Reviews of Smoke & Mirrors
Great views with some pretty good drinks! The staff were great and very friendly. I was lucky enough to try Angelic Bliss, a drink inspired by the tang yuan dessert. It was definitely my favorite of the night and definitely hit the spot. I think it should be put on the menu!
Other drinks tried were A Wish and Say Cheese. Besides Angelic Bliss, the drinks were a bit too sweet for me, but I like really strong drinks.
The smoked duck was done real good as well, perfectly juicy with a really nice smoke flavor.
Unfortunately cocktails had the last call already so I wasn’t able to try a strong creation from the head bartender. I’ll definitely be back again though!
Walked in on Friday night, lucky we got seats for 4. We ordered cocktails but server didn’t tell the story behind the drinks as usual. Which was a bit disappointing compared to previous visits.
I recently visited Smoke & Mirrors with friends and was blown away by the exceptional service and unforgettable experience. Despite not having a reservation, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, even securing my favorite outdoor table. Our server was friendly, attentive, and provided personalized recommendations, making the evening truly special. The cocktails were delicious, and the stories behind them added to the enjoyment. Overall, Smoke & Mirrors exceeded all expectations and is continuously my favourite rooftop bar and top choice for drinks with a view in Singapore. Highly recommend!
Started off with some hiccups on my reservation, but thanks to Fifi who assisted us for the table and orders. He had gone above and beyond on excellent service! You've made my birthday experience with my girls here exceptional! Once again thanks to Fifi ! You are exceptional..!! 5 stars service goes to Fifi !!!
Sitting in the bar and looking at the unique view is incredible. Really lucky that the bar has managed to organise a great table for me and my frd!!
*Remember to make a reservation before going! Worth!
I recently dined at Smoke and Mirrors and had a mixed experience. The food was just okay, nothing to write home about. The cocktails were so-so, and the service didn't wow me. However, the breathtaking views from the restaurant were truly amazing. The only downside was that it felt a bit too warm, and the chairs weren't very comfortable. I might come back when I have tourists visiting, for its view overlooking Marina Bay Sands, but definitely not for the food or service…
Came here to celebrate my sis’ birthday. The food is great for a bar. And the view is amazing. Outdoor seating came with 60$ min spending per pax which was easy to hit. The service is amazing:)
Located on the rooftop of the National Gallery Singapore, Smoke and Mirrors offers a spectacular panoramic view of Singapore’s skyline along with creative cocktails. The menu at Smoke and Mirrors tastefully connects with works of art located in the National Art Gallery with liquid creations developed by the bar team of Mel Chavez and Wee Siong.
located on the rooftop of the national gallery, the themes of each cocktail intersect beautifully with the pieces in the museum downstairs. each drink very intricately woven and explained to the customer. quite an interesting experience haha, good vibes, good views. will be back ! especially now i know the menu changes !!
Happy Hour cocktails with friends. Decent food and refreshing cocktails.
Probably one of the best bar with the best view of Singapore, you get the sweeping view from downtown to MBS. It is usually very packed and impossible to get seat on the weekend but I was lucky to have a seat right at the front and I guess this only works on weekdays.
Cocktails was quite decent though the taste can be hit and miss. I guess I would recommend for anyone first time to Singapore.
Nice roof top view in Singapore. Can take nice photo
Great range of fun cocktails. Given the premium location & superb view of the Singapore buildings including Marina Bay, the food and drinks are on the pricier end. Friendly and attentive staff.
A 5* experience for us. Good food and fantastic cocktails, enhanced by the contrasting view of the Marina and city at dusk (630-830pm), with great service from Joshua - a perfect evening to show off the beauty of Singapore to our guests both local and visitors from abroad.
So me and my finace found this place hand delivering a pizza from a local bar after making friends with the owners.
My word! I did not know what I was getting myself into. This venue has the nicest and most generous hospitality staff. Great conversations were had along with equally as good cocktails (thank you for all the free shots and champagne to celebrate our recent engagement).
You know a place is this good when you don't even need to mention the views...which are in my opinion the best in all of singapore.
Come here.
We loved this roof top bar which had brilliant views across to the Marina Bay Sands. The cocktail menu is imaginative & all come with specially designed glasses with some more pleasing on the eye than others (check out ‘The Wish’ which is a mini Trevor fountain!). 1 to not miss!
Walked in to Smoke and Mirrors on Saturday night. We were quite late as it was an impromptu visit at about 11pm. Didnt have any reservation but so glad there were tables available. The door staff was helpful and provided us with a table within 15minutes.
Smoke and Mirrors has a very great ambience and view; it overlooks the MBS skyline. Staffs were very professional and patient. They explained the menu.
I think its a hidden gem and it wasnt crowded and the patrons were mostly elegant and classy group.
I would recommend Smoke and Mirrors because of the great choice of drinks and ambience. I would rate them a 5 but had to give a 4 due to the fact that the food kitchen closes 2hrs before the bar closing time! I mean like why need to close 2hrs earlier, doesnt make sense. I cant even order a single finger food.
Fantastic place with amazing cocktails..10/10 would make this my apocalypse home. We were several drinks down with recommended drinks based on our preference before even deciding to see the menu. Edu our bartender welcomed us like an old friend which made the experience best.
Omg . Fantastic bar in Singapore. The first time come here and so enjoy drink and view 🥰.
The view is fantastic. Even better vantage point than looking over from places on much higher floors. Had the local beer Bohemian Lager on tap while my colleagues had Smoke on the water cocktail. Very unique smoke infused mixed wine. Food was good too. Must try the lamb taco, so delish ! So buffalo wings have a real spicy kick !
Very nice cocktail bar. We had a bit of a hard time finding it, but once we were there we enjoyed our time there very much. Our waiter was very kind and attentive, always ready to give recommendations, which I appreciated. Cocktails were great, view is nice.
It was a really beautiful bar, with amazing view of Marina Bay. Set on top of the national gallery in the civic district, do try to place reservation for the outdoor seats. Do note there is no fan/ air conditioning, so dress accordingly.
The drinks were delightful. Cha cha duet was my first poison of choice - a delightful fruity, tea infused cocktails which turned into three different drinks: recommended for those who like sweet and sour drinks. It was super smooth and went down very easily - highly recommended if you're up for something experimental.
Second drink was monkey god: a rye whiskey based cocktail with a sweet depiction of a yin and yang on a rice sheet, placed on top of the drink. It was refreshing and smooth drink, highly recommended.
Service team was delightful and attentive, regularly checking and topping up our water.
One advice: don't order the fries, the portion was really small :(
DEFINITELY A STEAL! Night life lovers are recommended to see the beaut of this city light🌃✨ Though they require advance booking, we came there without any but were quickly catered to have a table.❤️

Very good service. Fantastic view. Excellent lobster noodles. Fried chicken with chili was good. Whitebait juicy, but salmon cracklings mediocre. Good mango and ice cream dessert. Not a fan if my mocktail (Mellow Grandpa) - too acidic for my taste.
Wonderful afternoon cocktail. Not your run of the mill cocktails - really nice unique concoctions. Interesting experience explained upfront. Very crispy shoestring fries although not sure the truffle mayo was that truffle-y. Fantastic view.
Rooftop bar with one of the best view in Singapore.
Stunning views of Singapore, this is one of the best ambience restaurants here. Lovely cocktails and drinks!
Always a great place to chill after a visit to the national gallery.
Quite like the cheese platter, goes well with the liquid offerings.
Favorites on this visit - smoke on the water and 1959
The view is definitely worth a visit, but don’t keep your hope to high for the drinks.
The menu looks fantastic, and the presentation of the drinks are nice. Tastewise, nothing really amazed me, and our group tried 4 different drinks from the menu.
This hidden gem is an amazing bar at the top of the national art gallery (former court house) with breathtaking views of the marina. Really magical. The staff are wonderful and super accommodating. The cocktails are innovative and expertly made. Would say this is a must visit if you’re in Singapore. Really impressive.
Great for date night. Another fave spot that I see myself hanging out at. Had their signature drinks, champagne and open a bottle of Moscato. Bar snacks and food is from Yan restaurant downstairs. Roasted pork belly two thumbs up.
No complementary parking at National Gallery though
Amazing view of MBS, the bay, and the financial district. Drinks were more than just drinks - they were art. Servers were top notch
Great place for an evening dinner or hi tea. The ambiance is excellent 5/5. Great views of singapore skyline and it overlooks the field at marina sqaure. Strikes a perfect note with romantics and sports enthusiasts alike. Food is good and service is great.
What an incredible place with one of the best views of singapore..drink is great and the starters we ordered are good .. e.g generous salmon portion on the salad. The view outside is more impressive and spacious than i have imagined.Highly recommend!
Mikey and the entire staff were fantastic - lovely cocktails with a great view. Highly recommend
if you are looking for artistic cocktails and spectacular views this is the place. cocktails on higher end of price range. see the latest drink titled a wish - inspired by the trevi fountain in italy
Damn nice will be there once again it was very humid and hot tho. One thing I disappointed was they made the calculation mistake on our bill.
But when I complained about this, the staff quickly responded to void and made the correct payment.
Everything was perfect other than this :)
Fancy rooftop bar with great view. Cocktails very good, quitr strong and pricey but recommended
A little tricky to get to or find your way up there, but the location is very nice and has great views of Marina Bay Sands. Cocktails are very innovative with the drawings in the menu a great added touch of how they deconstruct the cocktail.
Phenomenal view, and excellent value for money with their 1 for 1 cocktails from 3 to 5pm. Staff were also incredibly attentive, patient, and friendly despite there being many patrons.
A word of "warning" that the 1 for 1 is only valid for the exact same cocktail ordered, so if you're looking to try more than one you'll have to get four. That's a happy problem, in my book.
Walk-in as the booking need deposit. For balcony seating there will be minimum spend for 50sgd per pax. Without any much hassle, settled down at indoor couch & watched the busy bartenders
One of the popular cocktails bars in town with vibrant atmosphere, impeccable service, amazing drinks and excellent viiew of the city. Perched on top floor of National Gallery with 180° unblock view of Esplanade, MBS, and Raffles Place. Makes it a popular Instagrammable spot. Would appreciate if they have outdoor fans.
Highly recommend Smoke & Mirror for customized takeaway cocktails! Asked for a set and they managed to do same day delivery for a special day! Really appreciate the interesting flavours!
Nice atmosphere, great service by staffs. I like Zen cocktail.
Fantastic view and amazing ambience!
Amazing view on the bay and the Padang. Great cocktails, very original. Quite expensive but worth it.
Just... wow! I was looking forward to our evening there and was definitely not disappointed. Fabulous experience that I will remember for a long time. The views are breathtaking especially at night and we could even see the preparations for the F1 infrastructure. The cocktail was amazing and there's a really big choice, the food was delicious, the staff 10/10 and the overall vibe with the music was just so enjoyable.
Little pricey bar though with lovely views of the Singapore skyline. Have a unique selection of drinks e.g. one of the drinks we ordered came in the form of bird’s nest! Better to call and reserve a place if you plan to visit on a Friday evening or the weekend.
One of my favorite bars, wonderful view and cozy.
We celebrated the final night of our honeymoon and were so well looked after by Fifi and the team! Cocktails were delicious, service is 10/10 and the location with the stunning views of MBS and Singapore is hard to beat. Highly recommend! We will be back.
Very trendy rooftop bar. They have a good choice of cocktails and shake a perfect Singapore sling. The view from the top is awesome. After entrance after closing hours of the gallery, is via the side door. Makes for a wonderful evening.
Very nice place with great views and ambience. Friendly staff, but the service was very slow.
Good service and view! Nice drinks, food is also yummy. Highly recommended!!!
Nice place with a gorgeous view. Went for Aioka’s experience - chills and relaxing, view 💯
This place has everything:
Spectacular view (10 out of 10)
Great food!! (9 out of 10)
Thoughtfully curated cocktails (100 out of 10!)
But what made our visit here extra special was the accommating staff members and bartenders. (1000 out of 10!!) Everyone is so nice and a special shout-out to those who accommodated us and made us feel welcome: JV, Kat, Wei Ling and Zen.
I will definitely be back simply for that last reason but everything else is a nice bonus.
Great view. Cocktails are very unique and tasty as well. Book in advance if you want nice view!
The bar with the best view in Singapore. And great cocktails. The food is fine but not the reason why you go. You go for cocktails and the view.
Decent cocktail with amazing view. There’s a minimum spend of $200 per table of 4.
brought my boyfriend to celebrate his birthday at S&M and we both enjoyed ourselves very much ! we were so happy we got an outdoor seats with a beautiful view of the city! food was filling and delicious ! staff were very friendly and served us wonderfully throughout our dine-in experience with S&M ! definitely worth the price we paid and will come back again in the future !
This was a nice setting for drinks on the fourth floor overlooking the bay. The Singapore sling and braised beef with potatoes were great.
It was our honeymoon so the host gave us some champagne on the house. It was a good experience and the hostess was great.
Drinks were great, and needed to be for the price point. Appetizers and snacks left more to be desired. Great view of the bay and service was great too.
I totally recomend this place. Staff is great and friendly, food is delicious and the mexican-inspired menu is one of the bests I have tried.
8.75/10
Spectacular views, well curated drinks and snack-able food
I ordered a gift from Smoke and Mirrors- the classic cocktails and the large Hanky Panky. They were great ! Delivered on time, the packaging was beautiful! And they were able to print a message on the label though I ordered last minute for delivery the next day !
I cannot recommend them enough !
Had an awesome time here. Jerryl the magician is a must see!
Great view. Loved their cocktails. Korean speaking staff was very helpful.
Bit pricey but you're paying for the view and ambience. Service was good, water was constantly being filled up without asking.
Was my first night in Singapore and I came across this bar that had such a spectacular view. The bartender Maxxmaziz made me amazing drinks throughout the night and even recommended me some really nice places to check out for the rest of my stay. Music was great and staff was very helpful. Definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Singapore.
It's a bar with a good atmosphere, good view, and a variety of menus to choose from. The view from this restaurant is the best. I recommend it.
The view and atmosphere are great, but the service is not. We ordered a full bottle of champagne and the waiter didn't even know to pour it. After I gave a 50 tip and told him to take more care of our table, it was still the same unprofessional service. One hour before closing time, the waiters began to collect the outdoor tables and chairs (tables without customers) collectively, which greatly affected the experience. I won't go there again, there is almost no service, I have to ask the waiter for help.
Peaceful setting on the roof of a museum, good food and stunning views of the Marina Bay Sands and Downtown. A must try
It's the best.
The location is difficult to find and I had a hard time getting there, but Marina Bay Sands can be seen right in the middle and the atmosphere is nice.
The drinks with flowers were delicious and cute, and it was a wonderful night.
Perfect for a date. I definitely recommend it and would like to go again ♥
3.5/5🌟
When I came here two years ago, I thought the wine was just average. This time I still think it’s average (but it’s very flashy and gimmicky xs🤣). I’ll give it a 0.5🌟~
Then I ate their bar snacks this time. Unexpectedly, the chicken wings were so delicious! ! ! ! This chicken wings is worth 3🌟! ! !
Chill night with family 🥰
It is located on the upper floor of the National Gallery. The location is relatively secluded. It is recommended to take the elevator to the fifth floor and then walk one floor from the atrium garden to enter. The service staff are enthusiastic and considerate. They also remember the birthday of the person who made the reservation. The outdoor scenery is very beautiful. , highly recommended for a pleasant evening.
1. Worth a visit just for the view alone
2. Advance reservation for terrace is required
3. The cocktail tastes okay.
4. Dark lighting
