, but its a chill and comfy bar to hangout
This place is fantastic! Visited recently for some after-dinner drinks and already looking forward to my next visit.
The best thing about this bar is how it feels like a pocket of space that's totally removed from the rest of the outram area - very intimate and immersive. The blend of Western mid century and Japanese minimalism is very nice and sleek but also cosy and warm.
It's great for a date or for a hang-out with your friends. The service is great and the cocktails are some of the best in Singapore!
I truly love this bar. Probably my best pick of all Jigger group. It's sleek yet not up-tight. And I love the fact that it isn't loud! The head barman (David Kim) is from Korea, so yes, great.
They do offer happy hour from 6-8pm. Not so much of my kinds. But floradora wasn't bad. (16 SGD per glass)
But the bar boasts this whole 007 vibe, as the bar is named after Fleming's You Only Live Twice, hence Live Twice. I just liked the name, so I popped in there.
The signature of the bar is undoubtedly Vesper. Bond's true love and the embodiment of his aura. And it was really good. Less icy, so easy to drink. (It's really cold there, so bear in mind of icy Vesper.) 26 or 28 per glass, if I am not mistaken.
For lone drinkers, you are escorted to the huge table where you can mingle with other drink companies.
Food was yum !!!! Wagyu sando was so tender ! My friend and I were super full after. Spicy rigatoni was also delicious! Drinks were good and happy hour is worth :). Will be back to try the drinks off the happy hour menu ! Chill vibe and great service! They play "old" time music which matches their concept and atmosphere well. Although I'd be keen if they brought in some Japanese songs from that Era too ;).
chanced upon this bar from word of mouth and was pleasantly surprised to know how much i loved it !! cocktails were all great (i had 3), very ADDICTIVE !!!! bar snacks LOL (pls keep this snacky snack) and very friendly staff <3 would love to return soon !!
Tucked in one of the shophouses in between outram park and tanjong pagar along Neil road, this Japanese and Nancy Sinatra (You only live twice) inspired modern bar evokes conversations with their intriguing menu (one page of cocktails for your life, another for your dreams). Unfortunately we didn’t try to live our first life and jumped straight into our dreams cocktails but the taste of the cocktails didn’t really suit our tastebuds. Thought the ingredients seemed ok but the result was either a medicine taste or really smoky stuff which wasn’t intended to be (or so we think).
Reservations are recommended, and they have tastefully compartmentalized the area into little enclaves of seating tables and sofas to ensure privacy for groups and yet have an open table for the rest. Staff is really nice and friendly, kudos to the lady who took the plunge and helped us order our food because we were running late. There was no way she could verify if we were really coming (but we truly needed food) so we were super grateful for her help and think that for such establishments, such acts of service is required if not we probably would have gone to another place.
Glad that we ordered the food though as it’s the highlight of the venue. Special shoutouts for their ebi prawn sandwiches (big and filling), octopus and potato salad (never knew such combi is so good), and the chips served with the cocktails are our most favourite type ever. I stand by my belief that all bars should serve chips along with drinks.
Phone signal might be hard to catch here, thus better to ask for their free WiFi.
Great cocktails, awesome service. They’ve got their own in house concoctions but I was boring and went with a classic negroni. A little on the sweet side for my liking but still pretty decent.
The vesper cocktail was highly recommended and I can see why now. This thing packs a punch so watch out. We tried a total of 6 cocktails that I can’t for the life me recall their names but they were all terrific. Will definitely come back on an empty stomach to try their food cos it looks pretty good too.
Drinks are tasty, with complex layers.
Would like to give special thanks to service crew, Satomi, for being so hospitable! She made us feel so at home and even went above and beyond to recommend us supper places! Thanks much, Satomi 🙏
It’s perfect for me! The staff are friendly, knowledgeable about their beverages, and can recommend drinks that suit my taste. I also love the vibe of the place!
Enjoyed our time at this lil cosy bar. Staff were friendly, attentive and helpful with drinks recommendation. Thanks to Kelvin, Yingying and Joan for the great service! Kudos to Satomi san for the delicious creations and lovely stories 😊 Will be back again!
Small portion drinks in plastic glasses. Speaks volumes. The entire experience is forgettable to honest. Ambiance feels like a hotel lobby bar if that’s your thing. It’s not mine. Miss the old place Flagship. On a positive note, the chicken karaage was quite good.
Such a quiet n cosy setting for chatting. We are probably the loudest shameless guests. Love the cocktail and friendly staff. (So full from their super addictive snacks)
A concept by Jigger & Pony group, Live Twice transports you to Japan in another time, with its alluring shoji screens and warm dim lighting. The setting is cosy and intimate, great for date nights or small groups.
Poetically named by Japanese classics and Geisha names, the cocktails are well balanced that pairs nicely with the food recommended by the friendly and polite staff. The Vesper and pork sando was our pick of the night.
Step inside to find minimalist wooden décor, giving off a relaxed Muji-like ambiance. The cherry on top? The playlist—it’s a blast from the past with catchy tunes from the 60s and 70s. You might even catch yourself singing along! 🤣 As for drinks, there’s a selection of three pages of cocktails, each featuring Japanese spirits. They’re served elegantly, but be warned—they come with a hefty price tag. At $28 per cocktail, including tax and service charge, it’ll set you back $35.5 a glass. 😅 Despite the cost, the staff are charming, friendly, and add a touch of class to the experience.
Nice cosy place for a catch-up with friends. Manager was really nice and had good service. Cocktails were clean and neat, very Japanese style and easy to drink, not too sweet. Food Platter was a bit expensive for the portion. One star less because one of the staff mentioned that the music couldn't be turned down (it was very loud I could barely hear my friend) and was quite rude about it until we spoke to the manager.
Cosy nice bar , make u feel like In Japan. Happy hour drinks are very worth it from 5-7:30 pm. Near to MRT Outram:)
had drinks and chill~ there’s limited time for dining and drinking. It can get quite noisy overall, a good drinking experience!
Great place with great service. Be good if drinks had less ice though!
Great decoration, better sit at the back to enjoy the cozyness of the place, otherwise the open entrance kinda brings down the ambience. Good cocktails and attentive service. Haven't tried the food, menu looks appetizing but price is pretty steep for mostly small bites.
Great bar! The interior design is really nice. Influenced by the classic bars from the 60’s. The cocktails are also really good. A favourite in Singapore. Friendly service. Listen to “Live twice” by Nancy Sinatra and enjoy! 😁
One of my fav cocktail spots with cosy ambience and great drinks.
Was a bit bummed to be informed that their kitchen is under renovation till Q1 2023, and that my friend visiting Singapore didn't get to try their awesome sandos. But all the more another reason for her to return!
Looking forward to the upgraded kitchen and menu next year ❤️
Excellent drinks, wonderful service, vintage furniture.
I first discovered them during lock down when they were doing home deliveries and thought their drinks were innovative. Finally got a chance to done in and was still amazed at their very interesting Japanese-influenced cocktail drinks. The ambience was chill and relaxed where we could have a good time catching up with friends. The staff serving us, Jeremy Leong, was attentive and very helpful whenever we needed recommendations. Would definitely be back again!
Awesome drinks, great bar snacks and lovely service.
Nice interiors but that's about it. The drinks weren't that great and the concept doesn't live up to the interiors. I see that it's trying to go simulate bars in Tokyo, but I've had better cocktails elsewhere. Service was ok.
The cocktails were imaginative, innovative without being random. A lot of thought went into the recipes. The drinks were sufficiently strong and not watered down. Good quality. Excellent service by knowledgeable staff.
A hidden gem of a bar, oozing Japanese chic. The timber panelled room is at once warm and inviting but also high end and classy. The cocktails are delicious (try their take on a southside) and can be paired brilliantly with their delicious food (the Sandos deserve a shout out) From the brains of Jigger and Pony group, this place is well worth a try.
Great Japanese fusion bar with beautifully crafted drinks. Absolutely love the mid century modern interior decor. Will visit again
Very nice Japanese inspired decor. Layout is interesting in a good way. Food is lovely. Cocktails are good. Wine list could be improved.
Jigger group and head bartender Yin Ying do not disappoint. The ambience is fantastic, the good is great, and the cocktails are awesome, as is expected of Jigger group. Take a bow, Live Twice team, I will surely be back.
A bit hidden, not a fan of their cocktail
Small quaint Japanese bar with excellent furniture
Pretty awesome food for a bar....and the drinks do not disappoint
This was my 4th visit and as always was a wonderful experience. Served by Satomi san who is very attentive and her kmowledge of drinks is phenomenal. Everyone enjoyed the evening
Favourite bar in Singapore! Beautiful interior, delicate cocktails in gorgeously thin glassware, attentive service
Really good Japanese Style Bar.
The food is good love beef sando
Very unique ambience, great drinks and especially attentive service staff that could keep up with how much water I drank!
Nice little spot for a date night. Season special was excellent recommendation.
very very good service. drinks are strong but doesn't blend as well as nutmeg and clove
Drinks were amazing, and service was superb! Food was also great, will visit again!
I like the place! It’s a lovely setting- but drinks-wise I prefer it’s neighbour’s- Gibson!
Very enjoyable place for drinks with excellent service. However, drinks were disappointing especially at $25++ per drink.
Cocktails are killer, on point. Service is impeccable, amazing crew.
Can’t stop at just 1 cocktail! Great ambience!
Relax n chill place to free up the mind
Love this place!!!
Great experience
My favorite bar in Singapore
I had a hard time finding a bar that I liked enough that I wanted to come back again, so I was very happy when I found this place!
I really like the Japanese-Scandinavian atmosphere of the interior and the soothing music.
But what I like most is that you can enjoy delicious cocktails at Kimura Kikatsu. I love Kimura glass and use it at home, so I was very surprised when Kimura glass came out without knowing anything about it!
I wanted to talk to the shop staff about Kikatsu, but after being really hesitant, I decided to talk to them. (In Singapore, there are many people who don't have knowledge about the products and glasses they offer, so I'd be shocked if the store I liked was like that...)
Fortunately, the Korean male waiter I spoke with was very knowledgeable, which made me like this restaurant even more.
I like Baby Star Ramen, so I really like the snacks here. I think the cutlet sandwich is the most delicious in Singapore.
All of the seasonal cocktails are always delicious, and it is one of the few shops in Singapore that I keep coming back to.
There is also a Japanese bartender. There are also cocktails that cost around 30$ per cocktail and 20$ for a happy hour.
The wine was delicious and the service was good, but the lighting was too warm!
