Reviews of DGA Threads
The first time I visited DGA was in 2020, and I was impressed by their unique collections. The shop owner Mr. Pino is super friendly and has a great taste. Since then, it has become my favorite fashion shop in Singapore. Although I’m now living abroad, I always make sure to visit them every time I'm back. I'm truly grateful that there is such a beautiful corner in this vast world that reminds me that elegance and delicacy can be timeless
Absolutely exquisite collection, never seen anything quite like it. Impeccable craftsmanship and attention to detail. A must-visit for those seeking top-tier fabrics and handiwork. Knowledgeable and passionate owner adds to the allure.
Pino, "a creator of dreams, where elegance meets authenticity in every bespoke design". He who is renowned for his meticulous attention to detail, each creation tells a story of passion and perfection, not only crafts breathtaking creations but also forges meaningful connections with his clients.
Mr Pino truly understands what suits my personality, life style n character… He chose this combination (after trying on others ) n I do do love ….
Excellence service from Mr Pino the owner of DGA Threads. Love the quality & design of the clothing.
Gem of a find! Excellent workmanship on natural fabrics🤩 Wearable art pieces. Gorgeousss
Pino and his creations are one of a kind. DGA Threads is an absolute gem of a boutique, in fact I don't know any other boutique that compares in Singapore. You go in not knowing what you'll find and come out the other side with some exquisite pieces in hand - each with a story, history and charm. I love everything I own from DGA. Original always, with an element of elegance and fun. A must go to shop for those who love beautiful items.
An absolute find of a boutique...stumbled in one day after croissants and latte at Tiong Bahru Bakery as it's literally a stone's throw away... and never looked back.
A must-visit for anyone looking to add one-of-a-kind, masterfully-tailored, Japanese vintage-inspired pieces to their wardrobe. I love every single piece I've acquired since that first visit...the good news is, you don't have to take out a mortgage to buy these unique pieces but you can be assured that your piece will instantly become your favourite in your wardrobe...speaking from experience of course.
DGA Thread is located at the heart of Tiong Bahru, the ever-so-chic "Soho" of Singapore. Walking into the boutique is like walking into an artist's atelier in a bygone era....you get transported to a little lane off the main streets of Kyoto...time slows down.. you get a whiff of Magnolia, maybe Camphor...and you enter a treasure trove of quiet sophistication and style.... where the proprietor welcomes you as he would an honoured guest, or an old friend...offers you his amazing eye and gift of what works and what doesn't and magically pulls out that exact piece that looks as though it were tailored with you in mind. Ectomorphs, endomorphs or mesomorphs alike will find something that makes them feel like they too have that Je ne sais quoi...
Check out DGA's signature mobius scarves...a double helix of black silk and turqoise shibori engineered to perplex and delight... their indigo blue obi juxtaposed against denim Japanese style wrap pants....unisex of course...or that to-die-for forgiving Japanese cotton summer dress with just a splash of Crimson at the neckline...a snippet of a vintage 1920's silk kimono....heaven.
Ask the proprietor about his journey from private banker extrodinaire to style guru and you could spend hours in situ... soaking in the atmosphere, getting infected by his enthusiasm and learning how each vintage piece came to life...conversation will turn to where you will be bringing these pieces on your travels... soon you'll be sharing stories of roads travelled and journeys ahead...emerging just in time for afternoon tea. Ah. Such a perfect way to spend an afternoon.
a really unforgettable and educational visit! the shop was really lovely and had a good ambience. the owner was very welcoming to us art history students and he was very kind and patient with us. thank you so much for showing us around and sharing your extensive knowledge with us, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience :) fabrics are of really good quality as well! i would highly recommend visiting the store!! ☺️
Most amazing and unique store in Singapore. Bespoke and heirloom quality. Each piece is something to be handed down to the next generation. Surprisingly well priced considering the high quality and high design elements. So happy to have stumbled upon this beautiful shop.
very nice ambience and unique design here. I have been here twice and each time a pleasurable experience. This time got myself a trouser which is a foldable design with beautiful floral pattern on the side. Never seen foldable waistline adjustments before, it's definitely a delicate piece.
Whenever in Singapore, my wife and I consider a must paying a visit to this gallery in Tiong Bahru and revel in the amazing mix of beautiful antiques, gorgeous fabrics and tasteful objects of art from all over Asia and beyond, while being guided and inspired by Pino, the charming and competent owner. Not to be missed!
Pino is one of the most Honest bankers i have know for last 20 years. He has a passion for art and helping people understand different types of art. His knowledge of japanese tapestry, aboriginal art from australia to tibetian carpets is just amazing. He is very passionate in what he does and has a very strong value system. He is a God fearing man who only spreads his knowledge of art through his work
We’ve been visiting DGA periodically for years. The clothing is one of a kind. The owner is delightful and clearly loves what he does. This sort of loving attention to detail and solo entrepreneurship should be encouraged. I am sure you will find a unique piece that you will treasure for years.
A lovely store with a even lovelier owner , the clothings they carry are one of a kind and I absolutely love it here. Definitely would recommend my firends to come take a look.
We are totally fascinated by the design of DGA Threads Mask. They are not only function-able, it is modern, fashionable and comfy. The lovely fabric and desgin makes it so unique that you will not be able to find an identical piece at all. We simply love it!
Recently arrived in Singapore, I am most grateful to my friends who made me discover this special place, a little jewel of creativity and kindness... The fabrics are just amazing as well as the designs and the imagination of the creator. 👏👏👏
A must to visit whenever you are in Tiong Bahru neighbourhood. DGA has got very unique collections .
Owner Passion clearly displayed on every corner of the shop . Highly recommended

Unfair is master who can recreate him/herself at will, simply because he/she can. Pino De Giosa of DGA Threads is a master who resurrects exquisite fabrics from the past and turns them into a modern day attitude. A girl like me , couldn't get luckier !
Resplendent & Unique!
Love DGA Threads.
Pino made my day!
He is so passionate about what he does and so willingly to share it with you.

Amazing exclusive art fashion pieces ! Wondrous service ! Definitely thumbs up !
Great
A small shop where I get itchy every once in a while and go hunting for treasures. There are elegantly tailored clothes, antiques and paintings collected from all over the place. The boss's aesthetics are simply unrivaled. Every time I go there, I bump into some interesting people, coming and going, which adds a magical atmosphere to the shop😄 Girls who don’t want to wear matching clothes and pursue beauty rather than logos, come and have a look
