Reviews of nana's green tea DUO Galleria
I tried their Green Tea Mochi Parfait and it was lovely! They have so many parfaits to choose from and I picked the one with mochi on top. The matcha ice cream is nice and earthy and the matcha pudding is amazing, with bitterness that balances out the sweetness. They seem to have some hot foods and mains too but I didn’t get to try. I would recommend their desserts though if you’re in the area!
Given my initial impression that this is just a place for drinks, I was surprised to find a pretty wide selection of food available and the ones we tried were of generally good quality and at affordable prices too!
Rating for food is more like 3.5 ⭐️
The food was not half bad but it was not spectacular. What was truly differentiating was the service unfortunately. It could be that the staff was collectively having a bad day. The door is half blocked by the pedestal, which I could only guess is intentional but I am not sure of the purpose behind this. It creates a bottleneck so it’s difficult to go in or out of the place. We were brusquely told to order at the front desk, seemingly “not allowed” to find seats first. We were not allowed to do away with the rice, which I would think would actually be a boon for the place. You would purportedly charge the same by giving less ingredients..? When we wanted to ask for another tea cup (as it was a bit stained), we were told that the cup was not dirty but that they only do descaling of the cups once a week so in a way ‘live with it please’ 😅 so unfortunately I think we would give this particular branch a miss going forward.
🟩 Nana's Green Tea

● Have been to this Duo Galleria outlet once and food is okay. 🟧 Pics are from a few years ago.
Teriyaki chicken set lunch with a cold blended hojichai latte is perfect for lunch. Price is under $20.
This is a Japanese cafe franchise serving curry rice, udon meals as well as their signature matcha dessert and drinks. Their matcha shiramata parfait which is a green tea ice cream with michi balls and red bean pastes is very good and a must try.
food was delicious! went there for the first time and didn't regret my choice. The portion was quite good and I was really full after having my meal there. sure to come again next time :). I really like the matcha latte as well!
Drinks were large but the matcha latte was too strong and a bit imo. Gave me a slight headache and could feel it affecting my throat. The mochi balls were nice and chewy though and the ice cream was alright.
Second time here and I love their food. It's like a great balance of ingredients, yummy and very sumptuous.
Ordered the nanban chicken don and the kitsune udon. The nanban chicken don comes with really hot and piping chicken thigh meat in a nice batter that is light and not overly oily. The brown rice, potato salad, gardens veggies made the meal complete and well balanced.
The kitsune udon, is great. There are these beancurd skins strips that, whilst on surface looks plain and simple, are actually flavourfully sweet. Goes well with the light broth and udon. Similarly, the portions are sumptuous.
Lastly, had the matcha sundae which is a great dessert I feel because it is not too sweet and has a great amount of matcha bitterness.
The food is actually okay. Had the karaage salad which is a bit salty for my liking and the veg is like 4 leaves and 1 slice worth of diced cucumber. Guess what, the menu prices are all before GST, buyers beware! If not for this, would have been 4 stars!
love the matcha parfait, the quality is amazing and it’s definitely one of the better ones out there! the mains are good as well, especially the chicken nanban!
This place is reputed for their Japanese deserts such as matcha/hochi-cha, parfait & affordable every day set meals
This outlet has a smaller seating capacity than the other outlet at Plaza Singapore.
People usually come here for green tea desserts, but their food is good too. It's usually quite empty, so if you're looking for a quiet place, this fits. Outside seating available as well. Very windy.
One of my to go places when I want comfort food. Udon is well cooked and soup is tasty.
Salad was interesting. If you want a light meal, it's recommended.
Chanced upon this hidden gem located with Duo. As the shop name suggests, the matcha latte is a must have here! The strong matcha taste and creamy texture is so awesome. This is the best matcha latte I had so far as compared to other matcha latte joints which are more expensive and disappointing.
The cooked food menu is not bad as well. I wished the chef can reduce the saltiness of the food though. All the 3 dishes that we ordered were very salty. Other than that, the ingredients were fresh and tender.
Hojicha shiratama parfait has very thick Hojicha ice cream, red bean paste, cream w/brown sugar, cornflakes in sweet cream and Hojicha jelly. Everything blends together well and it's delicious. 🍵
Drinks are good. Food is good too. We came at a time where there is no crowd and so food came in 15 minutes 😃
I love their drinks with red bean, highly recommended. Avoid lunchtime.
Matcha Latte: Delicate matcha flavour and not overpoweringly sweet
Matcha Americano: Matcha taste was not that strong (maybe the ceremonial grade option would’ve been better)
Price $$$$ 💸💸
Food was overall decent. I go this place once a week for lunch.
Food was delicious! We visited on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was full but service was prompt. The only thing that made our experience less pleasant was the service provided by a male staff. He used the right choice of words when addressing my queries, however his tone and body language was rather off putting (e.g. flat tone, raising his voice as if he's annoyed by me asking another question, lack of eye contact). I'm not sure if this is acceptable since there's no service charge.
Service rather slow despite no crowd at dinner time. Food served very basic. Curry udon with fried chicken - that's what get, curry udon with pieces of fried chicken on top, no vegetables or fish cakes in the curry.
Chicken nanban is so delicious, their rice are also different so yummy!
Their matcha ice cream is similar with matcha ice cream in Japan, super recommended, comfort food
Free seating. Queue for ordering took a while... drinks also take some time to arrive.
It is 2023 and it would be lovely if the staff are able to advise the customers nicely when asked whether the soft serve matcha ice cream is Vegan or Vegetarian friendly.
Love the quiet outdoor seating here, and the food is nice. If you don't like Japanese (green) tea their drinks and desserts are a bit limited.
What Michelle and Sandra have both said below are entirely inaccurate. I was a customer dining at Nana’s last night and witnessed the entire situation as well. I am a regular customer and Kaide provides nothing but exceptional service. What happened yesterday was entirely due to the attitude of Michelle and her friend towards Nana’s policy — where softserve is takeaway only. They became very rude and created a ruckus as soon as Kaide mentioned that softserve is for takeaway only. I overheard the two arguing with Kaide saying that it is “not clear” what “takeaway” means even though it is stated VERY clearly on the menu and created a drama scene over this. HELLO? What else can takeaway mean? Must you google or look it up in a dictionary? It’s company policy and not set by her. Cut her some slack. She was just abiding by the rules set forth by her managers. Why give a staff such a difficult time? Do you do things that your boss tells you not to? I don't think so, Michelle. I saw these two do nothing but be condescending towards her, mock her voice, berate her, and make disrespectful comments about her as a manager. Why turn this so personal? Michelle’s male companion then started pointing his finger condescendingly at her demanding an apology even though she clearly apologized earlier for not explaining what takeaway means because I guess he needs an explanation. To make matters worse, Michelle’s friend chucked his softserve onto the floor towards her. Is this enough to show their true character? This lady and his childish boyfriend need to go to anger management class. They were told to leave after his action, but they did not. When Michelle and her friend saw that security came, they both left from the side entrance. If you know you’re right, you would not have to run away. Am I right, Michelle? I do not know why you and your friend have to continuously mention that she's Filipino? It brings no value to your review, only shows your true nature as a racist. The comment from Sandra Lim sounds suspiciously similar to Michelle’s, two hours apart, and no other reviews for months before these review. Do note this.
Other than that, Nana’s Green Tea serves some of the finest matcha and hoji drinks and desserts! This is my go to spot for my matcha cravings!
A place where I would satisfy my craving for their delicious Chicken Nanban. Excellent service staff especially the friendly Indian lady who truly exemplifies what hospitality and excellent service are. Highly recommended 👍👍👍
It was ok
Ambience is nice. Enjoyed the tea but the cake was terrible. Didn't like the cake at all.
Zen and nice place to chill around the area 😌
Food quality is good. But the service leaves much to be desired. Food I a little bit overpriced
Food is good. Prices could be better despite the set lunch packaging.
One of the best matcha places. I would recommend getting their parfaits.
Good
Service took forever, food was average. Not worth the wait.
i like their Macha Warabimochi Parfait 😍😘
Good greentea & Hojicha ,Best Service
Average quality of food.
Nice environment
Is it because there are Japanese staff? The store was neatly cleaned, the food looked and tasted delicious, and the service was good. The only thing I had was a crack in the 🫖, so that's the only thing I'm disappointed about.
Wow I recommend! The Best matcha ice cream!
2 scoops for $6
I gave 4 - I took away 1 point because the service can really be improved. I ask if it is possible to have matcha ice cream and I am told yes. 2 scoops for $6 OK - but only two scoops of the same flavor
So it is not possible to have a ball of matcha and a ball of hijicha - because the cash register did not offer this option. In short it lacked a little flexibility because the price is the same
However, the matcha ice cream is excellent
lunch set
Chicken Nanban - Delicious and good value
There was a little line
· Very comfortable Japanese restaurant
· Eating food does not put too much burden on the body
