Reviews of Ya Kun Family Cafe (West Mall)
Coffee and tea were both good! Eggs were perfectly cooked and the toast was crispy, with a generous serving of kaya and butter. Small indoor seating area but lots of outdoor seating available.
Chicken cutlet with satay sauce was not impressive. The chicken was a bit hard..the satay sauce is ok, it's the sweet type.. the rice is fragrant and portion is generous. The place is small though. 1 table is so cramped with 2 plates of satay chicken.. but I still love the drinks. And the price is ok. It's a nice place to enjoy local coffee/tea.
I ordered tea and coffee in a takeaway carton for my party but I had COVID the day before and started panicking. Cal from Bukit Batok branch is such a wonderful guy. He helped arranged everything and the postponement of my order. Everything went smoothly. His service is commendable, 5 stars!!
We just loved the Nasi Lemak and the Kaya toast we had from there. Really yummy and delicious...
Not expensive. Quick delivery. but a congested place.
After waiting 15 minutes for my toast, I went up to the counter to check on the status. Had a less than pleasant experience with one of the staff, but got my order 5 minutes later.
Steamed bread was nice, but the kaya toast had waaaaay too much butter (this is coming from someone who LOVES butter). Coffee was sour. The egg yolks were nice but the eggs were unfortunately watery and bland overall.
Wouldn't recommend this branch.
Authentic local breakfast delight that is coffee and half boiled egg.
check your order before leaving, my prawn laksa became chicken laksa. still taste good so 4 stars haha
Food and drink are good as Ya Kun high standard.
That can't be said about the staffs. Maybe they need refresher training on how to serve customers properly.
Ya Kun is still my favourite chain when it comes to traditional-style kopi or teh and kaya toast. Their enhanced menu with some fusion food creation like otah grill sandwich is also not bad.
Always love the quality of food and drinks here. Service is exemplary too! Wld say it’s the best among the Ya Kun in the west.
It's Ya Kun. Can't go wrong.
Nice Ambience and food is very delicious. However, due to SafeEntry, we are unable to re-enter the mall after eating outside
Super welcoming and polite counter staff! Place gets crowded easily, hard to get a table.
Friendly staff, nice location. The sitting area outside is nicer but noon time will feel warmer .
Toasted bread taste better than other bread. Frequent ya kun coffee quite often.
Tried the mee rebus. The taste was so-so.
Finally one of the best toast is located in West Mall. Love the toast and set they offer. Two thumbs up.
Butter is too thick 😅, should request for less butter 🧈
Fresh, hot but need to wait plus size of eggs getting smaller.
Nice drinks like Kopi and iced lemon tea too.... their toast bread is good too.
Steam bun and thick French toast perfect for every occasions.
Ya kun is the same everywhere. Convenient for a simple quick bite and/or a short coffee break
Small place with outdoor sitting. Drinks may not always be great
Like the coffee here but never liked the service attitude.
Always busy, and lack of dinning area.
Affordable eating place; lots of varieties to choose from.
This Cafe is Cheap and Nice Worthy to eat
Dedicated staff. Good coffee.
Great Traditional coffee
Great place to have coffee
Seating no good
good
Superb coffee and tea
Good restaurants
The sweet coffee tastes similar to canned coffee Georgia.
I ate Kaya toast with raw egg. delicious.
Too much milk, no tea flavor
Half-boiled egg too raw
Bread, butter and eggs, what a nutritious breakfast!
