Reviews of CherylScones Pte Ltd
Small Cosy scones and vegan restaurant. Must try the Avocado Quinoa Rice.
Only 5-6 tables for small group though.
This shop is run by a wife and husband duo. The wife makes and bakes all the scones from scratch every morning.
They have a soup and scone set available at $11 SGD. It comes with 1 soup of your choice and 2 scone flavours that are available that day.
Soup choices:
1) Wild Mushroom
2) Broccoli Cheese
3) Cauliflower
For the scones you will need to see what is available that day. Their signature is of course their classic scone which was sold out by the time I was there (3:30pm).
This shop sells a total of 36 different types of scones. They even do scone wreaths for special orders (do order online). Delivery fees are $15 SGD which in my personal opinion is expensive so there is an option to order online and self collect.
They have savoury and sweet scones and if you eat at the store they provide butter with the soup and scones set. They also have Gryphon tea available and the Nymph of the Nile was really fragrant and light together with the set we ordered. They also proactively refill your teapots as well.
The space is rather small so it fits only 4 or 5 tables which means that you might have to wait to get seated especially during weekends.
Tip: Visit them on the weekends! The owners told me that they make more flavours available during the weekends :)
Location: Great place for tea and catch up and easily accessible by bus or MRT (closest MRT is Lavender).
Bonus: They have really interesting art pieces hanging on their walls and the owners eagerly shared the artist behind each of the pieces.
Love their sweet scones - I enjoyed the cranberry with lemon drizzle, as well as the lavender scone. Laksa was great too! These actually tasted super yummy even when cold, but even better after being heated!
The soup is the real hidden gem here though! I love how flavourful it was without being oily nor heavy nor overly salty! The texture was great too, and I could taste the mushroom bits in it. I felt sooo nourished and satisfied after the soup
Strangely, I didn’t enjoy the Thyme Double Cheese and Oregano Parmesan that much - thought they were too soft and milky for my liking.
Popped into this quaint and cozy family-ran space on a weekday afternoon which made a nice spot for some quiet time, be it alone or with a friend over scones and tea. Pictured here is the signature Laksa scone that was peppered with Laksa leaves, leaving it slightly spiced but utterly aromatic and moreish. This is only available via pre order online and it’s worth all the effort.
Friendly place to have great-tasting low-sugar scones with clotted cream. We had the butter scotch and it’s good.
Chance upon this shop. Because i am a scone and english tea lover i can’t resist walking. Their scones all look delicious too me. So i ordered the Italian organ cheese and Earl grey tea. Both are fabulous. Recommended 👍
What a gem this little shop!
The scones are so buttery and we are genuinely excited to discover the flavors available when we visit.
They've also been always so nice with the service and always provide informations.
Cherry on top would be to have some clotted cream!
Dropped by for a small snack. Small, cozy shop with retro pieces in an old HDB estate, selling scones in a variety of sweet and savoury flavours. Had the lemon raspberry scone for $3.80. Scone was served warm and fresh, shaped like a mini croissant instead of its generic round shape. Moist, fluffy interior; crust was crunchy! But the lemon icing on the surface disintegrated too easily and therefore the refreshing taste of lemon that I was expecting didn’t come through.
Situated in an unexpected estate of Singapore, where many senior citizens live (maybe she has a strong online presence, since her crowd definitely doesn't come from the retirees).
Cheryl scones is another good alternative if you miss the nearby Heap Seng Leong coffeeshop (for those who enjoy nostalgia-see my other review).
Back to Cheryl scones...you dont need to have western taste buds to enjoy her scones. Her variety of scones definitely need you to come back and try them all.
For me, I'm still an old school chap who loves the original and with her butter and jam, it also takes me to my childhood days.
Do note on their opening hours, as I had to be disappointed a few times when i tried going down. Also don't bring a huge crowd, because it has a very small dining area (just a best friend is good enough).
Price is reasonable, since it has a dining facility and if you are lucky, you might meet Cheryl.
PS: for the locals, you can also use your CDC vouchers!
One of the best scones shop in Singapore...
(I'm a regular there)
Run by passionate group of people.
I'm going to patiently wait for this homegrown eatery to grow into something big, someday.
Terrific scones in unique flavors, hand baked on the premises. Amazing to meet Cheryl, bringing out a new batch straight from the oven. While best warm and fresh, they also have handy instructions for reheating, so you can try all the flavors and have them warm for breakfast next day.
Found this hidden gem behind ICA Kallang. I tried the classic scone and it was perfect! They have 36 varieties and flavoured scones which I need to come back to try out one by one. There are sweet deals too compliment with simple vegetarian dishes which you have to check out, I need to try them too. I am a big fan of scones and used to bake a long time ago, it is a must try #scones here!
Love the fried mushroom quinoa rice. The scones are crispy outside and buttery soft inside. Had the lavender scone and the pandan gula melaka avocado. Wished there was more avocado!
Hotel high tea standard scones. Tried their plain, chocolate and cranberry lemon, all were amazing (came with butter on the side but I bought clotted cream from cold storage to go with them instead). Lala puffs - slightly sweet layered flaky chewy bite-sized pastries - are a must-try. Found out about them when searching for scones online and will definitely be back for more. Best to preorder online as flavours may sell out. Responsive on WhatsApp, very friendly service. Well deserving of 5 stars!
The scones are closer in texture and look to the American version if scones i.e. biscuits rather than the British version.
Really loved this quaint scones place! Boss was very friendly and gave his recommendations ☺️
Cheryl’s scones really do keep well and still tasted great 2 days later! heated up the savory thyme & double cheese for afternoon tea today with my old fren and thawed the scrumptious yuzu cream-cheese blossom scones which i picked up on Sunday. Yum!
This review is based on my overall experience.
The good parts are that the scones taste awesome and it is a nice place to have some afternoon tea. I have tried the Crispy Mushroom rice as well and it is definitely delicious although it is on the more expensive side.
I would not recommend the broccoli soup as I have tried it and I found it bland and lacking in texture. Have tried the vegan tomato pasta too and found the flavor to be lacking for the price I paid for it.
Would definitely be a 5-star review if not for the bad experience with the soup & pasta.
Six stars experience at the newly opened scones bakery. Best scones ever! My favourite here are the rosemary scone & cheese & dill scone. The scones are soft, light & fluffy & so fragrant! Pair it with their delicious vegetable curry soup. Unexpectedly good combo! Will definitely be back again.
Food is nice .. never had such soft scones before . Not to mention its dairy free and egg free which is perfect and depending on which flavours .
Have very interesting flavour .
Service is nice friendly able to have a nice conversation to know more about the store .
Atmosphere is cosy and chill . Happen that not much people around also ..
Tasty scones with a nice atmosphere for chilling, the owner offered us tea too when she noticed us sketching the scones we were eating :)
Amazing sea salt caramel scones - not overtly sweet, gives a pleasant linger on your taste buds which will leave you craving for more. Thank you for serving up such delicious scones. Great service from the business owners, Cheryl and her husband are wonderful folks. Thank you for bringing joy through your food and kind acts. :)
BEST scones in Singapore. Cheryl and Dan are lovely and sincere in their service and food. Have been patronising their store for more than a year now ever since discovering them. Always consistent and a delight! Cheryl Scones has, without a doubt, ended my search for local scones that are comparable to the ones in the UK.
Great soup and amazing scones! Love the food here.
We had enjoyed Cheryl Scones. Better than some I had tried. Their scones r moist and especially the classic, cranberry, thyme double cheese. We also like their Superstar pizza & their Quinoa Rice. The lala puff is not bad too, light & not too much sugar powder topping.
Delicious scones..we ordered the classic scone and the raspberry scone. The scones seems fresh and just perfect! Highly recommend. Can't wait to try their other scones.
Lovely cafe with selections of light, fluffy scones paired with delicious curried vegetable soup, soothing sweet corn puree or creamy wild mushroom soup. Highly recommend the Cranberry Scones and their Lala Puffs are a must-try! 👍💯
Enjoy a quiet yet cosy afternoon tea with artisanal bakes, scrumptious food and relaxing piano tunes at this cafe tucked away among the blocks.
CherylScones has such a happy vibe. The scones are def to die for! We ordered the original, cranberry lemon glazed, avocado pandan, salted caramel scones....with beautiful Cheryl’s original mocktail, “Coral” ...yummmmmm
Lovely cafe specialising in scones of course. Home made and so so fresh. Just missing the clotted cream!! Sat in this time to enjoy the just cooked smells!
The taste of the scones is wonderful and its good service make it perfect. For sure I will come back to try other flavors. ❤️
Best scones in Singapore. Period. Vegetarian meals offered are added bonuses!
I hardly leave reviews but I felt I had to for this one. Really enjoyed the scones.
Wide variety of food beside scones
Such a charming place, lovely people, fabulous range of scones and other food and drinks. Look forward to going back there.
Savoury scones but not my types. Nice environment and polite staff
Love love love their scones:) Not sweet and decadent scones.
Very nice scones! It is a hidden gem 💎
Never been to the shop myself but the scones are delicious
