Reviews of Da Paolo Gastronomia - Bukit Timah
Lovely place close to the botanic gardens, beautiful Italian food and great service. Food came out extremely fast and was delicious, pasta cooked perfectly al dente.
The alcohol campari was our first try.
Probably last hahaha. Not quite used to the weird Taste.
I had toast bread with Parma ham, not bad.
My kid said the mushroom pizza was a bit bland. Lasagna pasta was soft, like kway teow hahahah!
The mixed bowl salad was alright.
A bit costly the food here, premium prices.
The protein bowls are delicious, coffee is great and the wife gives the pistachio tiramisus a rave review. Even has aperitifs and beers to unwind after a long day. Small downside is that it’s a bit pricey.
Had two slices of cakes - crunchy hazelnut and Nutella cake. Very nice! I loved the layered texture and strong chocolate taste. Goes very well with americano. Will return to try all other flavors.
Very good place to take a break and have some coffee... and more. Love this place, sit out alfresco, or in the aircon. Food is excellent too. It is a near Botanic Gardens, so it is the perfect place to go, a walk from my house, then a stop at Da Paolo, and a power walk in the gardens. Perfect morning.
After a 7 km walk around MacRitchie Reservoir early in the morning, we were famished.. These egg breakfasts were good! Had different sides like mushrooms, sausage and baked ham.. Mushrooms were the best.. Sausage was also nice and juicy! Nothing special about the baked ham! Cappuccinos were also good.. We wanted to try their desserts like Apple Tart and Pistachio Tiramisu when we saw it on the menu but they were boxed up and kept in their open fridge so we didn’t feel like trying them (we thought they were freshly baked) Overall a good experience - Took away their chocolate croissant and orange cranberry scone and both were good! Their roasted veggie pizza was also really good - loaded with veggies like broccoli, brinjal (eggplant) and pumpkin.. Amazing! Would like to try their sandwiches next and their pasta also smells really flavourful!
Apr 2019. It's another Pokemon Community day. While the party was at Botanic Gardens, we decided to enjoy our wait at Gastronomia.
Lovely setup, bright, lively with friendly patrons.
We sipped skinny flat whites and had muffins. Passed time by writing reviews, catching up with news and gossips.
We had a great time. Attendants were friendly. Menu options were great along with the decent number of veg items. We had some pastry , coffee , pizza slices and pasta. All tasted quite nice. Overall highly recommend
We're glad we stopped by! This was the last tea we had before July's P2HA 😅 we just about to head home cos only two of us could dine 😑 too flustered on a hot afternoon to take more pictures 🤣 more like we almost forgot!
Chocolate Chip Scones 🍪
You'd imagine it to be overly sweet, but it wasn't! Fluffy, moist, Mmmmm... Every mouthful was pure heaven and made us wanted more! 😍 Now we understood why the lady at the counter said it's one of their best sellers 🏆
Chicken Pizza 🍕
Pleasantly surprised that it was cut neatly into 4 smaller slices. Made it easy to eat. While there's nothing to rave about, we have to say that it's a decent slice of pizza with just the right amount of ingredients to satisfy each bite.
Lemongrass Iced Tea
It was a really hot afternoon and this refreshing glass of well-made ice tea cooled us down!
Panini was good as the bread was fresh. Pasta was decent. Nothing to scream abt. Service was average. Couldn’t finish the panini and asked for takeaway bag which didn’t come. Had to go to the cashier to ask for a bag.
The sun ☀️ makes me sweat even my friend too. Good thing inside because it so cool. Variety of people visit that they cause it's a holiday. Be very careful in punching. Just received the food but no drink. No one notify me this, just my own and hir.

Lovely staff. We could tie our dog to the tree, he had to be on the grass which was great. Good collection of food items.
Always a good place to chill and enjoy a cup of coffee. Had the lasagna and the mozzarella & basil ciabatta to share with my 10yo. Got their large cup of Mocha to seal the deal. It was gone in minutes :) Will definitely be back for breakfast or coffee run again soon!
I like that it's next to the Botanical Gardens. Has ok-ish comfort food. Have had their pasta, salad, and teas. Recommend couscous salad. Most dishes are expensive for the taste/amount, though.
It is such a nice place to relax and have a cup of coffee ☕️ It's next to Botanic Gardens and Mrt station, good location.
The food they serve is deli-type of food. Didn't taste like it's freshly made. Perhaps, I expect more from da Paolo group. Visit my IG for more reviews @zanthrea.
Pasta here is really good, we tried the al granchio which was very flavourful but not too saucy. The lagsana was also tasty and authentic!
Coffee is good. The experienced of self-ordering is not good as there's no cash option. It took as a awhile to order.
Nice coffee store with some snacks and menu for food. Comfortable seating inside and out - nice simple place
I think this is one of my fave cafe in Singapore. I always take the tempeh or spinach lasagna, sometimes the salad. It’s perfect for someone who’s into healthy lifestyle like me. Ambience is 5/5. It’s beside botanic garden so it’s convenient to go to walk before or after.
Visited two times. Opens early at 7:30am. It has indoor seating (aircon) and outdoor (non-aircon) seating. Breakfast is average.
Of course, whether it's breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea, you won't be disappointed.
I love this place!!! The waiter is very nice!! He deserves a raise for his excellent service!!! Coffee is made with love as well
Cafe latte and cronut are good. Nice outdoor seating. Just outside botanic gardens MRT and entrance so it is a very convenient location.
Generally I am satisfied with coffee, bread and service.
The food is good. Went there with friends. We have tried Beef lasagna ,tiramisu quinoa & kale salad , multigrain & seeds, roasted sweet potatoes, soy tempeh ‘Steak ‘ with Arrabbiata , Grill chicken, shredded brussel sprouts, turnip n cranberry salad nice too. We recommend all the food that we have tried. Service staff is very friendly. Will go back again next time.
Plenty vegetarian options! Tasted nice, satisfied!
Tasty but kinda expensive for the small portion of impossible meat.
An Italian cafeteria that offers a wide range of Italian food, and western breakfast but also many healthy options, all of them very tasty. And the opportunity to make your own salad.
An outdoor area makes it easy to take a break after a walk or a visit to the neighbouring Botanical Gardens.
So yes, a great location nearby buses & MRT. The coffee is good ☕️ every time.
Busy but very friendly staff, tasty and good food with healthy options.
Staff Had all the time in the world to give us courteous and helpful suggestions
One of the very few places that I could get a Super hot coffee. Thanks, made my day
Very spoilt for choices, double almond croissant or Lemon Cake or death by sugar doughnuts....
Spoilt for choice so shamelessly had all three...
Will just have to come back for more 👍
Love this coffee!
Expensive prices for frozen pizzas, coffees and bottled Peroni beer. Limited seats are often taken by expats who sit for hours. It may be one of the better choices in this small shopping centre (Cluny Court), but it is not the best place for a quiet coffee or catch up with friends.
Nice spot after botanic gardens...very nice lattes with granola bars...service is super quick
My family and I love the croissant stuff with cheese and ham.
It is definitely a wonderful breakfast
SGD 9 for a plain black decaf ice coffee (take away) is a bit over the top. I even brought my own cup.
Too technical for normal person to order, ppl are friendly but ordering is a process which can be a turn off for few people
Tasty sandwiches and oversized meringues. Baguettes looked deliciously authentic. Had Iced mocha cause it was really hot outside and that mocha could have been better. Service was nice and fast.
Food is good, and coffee is also proper (which is rare in Singapore!). Yet, customer service and organisation of the cafè are far from the upper bound. You can come here and eat (quite pricy for Singapore) and also it's nice to chat a while with a friend. For work, the space is sufficient as well but no electricity plugs available (at least I couldn't found any). So in total i would give it 4 stars for the food/coffee, but due to the lack of good attitude and customer service only 3.
Nice food and atmosphere. Service was fast too.
I'd say authentic cooking, even if it was a simple scrambled egg. Coffee was perfect, medium roast good quality beans. Definitely going back again.
It's not the best but it's consistent. The coffee is ok, the pizza is ok – enough for a light lunch. Gets really crowded on weekends.
Good bakery only.
Nice location and the food has improved, come there a lot and this time indeed much better food.
Scones and coffee were nice, quite pricey. Good location for snack before Botanic Gardens.
Come here fairly regularly for coffee ... And I always enjoy what they serve. Plus the have decaf for those that need less caffeine.
Good takeaway preprepared Italian meals, and a good salad bar and options for sit in. Pasta dishes are good, not a great place for pizza though.
Near Botanic garden. Nice environment. The Italian coffee and food is fine.
Not worth the money. Pasta was hard and the cheese was congealed. Just felt bloated without enjoying the food.
Pet-friendly outside. Space is a bit tight outside. Always good food offerings.
Very nice food but the wait and the busyness made the experience downgrade a little bit
A relaxing restaurant with awesome pasta and pizza and gelato! Great atmosphere for meeting up with friends!
Not bad cabonara but choice for local food is limited
Only about 10 metres from Botanic Garden signage. And it opens in the morning!
Dog-friendly, good pizza, pasta and coffee.
