Reviews of Kamome Bakery
First visit and it’s now my favourite bakery and cafe! The brunch set (until 1pm) at $15 ($1 top up for coffee) was well priced and delicious. My mushroom bacon cheese croissant was crispy and savoury and even the side salad was delicious!!! I bought the famous red bean bun and pan Au chocolate home. Both were lovely. The atmosphere was also chill and relaxing. Really rare to find such places in SG nowadays!
The variety of bread run off the shelves at a high speed. Prepare to wait if you want to dine in there, remember to queue outside on the right side(facing the shop). Food is slightly pricey but the quality is good. So you have it... just go.
Went on weekend. Limited dine in space. Very crowded and had to queue.
For take-outs, don’t join the dine-in queue, wait for the staff who would periodically come out and allow you in when the take-out area becomes less crowded.
Not alot of selections, but the Japanese breads I tried are above average for singapore standards
I will try their Japanese cream breads next time.
I find their western breads better than their Japanese breads, even though its a Japanese bakery.
I liked the fruit sour dough most. Thin Crusty on the outside and chewy moist on the inside. Can taste the flavours from the fermentation, it’s light and well balanced.
Was told sour dough only available on weekends
Cutesy cafe run by a Japanese native, teriyaki burger n beef stew was tasty, the usual burger bun egg pattie. Beef stew was sweet though and beef cubes was soft and chewy. Always busy with Japanese housewives and curious walk-ins, tired of the fast food out there, we doggy bag some of the bread, and the mini quiche was still perfect and moist (we had these the next morning) The cafe need some bigger seating space as the cashier, baking / pantry area took half of the cafe space, maybe is time to re-model to keep up with the times
Try their salmon spinach quiche:
*very delicious & savory *price reasonable *ordered take away 😋
Love the red bean butter bun ($3.20) and prawn cutlet (ebikatsu) bun ($6.50). About half of the selection is sold out by 11+am. But the kitchen is baking and churning out bread loaves.

Kamome Bakery is a Japanese bakery featuring a wide range of sweet and savoury bread. Whatever you fancy, you'll sure find something up your alley.
Do visit early to grab your favourites as they will close one sold out
Had the breakfast set as it includes thick toast as missed the thick toast we had in Hokkaido. Thick toast didn't disappoint. Salad quality & quantity is good.
The toast loaf is very popular, it was sold out at 10.30am. We reserved one & waited 2 hours for the next batch.
Nice breads! And the vibe feels like Japan upon entering. But no system for dining in. It’s hard to find a table, we arrived first but the the group of three ladies after us muscled their way to get the first table to be cleared.
Went here for the Yakisoba pan coz I’ve been looking for it and only found here.
Kamome Bakery is a Japanese focus bakery that is newly opened in Goldhill Plaza. The moment I enter, I feel as if I am on a holiday. You are being welcomed with light hearted music and a clean and neat environment.
They are also equipped with high technological ovens to freshy bake the bread that they sell off the shelves.
The furnishing of blue and white painting of clouds and birds in the toilet makes you feel calm.
The seats are also comfortable with a variety of upright, high seats and also cushions choices.
There's also a corner with Japanese children books for kids to read.
When we ordered take away, the shop gives paper bag instead of plastic bag to make it an environmental friendly bakery.
Last but not least, the breakfast choice of ham and eggs sandwich with vegetables is very fresh and tasty. For hot coffee, they provide black coffee with no milk and sugar. However, you can request for milk from them if you need. The sugars are available on the table.
Overall, I would highly recommend you to go visit Kamome Bakery to have a good relax and enjoyable experience.

Cute Japanese style bakery, with fresh bread. I particularly enjoyed the much-raved red bean butter bun, which is served with a thick slice of cold butter. Sinfully enjoyable.
Came around 330pm-ish and only wish to come a little earlier so I’m able to try their fresh bakes! Still good and can’t wait to be back to try more of the others.
Suggestions for improvement
- provide proper mugs and not takeaway cups for dine-in coffee
- the black coffee was quite watered down and quantity was low, provide option for paid top uo
Their bakes are generally good but a little on the pricier side. Love their chocolate chip melon pan and the sandwiches. Haven't got a chance to dine in to try their Tonkatsu Toast.
Limited seating. Comfortable eatery to try the variety prepared by the staff in the bakery. Their signature white loaf is still the best! Similar in taste to some of the better bakery in Japan!
Japanese white bread loaf is the house special. Good value breakfast..thick toast, thick slice of ham and scrambled eggs.
Great food. Remarkably fluffy egg bread! The toast was perfect
Good variety of bakery stuff. Nice dine in options too
Good quality bread & especially the croissant. But the breakfast menu is quite pricey & feel not so worth it. The sausage is quite cold. The menu in the Google not sure if still valid but that’s more reasonable.
Japanese bakery with the fluffiest shokupan. Good variety of breads for dine in or takeaway.
Arguably one of the best bakeries in Singapore in my opinion, and I’m personally not really a bread person as well. Loved the freshly baked Japanese style breads and had an amazing breakfast there; bacon and eggs tasted great and didn’t taste cheap and were of very good quality. There were a lot of Japanese diners when we visited. They were quite full/busy even on a Monday morning!
Nice and cute little bakery. Staff are nice and there is a good selection of breads and foods on offer. Though after lunch crowds will wipe most of it out for a while. It is located in a subtle location, though on a mini main road, so do look out for their signage when looking for this place. You can also walk through from one side to the other road on the other end.
Space is small and cosy so it can feel quite packed during the mornings. Otherwise, ambience is perfect! Coffee not the best but their toast bread is already super fluffy and tasty! Easily one of my favourite bakeries.
Came here with a friend and we both ordered breakfast meals. The food was soo good! My friend got beef stew with salad and bread, I got toast with eggs, salad and jam/butter. The food was served quite quickly and it was hot. The bread was so soft but crispy.
I also loved how cozy this cafe was. I felt like I was in Japan again. They also had lots of variety of bread. I just wish this place was closer to where I live coz I really wanna come back.
My favourite bakery! I love the food here. Seats are slightly limited but we somehow always manage to find one within 10 minutes.
Kids friendly as they do provide high chairs and even books for children to read.
Service by the staff could be further improved but not a big issue.
Ordered: Red Bean Croissant, Awfully Sesame Mochi Bread, Cappuccino
+
Generous red bean serving
Mochi is soft, moist, chewy
Vibes are immaculate - rainy Sunday stay in vibe
-
Mochi and sesame feeling could be more generous
Mochi sesame bread is on smaller side
Will come back regularly to chill
Only tried the buns, the soft bun is soft and chewy authentic to how Japanese bun should be however Pastry is not the strong point.
Would recommend any loaf or soft buns.
Great little place making amazing Japanese inspired bakery items. Sesame mochi bun was great as was the pain suisse
Newly Open! This is a lovely bakery with fresh bakes coming out all day long. It was buzzing with Japanese housewives when I was there. The sandwiches and the bakes are highly recommended. Coffee can be better if it’s made by barista but then again, this is more a bakery than a cafe..
My wife and I went, Food and service were good!
The only minus point was the queuing for dine in and take away and ordering method for dine in customers.
It was very confusing when queuing, we had to assist to tell other take away customers to queue other line and our queue were waiting for table.
Even after seated but we figure it ourselves need to go counter to make order.
Had high hopes as food and bread was fresh and good =)
Good ambiance, good shokupan. Worth second try.
Great bread, bad service. It’s rather small things that make you feel they just don’t know customer service.
I really love the red bean butter bun...
Awesome food and ambience for a Sunday brunch!
Kamome Bakery cafe's is a new Japanese Bakery Cafe's here in Singapore. All bread fleshly baked, original recipe well made and price, is matched to quality of taste.
Lil bit expensive but totally worth it. Strong reco the red bean butter bao
Very good morning ❣️It’s really tasty sandwich...all!
One of my favourite bakery in Singapore! Their sesame toast and sourdough are highly recommended.
The service was excellent, cashiers and servers were extremely friendly and helpful. Definitely would recommend for couples and families to check out !
Cute little bakery near home. Their curry bun and fresh cream bun are the best. 😋
I love this bakery! It has really nice breads oh my gosh the red bean butter bun is wonderfulllllllllllllllll
Soft fluffy bread. Great service and the mango sandwich is unique and surprisingly good
The best toast! Try to pre order 1 day in advance to make sure you can get one.
Nice cafe with breakfast set
Nice afternoon coffee place.
Stick to the freshly baked stuff and u won't go wrong. Avoid the coffee...
Love the bread here ..do come by and give a try
Strongly recommeded
Super nice!
This was my second time. It was around 11:30 on a Saturday and the store was still empty, although there were a few groups of customers. I took my time looking at the breads and bought six items, including the seasonal Sakura Azuki Bread.
I haven't tried many of the breads yet, but they are all delicious. They may be a little pricey, but I like them because I can eat bread like you would find in a Japanese bakery.
I haven't used it as a cafe yet, so I'd like to try it next time.
Personally, it's a treat for the eyes.
It's expensive...I honestly think it's a little pricey, but my kids love it.
Not only do they have sliced bread and savory bread, they also have baked goods, and the financiers were delicious.
Also, the "anko butter" bread. I'm glad they have a small size! If I had eaten a large one, it might have been too much for a woman in her 40s (lol), but it was just big enough that I could still enjoy it. Thank goodness!
This Japanese bakery in Novena has a wide variety of prepared breads. The price is a little high, but it's delicious. Customers were lined up even before the store opened in the early morning. It seems that you can also make a reservation.
All the breads were delicious, but the strawberry fruit sandwich was the best. The cream was especially good!
I wanted to buy some bread, but unfortunately it was fully booked. Next time I'll make sure to reserve bread in advance.
The Japanese Fruit Sandwich (Fruit Sando) was awesome. Recommended.
It's a shop that sells out every day, so it's best to come early.
Family friendly bakery😄
