I don't really write reviews, but I think this is important. To provide context, therapy has never been something I truly considered. In fact, I shied away from it. In addition to this, it is important for you to know that I never write reviews. Seriously, the number of reviews I have written is likely in the single digits. So, with that, here's a review of Karl. If you are on the fence, go see Karl. You won’t regret it. Even if it’s only for a couple of sessions, you will quickly know if his style is right for you. What is Karl's strength? He has a natural gift, which he has further honed, of being able to connect with anyone by being authentic, vulnerable himself, and an incredible listener. He then has a knack for applying his years of experience to what you are specifically going through, allowing you to discern the right next steps for yourself. In so doing, you build your own personal internal working model that you can grow and develop as you move forward with your life. And I don’t say this lightly. I believe that a truly effective therapist will make themselves obsolete. They are so good that they teach you how to sustainably and consistently be responsible for your emotions and, ultimately, yourself without the need for professional support. And this is exactly what Karl does. I could say things like: he helped me figure out how to think about my emotions as information, enabling me to use them as an internal sustainable compass. Or, that he helped me identify my true, unacknowledged fears that were influencing my actions. Or even, that he helped me start to understand my unconscious thoughts by providing mechanisms to uncover them. Instead, I’ll leave you with a Carl Jung quote: "Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate." Karl can help you take control of your fate.

The listening ear clinic, gives on an opportunity to be able to look at one’s self-deceptions or blame games that are holding one back from understanding and enjoying a less strained life. Karl has a wonderful depth of insight, warmth and humour that can really disarm the one’s who are seriously committed to looking at themselves in the mirror. Karl creates a compassionate, safe and loving non-judgmental environment; along with incredible resources to ideas, books and insights that really help in the unfurling, processing and release of trauma. A game changer to find an authentic therapist who actually cares. For those who care deeply about their growth and seek to be honest, this is home.
