If anyone is considering The Outset for their small and intimate wedding reception dinner, please go for it!!! Here’s why: 1. Incredible Service Gina, who is the sales manager, is a gem to work with. I reached out via email to learn more about the venue, and she provided the decks explaining the hourly rates, menu, complimentary decor options and such. I then scheduled a viewing, and she answered the many questions I had without judgment. After that, I created a vision deck to show her how I wanted my event to be set up and scheduled a second viewing to go through the deck. She clarified my questions professionally and also gave some advice regarding the number of pax to cater for, taking into account a buffer in relation to the actual number of pax. She responds quickly and is also very accommodating to my needs. 2. Perfect Venue I was told that my desired layout had never been done before (as they have three common layouts offered), yet it was done perfectly. In the vision deck I provided, I showcased where I wanted their logistics to be and how, and they executed it so well. They were also understanding and allowed us to send our event coordinator to set up the venue before our stipulated booking time, as my solemnization was at another venue beforehand. I wanted a venue that was small yet modern because I wanted to see all my 110 pax, and this layout fit perfectly. 3. Amazing Food Since most of my guests were Malay, I was afraid that the absence of traditional Malay wedding food (like ayam sambal, nasi minyak, rendang, etc) would be an issue. Boy was I wrong. Everyone loved the food, and more than half the room went for second servings. It was just enough, and I had no regrets. 4. Hands-on Staff The service staff they provided were helpful and proactive in assisting us with our last-minute needs. I felt reassured that if anything went wrong (thankfully, nothing did), I would receive proper support. 5. Great Accommodation & Overall Experience We were also given a dressing room that was large enough for lots of things and people. It even had a steamer! This might seem normal, but it was a great room with huge full-length mirrors and a handicapped accessible toilet attached. It really made things more convenient for us. To sum it up, I had not a single bad experience throughout my entire encounter with Gina and my time at The Outset. I’m so happy I had my reception dinner there. Lots of guests loved the venue too, as well as the basic decor they put up for us (everything else was customized by us). Friends who saw my IG stories even asked me where it was held. Thank you Gina, for lifting off the majority of my stress on my wedding day!

Hi good day! My wife and I were looking for a place to have a little and simple wedding dinner reception and through a friend’s recommendation; we found the Outset. I must say although the venue was a little small and yet, it managed to accommodate 60 pax for our wedding dinner reception. Gina who was one of the crew present when I first visited the venue was very helpful. She provided assurances and guarantees that would make my wedding dinner reception a success. My wife and I chose the Pearl theme for our wedding and it was truly remarkable and a beautiful environment. The decoration that was setup was beautiful. The food menu gave us a variety of options to pick from and it didn’t disappoint. Our guests gave us plenty of good feedback regarding the food that was served during our dinner. Although, many have left remarks saying that the carved beef was a little hard but otherwise, the rest of the food was great! Gina was also present during the event and assisted us in our presentations (Video montage, karaoke singing and etc) Thanks again Gina for everything you’ve done for me and my wife on this special occasion! If you’re looking to have a small and a simple intimate gathering or celebration, drop whatever it is you’re doing and check the Outset out asap!

Held my son’s first birthday at the Outset and it had all we wanted. A venue with ample space, adequate seating, flexible layouts, bouncy castle included. The staffs were very helpful and attentive throughout the birthday celebration, attending to my and my guest needs. The food served also received lots of good praises from my guests. Thank you Gina as well for being patient with my request and questions : )

Held my wedding at The outset after seeing a friend hosting hers few years back. Loved the simplicity yet the thoroughness of a full wedding. Booked through wedding fair so I had free live station (chef payable). Able to choose between buffet or table course meals (3 types of cuisine to select from). Max pax 136 with an aisle down to the stage. Food was decent too👍🏻 Only few things to take note: sound & projector system not the best, make up room not avail before banquet, payable as per booking hour (may or may not have disc) Otherwise, would still choose to host it again here 😊

We had the opportunity to have our intimate wedding here and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly! The service and food were amazing and our guests had a blast! My wife and I held our solemnisation at The Outset, and it was a memorable experience! The included decorations were well done, and we went with the citrine theme, which looked great! The custom signage provided at the ground floor, as well as the custom CHICHA banner, added a nice touch to the event! Overall, the setup was lovely! The food was great, and our guests really enjoyed it, with most of the dishes being cleared by the end of the event! The Guinness on tap was also well-received by our guests, and the Chicha live station was well-loved by our guests! A big thank you to Yvonne and Gina for all your hard work and support! Thanks to the staffs as well for helping with the high chairs for our guests!

This place was really a steal. Gina was really responsive and helpful, and the venue itself was really beautiful. The place was very worth the rates offered and the formal dinner went smoothly. The food was also up to standard. Really enjoyed hosting an event here.

The vibe is best described as industrial 'chic(?)' cos it is located in an industrial building. One MAJOR issue is that there is literally NO car park lots available so you would beed to park in the HDB estate nearby. If the place is packed, it can get a bit warm.

Did a birthday party for my LO, and the guests were all very satisfied with the food and ambience of the place! They accommodated 90 guest seated, with bouncy castle and sufficient space for guests to mingle around. All kids and adults were happy!
