Reviews of BK@328 Clementi
Well known as a haven for those who enjoy keeping aquarium fish, Block 328 is also the place where you can enjoy the famous Ah Ma Lor Mee.
I was in for a pleasant surprise today, when I chanced upon a newly opened stall selling Turkish food.
It's situated in the same coffee shop as the lor mee, and being a fan of Turkish cuisine, I immediately ordered the beef kebab to take away.
It turns out that the friendly owner is from the Middle East and has lived here for over 20years and is already a Singapore citizen. He told me he left his previous job to set up his own business and he's only in his first week here!
One look at the moist layers of chicken on his kebab and from the non stop customers, I could tell it was something special.
I ordered the beef kebab, which was reasonably priced at $7, and am happy to say the portion is generous. The vegetables were cut thickly and there was alot of beef in it. I found the sauce a little too spicy for me, but if you enjoy yours this way, you definitely won't be disappointed. Perhaps there's a slightly non spicy version? I'll have to ask the owner next time.
I highly recommend this stall!
Tried one of the stalls here which serves a small variety of dishes cooked to order. Pricing was good, and food was pretty alright but nothing to scream about and the dishes came out all at once after a short wait. Do note, I am not entirely sure of the location, so it's based on google maps.
Like the Thai food stall here. Basil leaves minced pork is quite spicy. 2nd visit, we ordered pad see yew and fried beehoon. Pad see yew is quite unlike other places. They add cut chili padi spicing the dish up.
For non-spicy consumers, the fried beehoon is a good match. It looks deceivingly plain. There is some bite to the sliced pork and the dish is not too oily. Tasty and the beehoon strands are soft to bite without being broken.
One of the best Malay food stalls in the coffee shop at Blk 328! The owner, and chef, affectionately called abang” (brother) is ever smiling and chatty. Delicious food at reasonable prices. If you’re ever in the neighborhood, do drop by and enjoy the food.. don’t forget to add his special “sambal belacan” (super spicy chilli paste).
Great local comfort food and coffee here. Tried the porridge and mini wok stalls.
Nice looking western food. Simply good taste.
Tried the Tze Char stall here. Ordered fish head curry, crab meat tofu and sweet sour fish. Service was good, stall was manned by several young men, very polite and friendly. Price was decent too. Would definitely return to try other dishes.
Porridge with you tiao warms the heart on a cold day.
It's cosy place for a beer or a cup of tea with a friends or friends as it's usually not crowded. Good place to catch up. The coffeeshop operator is friendly and obliging and Zhi char food isn't bad. In the morning, the fishball noodle and lor mee stalls are very popular.
New set-up. Good food now. Only coffee shop having online orders for all stalls.
