Reviews of Chinese Garden Food Shop
A good place to either get your morning kopi or takeaway dinner. There is a/c and the good variety of food to choose from. Thumbs up!
Bought the biang biang and the taste is really nice
Criminally underrated dine-in situated under the MRT, here to give it some love so more people can come HAHA. It replaced the previous Indian convenience store (that had ludicrously overpriced goods), and now I feel confident walking in to buy something on my way back.
I usually don't stop by any stall at Chinese Garden simply because it wasn't convenient or the price range is off. This one works.
I ordered mayo chicken rice for $3.30. It's just fine, the portion is pretty generous for an MRT dine in compared to other stalls like Ananas. They also do Malaysian tze char (ee mian, penang laksa and the like) for about $5, you can see what they offer on the menu.
They also have a Lao Ban Beancurd store inside. Finally when I come back home from work, I can tabao some on the way back without detouring. They also sell bread and buns for your breakfast tomorrow, which is strategically sound.
Such convenient food stores are rare to come by for an MRT station that is pretty underrated with lower footfalls. I hope it survives.
Value for money ... Great tasting caifan with convenient Chinese pancakes to eat on the go
Value for money food eateries here. Like the cai fan
The beef in sauce is delicious, and the other cold dishes are not bad either, but they are not particularly impressive.
The main thing is that the cold dishes are large in quantity. I ordered 4 dishes, but the plastic square plate that holds nasi lemak can no longer fit... I originally wanted to eat a little in the morning, but ended up eating half of it, so I brought a lunch box with me. One of my friends ordered a piece of shredded potatoes and a piece of shredded potatoes, 3.5, which was also a full plate. I looked at it and didn’t finish it yet. Packing is free. If you eat cold dishes, be prepared to pack for the next meal.
There is a shop that sells salted tofu puffs for 2 yuan, but they are not available every morning.
Soy milk is 1 yuan and 2. It is cheap. It is a full cup. The cup size is as follows. At least it is not the way that a cup of bean curd water in the food court is 80% ice.
Overall, it is an affordable shop. A dish of beef, cucumber, and flower rolls for about 5 yuan is enough for a meal. If there are many people at home, it may be a good choice to take a large portion of the food and take it home.
