Reviews of Glasshouse
Truffle fries is the best dish here.
Toast is interesting. It’s cream but not icecream.
Fried Octopus and Mac and cheese can skip.
Pretty full at 1.30pm on a sat. No reservations
Crowded but thankfully a table or 2 were still available on a Sunday late morning. Truffle fries were nicely battered and really crispy and definitely worth trying. Chicken burger was also really good and the corn fritters is also something a lot of tables ordered. A really nice brunch and would come back again.
Not sure if we visited at an off peak timing (dinner time weekday) which was why the food wasn’t as good (as what older generations says the wok isn’t hot enough saying).
We had fried baby squid for starters, and for mains we had Carbonara, and the fried chicken burger.
+
1. The fries that accompanied the burger was really good! It tastes like McDonald’s curly fries in straight cut!
2. The service here was really great!
-
1. The batter of the fried chicken wasn’t seasoned well, it was quite disappointing because I got the chicken breast part which was very overcooked and very tough to even cut through.
2. The fried baby squid came at the end of our meal and the batter was all falling off the baby squid when we fork it. Not sure is tit cause it took a while for it to thaw when we ordered, but the texture was overcooked/ under thawed.
Maybe the brunch standard of food may be different with more patrons!
Food is pretty decent, typical cafe price food. The portion for waffle and chicken is big. The kale and arugula salad taste pretty decent, just that the arugula comes with not just the leaves, but also the stem, which is a little turn off for me due to personal preference.
However the one thing that to consider for improvement is the additional chicken thigh that comes with the salad. The plate with the chicken is extremely oily. I’ve been dabbing the chicken on the servierte. Maybe can consider putting some kind of oil absorbing sheet below?
Enjoyed the Turkish eggs & waffles with chicken better than the grilled cheese sandwich. Cosy place!
Found this place by coincidence and surprisingly it is really good.
The place is quite simple and offers great selection of food, pastry, and coffee.
We tried the grilled cheese sanger which has great taste, crispy texture and comes with a special tomato sauce
Also, they have a good specialty coffee serves V60!
loved the ambience of the place! everything was super aesthetic. staff was really friendly and constantly checking up on us if the food was alright. we ordered the tater tots, mushroom ragout pasta of the week, corn fritters, and hummus with toast. everything was a hit! the corn fritters is a must try, it paired perfectly with the sour cream. hummus with toast was great as well, but hummus was on the dryer side. though slightly expensive, everything here was worth the price given the ambience and customer service.
Bright and cosy environment
Wide range of brunch menu and different from most cafes
Everything was OK except that for Anchovy and Tarragon Baby Chicken, the thigh portion was uncooked on the inside. Didnt want to risk my weekends by finishing it.
I came here mainly for the fries which did not disappoint. The burger was not bad. The portion size was also very big. The flavour of the white coffee was pleasant but the foam was abit too thick😅the fries alone deserves 6⭐
Very welcoming ambience and kind staff, definitely come here for the laid back vibes :)) They serve up an above average brunch fare too, albeit at standard cafe pricing (read: moderately pricey), with fantastic hummus. Still super worth the visit though, and a go-to spot for me!
We were recommended by a friend who frequents here when in Singapore for work. We were on holiday and came for breakfast. The atmosphere and staff were lovely. The food and coffee looks amazing. My partner thoroughly enjoyed his meal. I was however very limited on options for food as I am gluten intolerant and they dont do many alternatives.
Very aesthetic cafe but it has more of a restaurant vibe as you are seated and order through a QR code, then your order is brought to you. Staff are nice and bathrooms are clean. Really cute concept of conversation starter cards on each table. Overall would recommend!
Had Chargrilled chicken with plain bagel, but chicken is swimming in oil with skin on.
Photo 2 shows the chicken skin + fats .So half my bagel was soaked in oil, healthier option will be great.
Overall good service and environment.
Good coffee good food good ambiance, can’t ask for more. It’s become my usual go to place for my brunch cravings!
Love the idea of build your own breakfast so you get only what you want on your plate! Portions for ‘build your own breakfast’ (a la carte) are slightly bigger than usual cafe size so it’s good for sharing if groups want to get variety!
SCRAMBLED EGGS, MUSHROOMS, CREAM & CHIVE SPREAD WITH BAGEL $20++
Love the buttery fragrance on the soft, half set, slightly gooey, creamy scrambled eggs! The cream cheese and chives spread is creamy yet light and gives that umami taste during and after the meal; a perfect match with the toasted (rather) soft bagels! Grilled-baked Mushrooms are not too oily too! Super yums!!
Just one thing that I still can’t wrap my head around: why are portions for bread spread bigger that the portion of the breads? It’ll sadly contribute to more food waste.
Guess many would prefer to pay half for half the portion. And as a consumer, I wouldn’t really want to pay for butter in a cafe.
Overall, will definitely continue to be a regular though ;)
Lovely enclave tuck away at Neil Road. Awesome coffee, brunch and friendly staff. Love the plants and deco!
Overall environment is good, people tends to study or gathering here. Food taste is average with the price tag but the salad is nice.
Love the food, place, service. 🫶🫶✨ We got recommendations to get Corn Fritters, Salmon Tartine and the Caprese Ricotta Tartine and they were all soooo good! Esp the corn fritters!
I went with the Mont Blanc for drinks and this coffee was perfect I’d order it again the next time Im here ❤️
Our server was Samantha and we got great service, thanks!
I was there at about 10am on Thursday morning. I only ordered a Ice White as I already had my breakfast. The coffee was to my personal liking, had a nutty flavour and not to sour.
The place was relatively conducive for some work at that time and I manage to clear some while I was there.
I will definitely be back to try their food. But maybe not on a weekend as I like the ambience during weekdays.
Nice ambience. But could be crowded during weekends. Servers were friendly and attentive. No frills. Try their Dorayaki. Jam in between was nice. Not too sweet. Home made in restaurant. A good break from the usual sweets.
Love the ice dirty matcha, a well blend of matcha and espresso. Staff are attentive and friendly.
food is very tasty with hearty portions. service is good but food and drinks come out a little slow. the cafe was very warm, I notified one staff and only received a condescending smile in return. overall i do recommend it here but they have some work to do on service.
Came here for a coffee break. Double shot latte was excellent. One of the few places in Singapore that serves a Mont Blanc as well. It’s decently done, though the coffee could be stronger and the orange flavour more forward. I’m comparing it to the recent one I had in Melbourne so maybe my expectations are a bit high ;) The service staff was friendly and warm, helpful when we asked to explain a detail in the online ordering process. I also appreciate the ice breaker talking cards on each table. Though my husband and I are active conversationalists, we felt the cards raised some cool questions which we enjoyed discussing. Overall lovely experience, will definitely be back to give the food a try!
Nice place and the service was good, the servers were very attentive to all tables.
Food was overall good though too much icing was given for the cake.
Visited on Tuesday 20 June for breakfast. Ordered a Caprese Riccota Tartine and a Flat White Coffee. Food is good and so was the coffee. The interior decor was cosy and nicely done up too.
- Was there with my family for tea. Service by staff are great and observant, nothing to feedback about.
- Was there for their Ice Cream Waffle, cannot go wrong with it. Considering the crowd and consistency of customers flowing in and out of the café, very much tells you that this is a good place for gathering and hangout.
Overall good experience and would recommend to friends and family.
Nice place to relax and catch up with friends! I had the matcha latte and the basque cheesecake. Really enjoyed the cheesecake, it wasnt too sweet! The matcha latte was just fine, nothing that special, a little bit more bitter than some other places. Would come back to try other stuff.
Was a frequent visitor to the Chijmes store. The food are at same good standard. The internal design are great.
everything was great, i love everything here. there were lots of photo spot, the decoration was 10/10.
Came here to work and ordered bagel $4 with cream cheese & chives $2 plus matcha latte with oat milk $7
The bagel was warm and soft and the cream cheese was really nice
It was not very crowded and easy to find a seat
Have not been here in awhile. Good food but pricey. $30 for this plate.
Good service, Generous portion for the mains and strong coffee
Great cafe. I'm actually surprised to see how popular it is on a weekday in the morning! The menu is well thought-out and extensive. This may be one of the only cafes in SG that caters to various diets, and as a keto practitioner, I'm glad to see some keto dishes on the menu (whether deliberately or unintentionally). Also, Wifi is available, and the cafe is generally laptop friendly. Just be sure to vacate your table if you see a queue forming, as this is general table etiquette :)
Great ambience.Accommodating staff! Amazing food options! Grilled cheese sandwich and hummus platter are a must try!👌
The staff were all super friendly and helpful and ever so ready to make sure everyone is taken care of.
The food is so healthy and so nice. The ingredients used were obviously fresh too.
A definite place to go and try.
Food was average and wait time was long and it wasn't very crowded. Service was lacking. Had to ask for water and they put the cutlery on the table after the food arrived. The cooks fail to follow basic safety regulations like hair net, gloves and face mask.
Amazing coffee, great service staff, excellent ambience!
Lovely space with a minimalist yet warm decor. Not a huge fan of the QR code ordering system but that is more than offset by the friendly staff. The coffee is excellent and the cheese toastie delicious. Perfect brunch spot.
Amazing food. Amazing staff. Very good prices for quality.
It has become one of our go-to for weekend brunch.
It is delicious and nice service 🥰
I went there on Wednesday early morning and it was nice and peaceful. I saw a few reviewers at the time too. The food here has excellent ingredient. Nice breakfast. Coffee tastes good too.
Samantha is a star!
She's engaged and attentive to our needs and took really great care of us and made it a memorable dining experience.
It's really rare to experience hospitality and service here in Singapore nowadays. She made all the difference.
In many places in Singapore, the only human contact is when food to brought to you, with service charge the default charge when there's no heart to serve.
Thank you for making our day at Glasshouse Samantha!
brand new location for glasshouse. great staff, great coffee. FYI no big food menu available as of this review - they are still waiting for permit to sell things beyond bakery items. but ambience excellent so far.
Welcoming vibes and good service from the staff 👍🏼 great for coffee and bites
This place is an absolute vibe. Plenty of glasses around, and it feels like a house (albeit a little crowded). Service was awesome, staff even came out to inform us that she will let 2 person in first as there're 2 seaters available since we're a 5 person group.
Amazing coffee ! Love the Mont Blanc coffee !!
One of my fav brunch spots with friends and family
WiFi available and friendly staff who are ok with you reading/working there.
spacious and attentive staff,
Big shout out to Nicholas for being such an amazing host !
One piece of Avocado toast for $18. In simple the food is good, but their recipes are too basic to justify the price as compared to other cafes.
I like this place but weekends are just rammed. Loved the service from the waiter who actually communicated with us :)
Coffee is good and tater tots are Tater Tots :)
Another fabulous addition to the neighborhood.
Small and enticing brunch menu. Great coffee.
a bit noisy
Standard cafe fare, overpriced
Food is basic

Food was sooooooo delicious ~ environment cozy and beautiful, indoor very bright and comfort
Waffle with friend chicken - crispy and juicy
Carbonara- tasted yummy and creamy(without milk and cream) , authentic texture
Coffee also great, a lot of ppl just came for take away
Highly recommend dining in after 1:20pm, if you are not rushing
Italian espresso is very good⋯
But for me, this place is more suitable for gathering with friends.
Not the atmosphere for studying and working
The decoration is very nice
One of the most beautiful coffee cups in the countryside
I had avocado toast. It was spicy and delicious.
This place has a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, like a hideaway.
Recommended.
Coffee is also delicious.
