Reviews of Maxi Coffee Bar
Nice to come across at this cafe. Prior to, familiar with this spot becos of the nasi lemak eatery with its ex-founder.
Alot of memories coming back when sitting to chill with a cup of hot white coffee.
Nice & caring staff to check with me of my order again. And brought a cup of warm water after giving me a glass of cold which I couldn't drink on that day.
Feeling relax at that moment to sit down & taking photos of the hot weather with a clear blue sky.
Coffee was great especially the filtered! Cereal milk latte was alright for the first try. The pizza square tasted great but it was wayy too hard to even cut with the utensils 😂
Dog friendly place with alot of photo ops! Would visit again just for the filtered coffee only :)
It was a decently good cup of coffee but there are better ones out there. Service that morning wasn’t particularly welcoming too.
It was quite a small cup for $8 (after changing to oat milk) and sadly, I will rather spend my money elsewhere.
Coffee was really smooth, baristas were nice. I personally prefer it to be slightly stronger.
Small café on Ann Siang Hill, nice vibes and coffee!! ❤️ Enjoyed sipping my oat latte here, taste and presentation was 💯on point, and everything I love in a cup of coffee. ☕️
The seats are quite small and uncomfortable though. 😣
Love the spot where this coffee spot is situated. Banana bread was alright only, felt like it was way too crispy after being heated up.
Awesome coffee, friendly staff, and the background music is excellent.
I kept going back during my short stay for the Oat Flat Whites, which were great.
This is definitely becoming my next favourite neighborhood cafe shop. Great cafe, chill ambience, friendly baristas and pastel colours yes! A bit too late to know these lovely people and their products, but it's never too late isn't it? Heard this Maxi cafe shop got many supporters back in their old address in emerald green. Fortunately they are reopening with a more classy shop in an even better location. Cannot wait for their bar opening so both mornings and evenings I can simply head over and treat myself with some nice drinks!
Good espresso shot. Small place.
I’ve been going to Maxi for a while now and I’ve not had a single cup of coffee that wasn’t good. They have one of the most interesting espresso offerings in Singapore. Their filters are also super delicious, and I got to try some really exciting ones there — would recommend splurging on their geishas if they have it on the menu. They are always changing up their coffee options with both coffee they’ve roasted themselves and from guest roasters. Shoutout to the staff for being super friendly and always taking time to share with me their roasting process and how they make their coffees.
all i know is that the neighbourhood is much better with maxi coffee bar in it. it was a warm thursday afternoon yet the cafe was packed and the air was abuzz with chatter, and our four-legged friends received warm reception from everyone.
the filter i got was clean on the palate, yet gentle on the acidity.
Perfect get away, though still near city centre. Their specialty ice drinks are pretty nice, as well as their toasts. In case you don't mind cinnamon, "The Dirty" is a must try, kinda refreshing.
Their iced cereal milk latte is very good. Well balanced and smooth. Do also try their homemade cola. Will be back again to try more items.
Very interesting coffee place that is on the edge of ann xiang road but still close to the Chinatown, so it would be good for people visiting there as well. Otherwise the coffee and food are quite good as well
yes to the cereal milk latte, toastie was delicious as was the maxi muffin. prices a lil high and the chai wasn’t the best but altogether a great visit. would return!
Great ambience & food especially during rainy days . Staff are very friendly but would like to compliment Joy for her attentiveness & passion towards her job
Top! Pastrami sando and miso pbj. Also coffee was awesome!
Yep, a tiny coffee shop but serves mean, hearty coffee. Friendly baristas. Love the coffee/milk ratio. Hot latte not too milky with bittersweet, intense coffee flavour. 👌
Fantastic coffee, well crafted by the team. You can tell that they take pride in their craft! 👍🏼 the cafe was bustling during teatime on Sunday, so be prepared to just get takeout.
My favourite little cafe on Club St has now moved up the street to Ann Siang Hill! Previously they could on seat 6 customers but had a devoted following nonetheless, coffee is one of the best in Singapore.
One of the best coffees I’ve had, hands down. Bacon & Jam grilled cheese was also really yummy!
Excellent iced flat white, nice location, friendly staff and good service
I am always on a lookout for a good coffee place that comes with a nice cheese sandwich toast.
Super cute, innocuous coffee shop on a quiet street in the morning. Can sit under the awning and chill. Flat white was lovely. They have oat milk!
One of my favourite cafes in Singapore. Chill vibes, nice to sit outside at one of the small benches, chill, read and watch life go by. Chai latte very good.
Super welcoming, professional, hip clean atmosphere and superb coffee! Friendly little spot with warm service. Highly recommend if you like getting what you pay for with a smile.
Great coffee and a good variety of beans! They offer a free coffee with each purchase of beans in store, which is a really nice gesture!
Lovely cafe with even better coffee and staff. I’m always going back for their filter coffee selections, and I’m always spoilt for choice. Their chai is subtle and delicious as well, not to mention their bakes are great too. Highly recommend for any coffee enthusiast ☺️
Small cost and friendly place but sells their rolled pancake (literally ate it in four bites) at $6. And no price tag given. Felt slightly horrified. Tried their hot chocolate and it was like 60% milk, perhaps it’s still better to buy their coffee instead.
Another review for Maxi. My most favourite coffee spot in Singapore! Delicious as always, even if you takeaway.
A cozy tiny corner for coffee, I had a black coffee, which was smooth and balanced, definitely one of the best I had in Singapore. With friendly staff, definitely will visit again when being around China town.
Great coffee but the place is small so seats are very limited. They were clearly overwhelmed when I was there last Saturday at their new place in Ann Siang.
Happened to be nearby before it opened at 8am. Very friendly staff. Love the Ann Siang Hill neighborhood because it's quiet in the morning.
Imagine darkness that falls over your eyes every night when you sleep, and the light that squeezes from your vision... Well, that doesn't happen here. Every coffee is an eye opener to flavours and profiles, only possible to be savoured sipping and slurping; each one meticulously made and handcrafted.
Small cosy cafe in a quiet corner of Ann Siang. Good place for coffee and breakfast.
I love flat whites (with oat milk) and this place absolutely delivers! Would love to come back sometime to try their other drinks + food.
Very light and subtle coffee with no acidic aftertaste. Really crowded on a Saturday morning though!
Superbly friendly staff. My daughter loved the cereal milk latte and I enjoyed my double shot cortado. Coffee aside, the banana bread 🍌 🍞 was crazy good! Light, fluffy, not too sweet. A perfect match for my cuppa. I'm a happy lady.
Gorgeous little espresso cafe. Excellent coffee. Great service.
A trendy, hipster coffee bar in the Ann Siang Hill neighborhood with a prominent blue and white theme in their seating. Its a tiny place, so be prepared to wait for a table on weekends and evenings. They have lots of tiny stools outside which is what most folks will have to be happy with. We tried the cappuccino (4/5) and the iced cereal latte (3/5.. don't know what the fuss is about for this drink, tasted like a normal iced latte to me). My favorite part was the Kinda Ploughman sandwich - soft egg on sourdough with some delicious onion chutney! It is one of many "new-wave, hipster" coffee joints in the city, coffee is definitely decent, food even more so!
Probably my go to coffee & sandwich place! Love their sourdough & mini toast
Fantastic little (not exaggerating on little) coffee bar. Can get either a good Long Black or Flat White, but they also have some creative coconut and cereal based coffee drink as well. Very easy to have conversation there or just order to go. The banana bread with Espresso Butter is also worth trying
Super cozy and aesthetic place with kind people delicious iced chai and amazing banana bread
Really tiny place serving a surprisingly yummy Cereal Coffee. Must try if you're bored of the usual latte!
Excellent coffee at this hole-in-the-wall cafe. It’s small with only 2 seats so mostly takeaways.
There are small bites (mostly sweets). Oat.ly is used in lieu of soy milk if you don’t take dairy.
A perfect aromatic latte in a peaceful small street. The floral notes of their latte made my day. Friendly staff. Highly recommended!
Black coffee was good, it was more on the fruity side. But had to wait around 20 minutes for the coffee. Guess they had quite a bit of orders on hand.
Service staff are really kind and sweet, perfect place to chill at, coffee is superb! Thank you for having us 🥰
Lovely spot to chill with a coffee! Limited seating tho!
Small coffee shop only seating for 5 persons. Coffee and banana cake was nice. Not sure if I’ll go back without burpple beyond.
Hidden gem with superb toasties and drinks. I come here every time I am in Singapore!
Great place for coffee but sadly very limited space
Absolutely amazing cup of #blackgold , definitely worth the visit!
Tiny coffee bar, great coffee and very friendly service.
Fantastic coffee
I visited on a Sunday morning.
The atmosphere is relaxed and indescribable.
The road (front road, front building) is nice to be dazed.
A feeling that can only be felt in Singapore
Long black is delicious.
It's my first time tasting white, but it's unique (chunjang and mint flavor).
Kaya Toast's bread is fluffy and thick.
(It feels like traditional brioche from Singapore supermarket bread, which is my favorite bread)
If I don't have a child, I want to spend two hours on the street haha.
The coffee is delicious, the food is delicious, and the boss and staff are very friendly. It is a coffee shop worth visiting again😍
Very good coffee, you have to wait between 10-20' if there are people because they fill the coffee maker, very few places.
Friendly and attentive service and very good coffee.
This is a place where you can experience good coffee and bakery. The freshness of the coffee beans especially stands out.
I love coffee and desserts!!
It's great to sit outside, and the dirty coffee is delicious!
A small, community-friendly store that’s smaller than you’d imagine
