Reviews of Baker & Cook - Namly
Had freshly baked bread & viennoserie with Raspberry jam ($10)- more than Enough for 2 people. Yum! Cappuccino was ok, can b better with less foamed milk.
Nice cafe hidden at the neighborhood of namly. Worth a visit for a nice cup of coffee and a simple baguel to start the day. Friendly staff and great service too.
Nice little coffee/tea/bakery joint.
Good and welcoming service, which makes it a good place to come too.
However, the place can be "echo-ey".... if pple are talking too loudly, it can get rather noisy and not a place to stick around too long and relax...
Dog-friendly place. Food and coffee are ok. Price is not average, on the slightly higher side. Overall is good to chill.
Love coming here for a break or just to catch up with a friend. It's located deep within a landed housing estate. Street parking is fairly ample (I haven't tried peak periods) and the premise is often not crowded.
The staff are generally courteous and prompt in doing their work. Quality of food is similar to the other outlets and is good. Prices are commensurate with the ambience and quality. I would say it's good value for money.
The staff were helpful & friendly! Thank you so much for allowing me to charge my laptop even for 10 mins in the office! It was of great help 🙏🏽 For context, you’re not allowed to use the outlets cause of some electricity issue. So I asked if they could help me out & they did!
The cappuccino was quite good, especially the chocolate (I think) topping!
Will come back again!
Can get very busy on the weekends in the mornings and often the staff cant cope so you need to be patient.
The last couple of times i called in and ordered takeaway, they put the wrong items in the bags and I hadn’t noticed until i got home. I now have to ask them to show me, before they put them in bags so as to avoid disappointment. I have also experienced on at least 2 occasions, incidents when they have forgotten my ham and cheese croissants and have had to remind them. All 3rd world problems, but it does happen more often than not.
The food is worth the wait though and the quality very good, just be vigilant and patient!
We had the no. 7 pizza (truffle mushrooms), Spanish omelette and truffle fries. True to sourdough expectations, the pizza crust was chewy on the inside and crisp on the outside; however, the soggy middle (a common issue with plank!) was a letdown, and somehow the mushrooms lacked flavour. Spanish omelette for $17++ is ridiculous, it's just.... An omelette... With a few slices of dry bread.... And some simple ingredients thrown into the omelette. Truffle fries were yummy (salty, but we like salty haha) and decent portion.
Excellent coffee. Breakfast portions great taste but far too big. We buy all our bread here and burger buns too.
Mar 2019. Picked up my usual unsliced wholemeal. Quiet with plenty of available tables. It had a adjoining pizzeria. Popular spot for families with kids.
1 more star for owner's down-to-earth involvement 😎
Great little local version of the chain. Tucked away in the quiet back streets, not far from a park for the kids. Great selection of bread and pastries, just wish the coffee was a little better.
Great croissants tho prefer Tiong Bharu Bakery. We like strong coffee and thought it was great. Ambience too! I liked the Pastrami sandwich but wife thought it had too much mustard and so was a bit too sour. We'll be back to try the sourdough pizza next door (they share space).
A wonderful coffee & breads haven! Coffee is never better than when Vangie is there. She makes a perfectly decorated, perfectly temperatured cup! The newer less experienced barristas are just that. Food is always as promised, and the ambience for a good cup in tranquil Urban housing estate setting (on weekdays only) is unbeatable. We all miss Third who is now at the Dempsey outlet, much to the good fortune of customers there!
Lovely cafe, great coffee, amazing salads and great ambience
BUT their air conditioning is bad. So avoidable if u dont want to sweat
Request to their management: pls look into this urgently. Not comfortable for ur customers. thanks
Nice breakie selections, especially the smashed avocado breakfast. Limited seating, so it's good for 2-4 people max even without the pandemic limitations.
New bakery and cafe in Namly! Next to it is Plank Sourdough Pizza
Mochaccino: 4.5 stars
Canele: 2 stars
Not enough caramelisation flavour or crispiness on the outside.
Ambience was nice and chill on a Wed afternoon, would be a nice place to hang out and get some work done.
Great place for a quick breakfast with the kids. They have great options for both adults and kids. Suitable to go buy a coffee and croissant or sit down for a full on breakfast.
It's quiet! Good juices! Delicious 'pain au chocolat aux amandes'! Perfect to stop by with your dog, there's water for them.
They have a great gluten-free orange and almond cake here. They also sell gluten free bread on Wednesday and Saturday.
The food prices aren't low, as expected of eateries at that area - Bukit Timah. But it does offer a good selection of pastries and freshly made pizzas.
Always come here collect foodpanda order and play with doggos. Woof woof
Usually great food but when my friend ordered a sandwich it was essentially 2 slices of bread with a slice of bacon on a plate. Most disappointing!
nice place for a coffee and a bite, best baguette in Singapore, as always not cheap… France x 4
An amazing cafe nestled in the exclusive Namly neighborhood! One of the hidden gems of our little island indeed.
Signature menu are Baked Pizza and salads. Coffee is also good.
Nice bread and pastry with good coffee, tends to be crowded in the morning.
Cozy coffee corner. Great hospitality & service. Good coffee.
Quiet environment, quite a distance to walk from main road
Plank pizzas are tasty and decent value for money
Great breads and cakes, great for breakfast and lunch
