Recently renovated with rather warm atmosphere. No new stalls (682 Hougang). The refreshed ambience makes one feels comfortable eating here.

Came here specially for the youtiao and fried snacks like red bean pancakes, salted bun, butterfly buns - all at 90cents only. Regulars will just drop by and order to collect later and the queue starts from the panel on the right side (collection on the left). Youtiao especially is freshly fried on the spot so need to wait awhile. Lady boss is very nice. Truly a hidden gem and I’m glad I live relatively close!

Ordered a broadway claypot rice, kway tiao noodle, pork rib. The Zhu chao stall was hiding behind the 麻辣香锅。

The vegetarian food is good but a bit expensive. Satay beehoon you can add 5 sticks of satay for $8.50 not bad. Wanton mee & bak kut teh just normal la.
