Z.No frills, proper old school malay barber at $12 for adults.
J. Q.Was served by a friendly elderly uncle. He told me he just joined the shop recently. His barbering skill is solid and its impressive that he has such good dexterity at his age. The cut is good… but it wasn’t really what I requested for. I showed him a picture of a textured french crop which he barely glanced at and just said ‘short ah, ok’… ended up with a side part. I think maybe this is not the place if you want more modern cuts but you can try if you’re happy with classic cuts like side parts or high and tight. I don’t rule out coming back but will probably stick to my usual place, Lucky Star, which is in the building next door.

lucky me as their usual closing time is 6.30 and i got in at 7.45pm and it felt like a head massage haircut
J. P.This place is a treasure hidden in the corner of beauty world center. Modern cuts, old school finesse at very affordable price ($10) I paid double the price because the barber really took his time and put in the effort to make it good. But be warned... go only if you could spare 1hr waiting time, especially on weekends... they are this popular. Or be ther first customer.
N. Y.Been going to the same guy for over 5 years now. At just $10 in 2021, cik afi maintains craftsmanship and skills in cutting your hair in your desired style. Many say the queue is pretty long, but maybe that's a reason for being a skillful barber. Take a walk or go for hike or something instead of just sitting around waiting for your turn.
Update 2022: afi still rocking the clippers. The lone ranger manning the shop.
